Simply less is more challenge: one layer with animal

This weeks challenge over at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.nl/
is about one layer card and to include an animal.
Not sure if a butterfly can be catergorised as an animal, might have to redo this with a dinosaur or something...
I've masked off the butterfly area and used pigment ink to stamp 2 flowers in 3 colors, using 2nd and 3rd generation stamping to stretch colours even more.
I've stamped on thin watercoloru paper so the pigment ink dries better.
the sentiment is in one of the colours as well.

Ok, made another one with the dinosaur from Lawn Fawn's critters from the past with the leaves and pawprint as well. Had to outline the dino on this one as the open shapes of the leaves didin;t really define the blanc area well. Sentiment also from Critters from the past.
Will go change the entry now ;-)

  3. Great cards Maaike, you're right, the dinosaur is truly an animal, but the butterfly does belong to the animal kingdom I guess.
The dino card is terrific... great background!
    Thanks so much
