For this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Using memory box, spring flowers and spring showers, was quite hard.
I started by inking raindrops through a stencil, didn't like it, added some dimension with Wendy Vecchi translucent embossing paste..better but hmmm.
die cut the Cityscape by night and added it on a black background with a gigantic yellow diecut sun...too black for spring, added some colored embossing paste with the Memory box stencil "drifting"...nah.
I don't have a Memory box stencil with flowers or a die, just a wintery tree and branch and well a few non topic stencils.
In the end I decided to sponge the background as a blurred flower patch, added the Memory box Drifting stencil with Wendy Vecchi's translucent paste.
I've diecut the sentiment from Simon Says stamp out of white cardstock added a few enamel dots in coordinating colors (just punched circles, inked with the same Distress inks and then covered with glossy accents ).I thought to add some flower outline stamps, but I think the butterflies should get the full attention (focus) they deserve.
