A trio of colors and roses

I'd like to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: a trio  of colors
and the AAA cards Challenge: spectacular embossing.

I've used a flower stencil and inked Distress inks Twister citron and picked raspberry through it. Just one shade for the flowers and the leafs, only more concentrated in parts to give it some shading. Tumbled glass for the sky.
After inking the flowers I mixed the Wendy Vecchi translucent embossing paste with an iridescent glitter and applied it, let it dry, then sponged the blue sky.

The diecut is also inked with picked raspberry in an ombre like effect then attached the the cardpanel with Elizabeth crafts double sided adhesive.

I hope you can see the wonderful glimmer in the flowers and leafs.I thought it was all the embellishment this card needed, was tempted with sequins but didn't want to detract from the beautiful roses.

  2. Stunning! Brilliant colours that just shine and sparkle and I think you were so right to keep it simple and not add the sequins - so difficult to stop when you're enjoying yourself. Thanks for sharing at AAA Cards.
