Freshly made sketches challenge #184

Freshly Made Sketchs Challenge #184.

I Inked the left of the card with Distress ink (peacock feathers, cracked pistachio and tumbled glass).
I don't have many ornameltal die cuts yet, just some snowflakes and stars, hearts, squares, etc, you know basic shapes.
Instead of a tag I die cut the word Hoera (hooray) in that position. Die cut a few more in plain white and stacked them to give a little dimension (just 3)
Added rhinestones with gluedots to help your eye travel across the card.

AAA cards challenge #38: there's a hole in my card

AAA cards challenge #38: there's a hole in my card.

Great I thought I can finally put my Art Impressions stampset to good use.
I had wanted it since I saw it, bought it a few weeks ago, started coloring, then lost the plot so I put the colored imaga aside in my project bin, I just couldn't figure out how to assemble this lot.
And let me tell you, it looks like it wasn't my best crafty day as I messed this card up more times than I care to count....
Infact halfway through I started on another one with a lovely easy peasy die cut and stamp from Lawn Fawn, but I wasn't going to give up surely?
So I bit the bullit and carried on.
It's a birthday card with a window into a house full of cats. The wood pattern is to resemble wallpaper or woodpanelling if you prefer, infact I have wallpaper like that in my living room ;-)
The  back of the cats is my favorite part.
the two black and white ones are an impression of my own cats and they had a few friends over for a party....lol..
Hope you like it..still sweating lol...this card brought me to breaking point, seriously...

Here are my adorable cheeky twins sleeping "comfortably"on top of laundry tower.

This is the other one, watercolored front panel with diecut, raised on foam and a Spectrum Noir colored flower.
the sentiment is from Joy Craft's cherry blosson tree set.

Less is more challenge #221: add a TAG

For this week's Less is more challenge I've used watercolor paper, a Ranger Dylusions stamp called Mushroom madness.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Gleeful gardens set.
Coloring with Ranger Distress inks.
Tag is made with same watercolor paper. Splattering also Distress inks.

CAS(E) this Sketch #120

For the CAS(E) this sketch challenge #120 I actually made 3 cards as a proces.
I ended up with this on on the left as my entry.
Bird and background are coloured with distress inks.

My first entry also looks a lot like the sketch, but I changed the orientation, then when I placed the sentiment I kinda felt like I messed it up, and that I had stepped away from the sketch too much.
Alos don't like the little blue shadow that grounds the bird.
In the card above I just placed him on the border, so it looks like it's standing on the white.

This first card didn't feel CAS enough to me.

I moved on to this image, orientation as in the sketch, sentiment, as in sketch, splotchy background added to the image, because there is no way I can cut that out!
I made the background splotchy by adding watercolor whilst using the heatgun to dry the paper, so the drips don't get the chance to fan out, if that's the right technical term ;-).
Torn the edges and mounted it with foam tape....
better, but not it  either.

The third card to me is more CAS and mor elike the sketch, although I changed the placement of the sentiment (again), just because the bird is looking up. The Speech bubble might be a little cheesy, but I liked it. 3 gems to make your eyes travel across the card.

Freshly made sketches challenge #183

Freshly made sketches challenge #183.

I've used a Scrapberry stencil as a stamp for the floral panel, inked with Distress inks.
For the bar at the bottom I used the same inks to mimic the 2 bars in the sketch.
The sponged bar looks much better blended in real life than on the photo :-(
I've stamped my sentiment on vellum, to tone down the floral panel and I used a bold stamp from Sizzix so it would stand out even more.

Lawnscaping Challenge #104: sketch inspired

Lawnscaping challenge: sketch inspired.
I wanted a mostly one layer card, so I've masked off three areas and sponged the background with Distress inks in an ombre like effect.
Then  I've stamped Lawn Fawn's critters from the past in the 3 windows and colored them in with alcohol markers.
I've used the stones also as clouds, clever eh?
I've die cut a circle for the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape so I could arrange some leaves behind it.
I've covered the little blue egg with Glossy Accents.

I was awarded the Honorable gnome badge for my card, so thank you!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: due date

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Due date.
I don't have any date stamps, preggie stamps or alike, so I started thinking how to go about this challenge.
I've opted for the "I'm sorry I'm late" because that is like missing a deadline, isn't it?
The images and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn, gleeful gardens.
I masked a square and taped it off for water coloring with my Peerless watercolors, but I let a few images hang over the edges.
The snail is holding the birthday card and I die cut them and popped it up on foam tape for some dimension.
