Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: stamp and mist

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: stamp and mist.

I've used a stamp from Stampendous (changito in space). Colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers, sentiment on the banner is also from that stampset.

Now for the background, which I obviously spent the most time on... It's supposed to look like a nebula of some sorts.
I googled pink nebulas, you know cos pinks and purples are my favourite colors.
I've used a variety of watercolors mostly Talens ecoline but the green bits are Distress spray stain (it's that fabulous new twisted citron),so are the white and silvery specks (picket fence and brushed pewter)
If I had more sprays I could have done the whole background, but alas....
It's on 300grams (140lbs) hot pressed smooth watercolor paper from Schut.
This is actually my second take the other is on the back of this piece..messed that up...lol.

Happy birthday fish

I've been doing a lot of stencilling this week for various challenges, and now I've even combined 4 challenges!
Wow, because I usually don't, but am running out of inspiration and time a bit too fast this week, so my apologies...

The themes are :
paste and or stencilling for AAA cards,
SPLASH for Addicted to CAS
One layer challenge #62 CAS on Sunday
and
Wild for Inkspirational, I  mean a fish is a wild animal, right?

I've used two stencils from Simon Says stamp (waves and falling snow upside down to make rising bubbles).
The bubbles are also covered with texture paste and some blue glitter mixed in the paste.

The fish jumping out of the water and splashing the bubbles to wish you a happy birthday, a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp (happy 3x4) the fish is from Ranger Dylusions set clearly under the sea, which I coloured in contrasting colour to the blue sea to make him pop.

wow i impressed myself with these 4 in one challenges ;-)
hope you like my creation.

The Friday Mashup Challenge #214 Stencil this!

The Friday Mashup Challenge #214 Stencil this!

Ok so Summer starts tomorrow and this is the second Christmas/winter card i've made today!...I guess it's because I had some of the supplies out and I really like the blue tones for a frosty look.

I used the Dutch Doo Ba Doo stencil as  a stamp, meaning you slather the stencil in dye ink (Distress in my case) then spray it with water until soaking.

you remove it from the spot it was otherwise you'll pick up the water and maybe colour in the "holes" bits of the stencil too.
I laid a piece of watercolour on top and let the dye soak in for a good 30 seconds I think.
wherever the holes there should be a crisp white image.
the sentiment is from Avery Elle (let is now) and the snowflake die is from Marianne Design.

I first  made a different version, but that wasn't monochromatic and I wanted to mash things up ;-)
I've sponged the Distress inks (inlcuding the new twisted citron, fast becoming a favourite) and then mixed translucent embossing paste with iridescerent glitter, hope you cans ee the shimmer in the photo, i'll keep this for another card ;-)

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Don't cut, just paste

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Don't cut, just paste.

Isn't the title already such fun, you just want to get stuck in?
Well I thought so and stuck in ;-)

I've used the Simon Says Stamp Feathers die and
cut out a stencil for the feathers background.
To help me line up the die (which I didn't separate) I've stuck some gridded paper on the heavy cardstock.

Then Sponged the  feathers with Distress inks (mermaid lagoon, peacock feathers and a mix of twisted citron with cracked pistachio as just citron was too bright for me).
I've then mixed some fine white/iridescerent glitter with the Wendi Vecchi  translucent embossing paste, and slathered that over the stencil.

I've die cut the small hello from Simon Says stamp and feathers and foiled them with Wow foil and deco foil from Icraft/thermoweb.
Hung the feathers from the sentiment and glued it in place.
I've mounted the feathered panel with foam tape and sponged the card edges with mermaid lagoon.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: friends or superhero

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: friends or superhero.
Showcasing Mama Elephant products.
Sadly I have none, I have my eye on some, but they´re not in my possession...yet.

So I went down the route of friend with a Lili of the valley stamp (on the garden wall) and a Joy craft sentiment (cherry blossom tree).

Stamped with StazOn and watercoloured with Talens ecoline, Peerless watercolors for the hair.
Smooth hot pressed watercolor paper.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: for the love of plants

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: For the love of plants.

I've used Lawn Fawn stamp and die set Gleeful Garden.
For the sentiment  I've used Simon Says Stamp Tilted banner sayings stamp and die.

Colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol makers and the window background is sponged with Distress inks, including the fabulous new Twisted citron.

The panel with the circle windows is raised on foam as are parts of the images to make them pop out of their frame.
Was in two minds about using a colored banner, but chose white in the end, to keep all the focus on the lovely colored bits.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #65: Butterfly

Addicted to CAS Challenge #65: Butterfly.

Excuse the awkward angle, the card is all good and square, but the angle I shot it at was a bit off ;-)...

I stamped the butterflies in Memento black ink and coloured them with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp (birthday balloons).
3 matching pearls.
CAS at it's max and I love it...;-)
The paper is special Neenah classic crest blending paper, i've glue taped it to the card bas, as alcohol markers will bleed through on one layer cards.
