Simon Say Stamp Monday Challenge: twisted citron

Simon Say Stamp Monday Challenge: twisted citron.

All thing citrus:

Took inspiration from the picture below, I found it with Google, so not sure who to credit,  I see, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, pink grapefruits and bloodoranges, I miss a clementine though lol...
Anyway I used Distress reinkers as watercolors (twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, festive berries, spiced marmalade,  ripe persimmon and picked raspberries).
Damped the watercolor paper and started dotting the ink with a brush, when I was happy with the coverage I sprayed some more water to get the color flowing, sadly the twisted citron went a bit muddy in the process :-(.
Made a panel of vellum and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's birthday balloons and white embossed it.
Some home made enamel dots that match, voilá

Same colors sponged on vellum, completely different look

Doesn't my cat have the best taste in cardboard boxes? ;-) Doesn't matter how small it is, he will make it fit lol...his sister wasn't impressed

Fresly made sketches #199

Fresly  made sketches #199

I've Used the Congratulations Stamoset from Simon Says Stamp and coordinating paper from the May cardkit.
Pearla and a cardboard rose (actually a cupcake topper but don't tell anyone) and golden twine to tie in the the foiled patterned paper, that gives the feeling of the banner from the sketch I think.

AAA cards Challenge #46: maskerade

AAA cards Challenge #46: maskerade.

I masked off a strip on the cardfront and with my mini Distress blendingtools I've sponged on Twisted citron, mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch in a gradient.

I've diecut the Hoera from cardstock onto which I stuk some doublesided adhesive prior to cutting.
Peeled off the backing and exposed the adhesive then "masking" certain parts off I could do a rainbow glitter gradient.
burnished it well and glued it to the cardfront.
Cas but fun!

I had a different idea at first and that was to cover the strip with black stamped butterflies and then use one white diecut one, but browsing through my dies I came upon this die and decided to do a custom glitter effect ;-)

might still make the other one though lol, but somehow the butterflies didn't sound CAS to me anymore...

Less is More Challenge #237: Congratulations

Less is More Challenge #237: Congratulations.

I made a "his and hers" feather and two sentiments, one on the inside, which I usually don't do, but it would have been too crammed  on the front and I really wanted to use the tying the knot  one.

The sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp (congratulations) and are gold embossed for a bit of luxury on this wedding card.

The feathers were diecut from the frontpanel and are also from Simon Says Stamp (feathers) and I've inked the cardbase in Distress inks (hers: picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade; for his: peacock feathers, cracked pistachio and mermaid lagoon).

I made a start yesterday, but as I was out all day with a friend visiting Delft I was way too tired and not able to concentrate, so I messed up two cardfronts and bases with inky fingers or even an inky distress lid or two, normally I would cover them up with enamel dots or something alike, but I wanted this to be as CAS as possible so I haven't even raised the frontpanel on foam tape I usually do. So this monring I started a fresh and I'm really pleased with the outcome.

The Friday Mashup! Challenge #231: Field of flowers

The Friday Mashup! Challenge #231: Field of flowers.

I've made a card on watercolor paper and stamped the sentiment from Joy Crafts! cherry blossom tree and the flowers are from Penny Black- Fresh.

I've used Seedless preserve, mustard seed and peeled paint from Distress inks to match the colors of the challenge, as I don't have any Stampin'up inks.
Mixed the  yellow and red to get a darker yellow and also splattered the colors on the background.
Some iridescerent medium to dilute the paint instead of water and to give it a nice shimmer.

CAS(E) this sketch #136

CAS(E) this sketch #136
I've used Simon Says Stamp air vent die and stuck a strip of gold paper behind it, for a minute I considered raising it, but at the sides it would have been too difficult to even attempt ;-)

Same gold cardstock for the sentiment that is from Memory box (small thanks)
Cut the panel slightly smaller than the cardbase and mounted that with foam tape.
Simple and elegant ...I like it!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: food and or drink with SSS

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: food and or drink with SSS

I've used the birthday circle die set for the cupcake.
Die cut silver metallic paper and purple and green glitter paper and inlaid it into the silver cardstock.
Die cut a stitched circle and as the stitches are on the negative bit I mounted the cupcake onto that, raised the smaller frontpanel with foamdots and stamped the sentiment (from Dovecraft)

at first I thought I could well use a Simon Says Stamp Birthday sentiment from the bithday Balloons, but as the challenge is about food and or drinks I thought this to be a better match, also fits more occasions, sorry!
