You are all kinds of wonderful

I just had a duh moment...The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is about the summer garden featuring Paper Artsy, But I read Paper Smooches before, so I used them...ah well dyslexia sometimes comes out to play ;-)

Anyway for my card I used some cheaper watercolor paper, a stencil from Hero Arts (bold floral) and Distress inks.

I used the technique you can see in the video for a different card.
Basically it's covering the stencil with Distress inks, spraying that with water and them press the watercolor paper into it.

I cut a strip of black cardstock, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder from Zing.
Wrapped it around the panel and mounted the panel with foamtape onto a cardbase.

I wanted to recreate some of the chaos going on in my allotment garden at the moment, more jungle than garden, but I love that actually!

You're my favorite human shaker card with video

For my father on father's day I made him a shaker card with a goldfish. He actually keeps Koi carps, but hey...still fish lol, cousins I believe.
Anyway..I chose a stitched circle die to make my window as it could be a fishbowl or a porthole or alike. I cut it from white cardstock and bluefoam.
I  stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches (fun and flirty) with Versafine onyx black ink.
Then I made a underwater world backdrop to the window by sponging on Tim Holtz Distress inks and Spray Stains and some water.
I stamped the algea with green Ranger dye inks, let it dry.
I then assembled the shaker portion by mounting the cardpanel to a piece of acetate, then the foam for the pocket.
I chose blue foam as it would be more interesting from the side, you know if you make dimension it's ok to see it I think ;-).

I filled the shaker with sequins and glitter and confetti in blue, green, teal and white tones.

Mounted the backdrop and then attached this to the cardbase.

The goldfish is from Hero Arts (color layering goldfish) and I also stamped it with Ranger dye inks and then also with Versamark so I could heat emboss it with Wow! cha cha cha glitter powder as if it has shiny scales a fish should have, attached it to the card with taperunner.

On the inside I stuck the second fish you see in the video and the sentiment from Crafter's companion (popcorn the bear) voor vaderdag (for father's day) I forgot to take a photo and it's in a sealed envelope already for next week's posting ;-)

I think it's OK for a guy/father but I wouldn;t mind getting it either, maybe with a purple fish lol

Purple Hello

The Less is More Challenge #279 is: purple.
The Inkspirational Challenge #110 is: text.

Now most people used a text background stamp for Inkspirational, which was my first idea too, but, ofcourse, I had to be different in some way ;-)

I started with purple glitterpaper diecuts of some butterflies, discarted that idea, when  flicking trough my die storage bin, I came across this die from Simon Says Stamp (big hello).

I could have diecut a piece of purple glitter paper, but I chose to make life a little more complicated and custom ;-)..

I cut a piece of printerpaper to the size of the die, then covered both sides with Elizabeth Crafts double sided adhesive tape.
Placed the die, taped it in place and ran it through the Bigshot, quite a few times, although the printerpaper was thin, the release paper on the adhesive is quite tough. Left it in the die.

I cut a cardpanel, 1 cm smaller than the cardbase and peeled off the back of the diecut and, using the stiffness of the die, I positioned it on the cardpanel and  released it from the die bit by bit.
Then peeled off the top layer or releasepaper and scattered three purplecolored glitter onto the exposed adhesive. I wanted to acchieve some sort of ombre from a magenta through to deeppurple. Rubbed the glitter well to make sure it stays put ;-)

Placed two rhinestones at either side.

Dainty flowers

Cas Colours & Sketches Challenge #176.

For my card I sued the Paper Smooches die Dainty flowers. I adhered Stick-it to the back of the white ones, if I had thought ahead I would also have done that for the inserts...but cut them out with the Bigshot.

For the colors I used Distress inks (picked raspberry, spunsugar and squeezed lemonade) and just swiped the inkpads onto cardstock and then die cut those out as well.

Stuck the white borders onto the bardbase and inset all the coloured pieces, messed ou the yellow one with too much glue, tried to fix it with a damp cloth then and reaser, wasn't pretty ;-) But it actually looks worse on the picture than in real life phew...

Sentiment is from Craft Emotions (gefeliciteerd-nl) and I stamped it with Versafine black onyx.
I tried fossilized amber and mustard seed Distress inks too, but I found them too dark.

Update June 16th:

AAA cards Challenge game #66: watercolour

AAA cards Challenge game #66: watercolour

I love watercolouring as you might know. This time I used Talens Ecoline a liquid watercolouring medium, with vibrant and transparent colours.

Very vibrant! on Schut  Terschelling watercolour paper (rough).

I stamped the cat from Katzelkraft (les chat russe) with My Favorite Things  hybrid black ink.

The sentiment is from Carft Emotions (gefeliciteerd-nl), I stamped that with Versafine right on the cardbase.
I mounted the watercoloured panel with foamtape.

Very easy card. This square was left over from cutting up 40x50cm watercolour paper into cardsize chunks. I stamped all of them (12) and the cardbases as well, so I've been busy for a few days, but this one just fit the challenge perfectly and I had to use my beloved grumpy cat ofcourse.

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd means something like congratulations from the heart or heartfelt, or something that translates to that ;-).

I didn't use a Happy birthday stamp for some reason I would have "" the happy ;-) "happy" birthday lol...

For my friend on your birthday

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: monochrome.
And the Wednesday Challenge: Mask it.

For my card I  masked off a strip on my cardfront with Post-it tape and then covered the rest of the cardfront with scrappaper.
Then I sponged Distress inks in orange hues into the opening (ripe persimmon, spiced marmalade and wildhoney).

I also sponged the colors on some scrap paper and punched them out in different sizes.

I stamped the images and sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp set  Friendship blooms in Versafine black ink.

I used Wink of Stella clear on the circles/dots placed tem on the card with gluedots and then covered them in Ranger glossy accents to make flat but shiny enamel dots.
