Snowman
The Simon Says Stamp work it Wednesdays challenge is to use our favorite stamp as Stemptember is about to commence. It also runs for two months this time.
In The Netherlands, Action stores sell the brand Craft Sensations, they're sold elsewhere too, not sure where though, UK for sure. (ref no. CR0360K/A).
Anyway you can make this card with any stamp and coordinating die. Penny Black has similar ones.
I diecut the snowman from a panel to get a window of some sorts.
Stamped my favorite Merry Christmas stamp (Hero Arts classic Christmas borders). it's an oldie, but I love that font, I stamped it with Versafine onyx black ink and heat set it.
Then I stamped the snowman with Simon Says Stamp intense black ink on hot pressed watercolor paper and colored it with Talens Ecoline. Fixed it with fixative spray, then used the Nuvo shimmer pen (clear gloss on the hat and scarf).
Mounted the watercolor panel with red tape and adhered it to the card.
To position it I held it behinde the panel and pressed both down.
Mounted the panel with foam tape so you get depth behind the opening.

Back to school
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is : back to school, showcasing Avery Elle products.
For my card I used the Avery Elle party bus and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp back to school set.
I stamped both with Versafine onyx black ink on hot pressed watercolor paper.
I usually use the intense black from SSS but it's going dry and I forgot how I didn't really like Versafine on wc paper...but hey I rolled with it, stamped in on the back as well, the Talens Ecoline and also Distress inks tends to wick out when I use this stamping ink, not sure why.
I colored the party bus yellow as I thought it would look like a schoolbus of sorts and the
kids are just happy to go back...
Added some washi tape on the bottom as the wc panel in narrower and mounted the panel with foamtape to the cardbase.

using real objects...
..that's the challenge this week over at Less is More.
For my real objects I thought to pull out my buttons again. Haven't used them in ages, so thank you LiM!
At first I wanted to make a bear (polar bear would have been nice) but I didn't have the right colors and or sizes, so whilst rummaging in the button collection I came across these pretty butterflies and I thought I could use them on my card, and I did lol.
I stamped the grass border from Joy Crafts in Memento gray flannel as well as the sentiment from Clearly Besotted (brushed greetings 2).
AS I like thinking of you cards to be subdued and tranquil, with just a pop of color that is provided by my cute buttons, I attached
them with glue dots.
Coming up with the card took longer than making it ;-)

Woodware party pigs, with video and Ali Express haul
I tried to find as many of the dies as I could, some are gone really quickly but others appear with many different sellers.
They disappear quickly, I put an item in my favorites one day and the next it's no longer available, so I'm sorry if any links aren't working anymore.
The other items are two stampsets from Woodware: succulents and party pigs.
I picked them from a catalog my craftstore gave me....dangerous stuff...there was no size, but the price was the same as the Woodware flowers, so I ordered them and found that there's one too many pigs to fit on a standard card size.
So I started by scoring and folding a full size sheet in half, then measured it to the envelope and stamp and it turned out almost 9 inches long! 22.5cm and 10,5cm tall.
I also had a little panic attack as I was worried it wouldn't fit in my Stampers friend tool, but it did, phew...
I used Simon Says Stamp intense black and as it was a new stamp I had to stamp it three or four times. I heat set the ink after that as there were many layers of ink,but it still smudged a bit. It tends to do that more with particular colors, like CR3 that I used and yellow, remember my teeny bikini coloring?
I left the smudges in, I can see them, but any recipient, won't look that closely, I'm sure or I'll say "hey they're pigs, it's mud ;-) "....lol
I used Spectrum Noir markers and Nuvo Shimmer pen (clear gloss) in the glasses/shades.
The sentiment is from the same set.
I didn't ground the pigs with any color as I felt they're jumping in the air with joy, exp the tilted one.
Squirrel, fox and raccoon set
Cartoony Batman
Spiderman head
Penguin set is no longer available from this seller

AAA Cards Challenge #97: masking, with video
The AAA cards Challenge #97 this fortnight is : masking.
Our sponsor this week is:Stamplorations - $15 gift certificate the winner + $5 gift certificates each to 2 randomly drawn participants + 10% coupon offer for players.
I don't have a striped stencil, if you do, please feel free to use that. Instead I made my own masking with Inkadinkado masking paper and I cut 1 cm strips.
I measured and marked 1cm stripes on the card base with a pencil.
I then put on all the masking paper bits.
If you have finger daubers, you probably don't need to mask off as much as I had to with my mini ink blending tools.
I also messed up the first card, see video if you want to know how ;-)
I used Distress inks for my ombre rainbow. The ombre starts on the left hand side and I wanted the colors to fade into the white.
I use: candied apple, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, twisted citron, mermaid lagoon, chipped sapphire and wilted violet.
After all the ink blending I peeled of the masking paper and erased the pencil lines.
For the sentiment I used a Simon Says Stamp set called You matter and used two bits to make "happy birthday to you". I used Versafine onyx black ink for this. Heat set it.
Then I pulled out some homemade enamel dots and also homemade glue dots and stuck them to the card.
