Have a dino-mite birthday

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: three of something, showcasing Dyan Reavely products. And the Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesdays, inking technique.

I only have one Dyan Reavely set, so I used Clearly Besotted's you're dino-mite instead as I liked it more..It's soo cute.
I thought the Dylusions sprays were Dyan Reavely but it doesn't actually say on the bottle. I used white linen as a splatter on top of inkblended backgrounds. For this I used a trio of
Distress inks: cracked pistachio, wilted violet and peacock feathers, then splattered the white linen on top.

To continue on the "three" theme, I used the
Simon Says Stamp tri square die ona  cardpanel and stampe dthe sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.

I stamped three dinosaurs onto a thinner watercolor paper with Simon Says Stamp intense black and then I used Distress ink spray stains in waterbrushes to color the images.
Mounted the panel with foamtape and tucked the critters inside the windows.

I love you, gnome matter what....

This cute little gnome couple is the newest free digi that come from playing in the monthly challenges at Gerda Steiner Designs...you can also purchase it, if you don't want to play.

I opened it in Photoshop and it was the prefect size for a cardfront, so I didn't resize or anything, just added the punny sentiment.

I printed it onto the Crafter's Companion Neenah Paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. Mounted the panel with foamtape and added it to the cardbase.

I think it might be my father's day card? coming up soon...my dad had a grey beard and I have kind of brown hair....

AAA Cards Challenge #112: favourite Technique

This fortnight our challenge over at AAA cards is: favourite technique and our sponsor is Sugar Pea Designs and you could win a $25 gift certificate.

For my favourite technique card I used two of mine, inkblending and marker colouring, not sure which would win in a battle, but I love both.
Although I did minimal inkblending here, as our challenge  is a CAS one. I masked off the grass, inkblended Distress ink Mowed lawn, then Peacock feathers for the lake and Mermaid lagoon for the sky.

The images are from Sugar Pea designs (Indian summer) I stamped them with Simon Say Stamp intense black and colored them with both Spectrum Noir and Illustrator
markers. The reed is from Clearly Besotted ( fluffy flamingos). My scan n cut did all the cutting and I adhered the images as a little scene with taperunner and or foamtape.. Three enamel dots around the scene to help your eye travel.

No sentiment, as the set is very much geared toward fall and Thanksgiving, but I was actually picturing children playing.

Yay, it's your birthday!

The Less is More challenge this week is the lucky dip, to CASE a past winner's card. In this case Aileen's card.

I see blue flowers and diecut sentiment.
For my card I diecut the blue and placed them in a fan shape, much like Aileen's flowers, although much smaller and I stamped the sentiment.

The Yay is from My Favorite Things Happy Wonderful Christmas Die, and I diecut it from blue glittery card. In my head it was bigger, I must have confused it with their YAY die..lol..
anyway I think it works for a CAS card.

The sentiment is from Stampendous (Fran's Tweet chirps), so I can also enter it into the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, anything goes, showcasing Stampendous products.
Also it rhymes, lucky coincidence lol.
I used Versafine Onyx black ink to stamp them and then added a few blue rhinestones as Aileen had sequins sprinkled on the card.

You're in my prayers

I didn't really like the card I made last night for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: anything goes, showcasing Stampendous products.

So I made this just now after work. It's purple so that helps lol..I love this one actually.
I don't have many  Stampendous products and this one is a bit older. The sentiment is from Encouraging words, and I stamped it with Versafine onyx black ink.
I diecut the opening using the Simon Says Stamp circle of leaves.
Then I traced the opening onto the cardbase and applied Versamagic inks (Spring pansy, Perfect hydrangea and Eggplant.
Applied glue to the panel and adhered a few enamel sprinkles.

A little birdie told me...

It's a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme is Anything goes, showcasing Stampendous products.

For my card I stamped the images from the Stampendous set called spring tweets, the sentiment from  Fran's tweet chirps with Versafine Onyx black ink onto watercolor cardstock.

I colored them with my Talens Ecoline and had the Scan n cut, cut them out.

On the cardbase I inkblended Distress inks Mermaid Lagoon and Versamagic inks Sea breeze and turquoise gem, then splattered water and sprayed Shimmer spritz on the base.

Arranged the images with foamtape onto the cardbase.

Maaike's card swaps

I've started a card swap group on Facebook, it's called Maaike's card swaps.

As there were lots of requests from members from another group. It's not a selling site, it's a swap site. so far only my cards are in the albums, but anyone can join and upload their creations. If someone would like to swap with you they can  leave a comment and then you can get intouch privately via messenger and exchange your details.
If you would like to join and send card only within your country because of postage, that's is OK but please add it to the photo comment, so please know.

I hope I've created the most common albums, if not you can add topical albums.
