The theme is: inspired by nature.
For my card I chose to do a chlorophyll print, meaning using leaves (or flowers) and your diecutting machine to press out the "juices".
Now when I filmed this, lots of plants were still dormant and not a lot of juice is flowing, I've tried fern, my favorite for this as it's not too wet and quite sturdy. But on this occasion it didn't really want to play. On my way home from my vegetable patch I also came across this grass like plant, I think it's cowsparsley but I'm not sure.
The technique is really simple you put your leave(s) on a cardfront or panel, in between kitchen paper, and then pass it through your machine as if you were diecutting.
The kitchen paper will soak up a lot, but not all juices in this case the "weed" I used was really juicy.
In the video you can see a few try outs as I had quite a few happy accidents as Bob Ross would say ;-).
As I got a lot of bleeding I decided to tuck the print behind a diecut opening, so to preserve as much white space as possible.
I used the Everyday Sentiments from Happy Little Stampers, with Versafine onyx black ink.
Mounted the panel with foamtape and adhered a few semi precious "rocks". I found this in the nail art section and I thought it would go perfectly with our theme.
Happy Mother's day if you're one, my cats brought me a toy mouse once, that melted my heart :-D
