Christmas wishes- Kerst wensen

For my card  I used the new  twig die en cut it from green cardstock.
I then diecut a circle from a cardpanel, offset to the right.
Traced the opening onto the cardbase and applied Distress inks Evergreen bough and Tumbled glass inks. Then splattered the scene and twig with white Ecoline ink (100)

I stamped the sentiment from Marianne Design/ Karin Joan with Versafine Onyx black ink.
Mounted the panel with foamtape. Adhered the twig with glue and mounted the panel on top.

Added the glittery enamel dots, also new from Marianne Design PL4515/

Versafine Onyx black ink
Ecoline white (100)
Distress inks: Evergreen bough and Tumbled glass

Shake it up- Designer creative challenge

For my shaker card I started with the circle, diecutting it from a panel, I thought it might look like the squirrel is in her  tree and the circle is the entrance to her nest...
I then stamped the sentiment from Say it big with Versafine onyx black ink. Traced the opening onto the cardbase and swiped Distress oxide Tumbled glass on the cardbase. One of my favorite new colors.
Then I lined the back of the panel with double sided tape and added the acetate and a layer of foamtape to  make my shaker pouch.
I cut up another bit of acetate and adhered my tree to it.
I colored my images with alcohol markers. I chose a handful of sequins in the colors of the leaves, making it look the leaves are falling when you shake the card. In hindsight
I prob should have colored the white on the tree the same or alike blue color as the Oxide background...too late now though.
As the colors are very autumnal I chose “Thank you” as my sentiment, as Thanksgiving is coming up fast. Adherd the second layer of acetate with the tree to close the shaker pouch. Then added more double sided tape to adhere the whole thing to the cardbase.
Added the squirrel with even more double sided tape.
I only used one layer of foamtape, so it does shake but not freely, I did this on purpose because otherwise the card gets very thick and heavy, but the choice is up to you, of course.

My top tip for shaker cards is to use a bit of card or acetate to close your shakerpouch, before you try to flip the whole things with loose sequins, or beads.

I hope your birthday is a-moose-ing

I like punny sentiments, and usually corny ones, they make me smile, a play on words is just funny, so a-moosing, instead of amazing or amusing, because of the moose...hehe..see I need to laugh...

For my card I used the CDD Fall border dies for the treeline.
To make it fall colored I inkblended Distress inks in various Autumnal colors in a random pattern. Then diecut it. I also diecut the grass from Outdoor landscapes 2 but from green card.
The digi  Tribal  moose I printed on alcohol marker paper and colored him with alcohol markers, then cut him out.

For the sky I applied Distress oxide Mermaid Lagoon onto the cardbase.

The sentiment I made in Photoshop and printed it on the cardpanel,  then I cut the cardpanel into three  strips to make the opening.

Mounted the the grass to the lower panel with liquid glue, then attached the trees with liquid glue to the cardbase, trimmed it to size. Mounted the lover and upper strips with foamtape and adhered them to the cardbase, then mounted the moose with foamtape in the middle and liquid glue where he meets the panels.

I inkblended Distress oxides on the cardbase:Peacock feathers and cracked pistachio, one of my favorite combos; I jsut love how they blend.
The birchtrees are from the  Outdoor landscape 2 dieset from CDD and.

(Christmas) tealight box- Kerst waxine doosje

Today I'm showing you how to make this tealight giftbox (again). It's been 2.5 years since I shared it first.
And well I keep making them for every occasion, not just Christmas, but think of wedding favors, teachers gift, party favor , baby shower, just change the apper and colors of scented tealights. I chose Mulled wine today, it's red for Christmas and so is the smell.

For the box you need a piece of cardstock measuring : 5"7/8 x 4"7/8.
On the long side, score at: 5/8 from each edge.
On the short side, score at: 5/8, 2"1/8, 2"3/4 and 4"1/4.
Then cut/notch and glue as indicated on the pattern. Add a thumbnotch if you like.I used a circle punch for this.

To decorate the box this time I used a black glittery tag, a red card stag and the word Christmas out of silver glitter card.

For this I used these materials:
Marianne Design/Karin Joan Giftwrapping Col1442
Marianne Design/Karin Joan Christmas song KJ1719
Marianne Design Pretty paper block PK9149

The glitter card is from Crafter's Companion, and is nice and sturdy.

Marianne Design/Karin Joan Giftwrapping Col1442
Marianne Design/Karin Joan Christmas song KJ1719
Marianne Design Pretty paper block PK9149

Het glitter karton is van Crafter's Companion, en is een mooie dikke kwaliteit.

Ik heb er een video van in het Engels

Craftin Desert Divas Tribal Lion

For my card I made a sunset scene.
I used the Tribal Lion, printed him out on alcohol marker paper, colored him with alcohol markers, then cut him out with my plotter. Same with the mountains from Tribal outdoor set.
I stamped the sentiment  from Animal Antics with Versafine onyx black ink on a cardpanel, then cut a strip from it for my scene. I measured the height of my mountains so I could fit them in.
For the sunset I inkblended Distress oxides on the cardbase. Mounted the strips with foamtape and adhered the mountains with liquid glue, the lion has foamtape under his head and tail, liquid glue on the part that sits flush with the white strip.

Remember that if you become a digi club member you can choose any digi image at 50% off, you pay $7 and shop for $14 dollars and you get a free image every month in the email with the discount code..I mean that's just  a super deal, and I have placed many digis on my wishlist :-D

Make a wish

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, is: sprinkles and splatters.

And boy did I splatter hehe, on the background I first inkblended Versamagic colors, didn't like them, too cold/grey so I went over them with some Oxides, in a more vibrant range, but they mixed of course. so : Versamagics: Apsen Mist, Agean blue and Midnight sky and Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled glass Oxides.
Then I splattered it with water, Dyslusion White linen, Distress Spray Stain Brushed pewter and Mermaid lagoon, heat setting in between.

For the images I used C.C Designs Pearl set and I stamped them with Simon Says Stamp Intense black ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir and Illustrator markers.

The sentiment is from C.C. Design also, the Star set and I stamped it with Versafine onyx black ink on a kraft cardstock panel. I then cut out the middle of the panel to fit  my underwater scene, I thought the Kraft would look like sand, maybe...

Adhered the Kraft with foamtape and the inkblended panel with liquid glue, then adhered everything to the cardbase.

The little fish, I know, is upside down, but I liked it more facing each other, than it swimming away from the mermaid.

For more information and or  to play along the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, see this.
