Craftin Desert Divas: Happily handmade a Halloween treatbag

This is week tow of release weeks from Craftin Desert Divas (CDD)

For my project I made a little treatbag.
CDD sells a treat bag die, but I don't have it, so I used my scoringboard.
And it's really simple.
You need a piece of card 6x12inches.
You score on the short side at 2" only.

then you score on the long side at 2", 5" 7"and 10" from top to bottom
You partially score at 1,6 and 11inches to make the fold line.

cut and notch flaps and stick it together. I like to use hot glue, but score tape or liguid glue, a strong one like the Nuvo deluxe glue will also work, you just have to hold it till the glue grips.

This is totally optional and you don't need to do this to make a cute little treatbag, but since I have the Harvest border dies from CDD, I diecut them from the top. Cut loose the bits on the ends and where they overlap I cut one row of pumpkins. Be careful as they're very delicate.

Then I fold the  box shut and glue all the sides and bottom flaps shut.
For the handle I used orange ribbon as I thought purple and orange are nice and Halloween like.

For the image I sued the new digi from CDD: Frankenstein cake. I have colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Adhered it with the Nuvo glue to the bag.
For the sentiment on the back I just printed it onto 80lbs card from Word.

The haunted house is diecut from black card. It's also from the Harvest border dies, I cut it to fit as it's much longer.

Fille dit with chocolates. Sadly no candy corn as it's near impossible  to get in the Netherlands, or crazy expensive...I went for wrapped chocolates.

Craftin Desert Divas Sneak peek week: Frankenstein cake 18-312

Today I'm sharing another cake card.
This time it's the Craftin Desert Divas (CDD) Frankenstein cake digi.
I printed it onto marker friendly paper and colored it with my alcohol markers, then cut it out.

I let the Scan N Cut make a rounded triangle window in black cardstock, as if it's candy corn.
Then I divided the area into 3 strips and inblended Distress oxides inks on the cardbase.

I mounted the black panel with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.
I used both foamtape and Nuvo glue for the Frankenstein cake, so it  would be supported where the window is.

I have no sentiment, as I don't know how to add it to black except with a strip of white card and I didn't want to ruin the spooky look. Also no Halloween stamps so I could white emboss it onto the panel, that would be my suggestion.

I will just write Happy Birthday on the inside ;-)

Craftin Desert Divas Sneak peek week: Googly eyes cake 18-311

It's Sneak Peek week over at Craftin Desert Divas (CDD) and I have the Googly eyes cake to show you and it's so much fun.

Not sure cute comes in with Halloween things, but it's also cute ;-) .
I printed my digi on marker friendly paper and colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out.
Glued on actuall googly eyes with the Nuvo Deluxe glue

I then cut a strip of white cardstock and inkblended Oxides on it:
Carved Pumpkin,
Picked Raspberry,
Seedless preserves
and Dusty Concord
with a mini inkblending tool

I ripped strips of black card and glued them to the back of the inkblended panel and mounted it with foamtape to the cardbase.

The sentiment I made in Word and printed it.
I thought the play on "cookie" into kooky was funny and apt for the occasion although it's a cake...but hey...

Christmas wishes

For today's card I started by inking up a circle with the use of a stencil I made by diecutting a circle from some acetate.
I've used Distress oxide Tumbled glass and Versamagic Spring Pansy.
Then I stamped the little stars from the Karin Joan set with Versamark and heat embossed Wow! golden  flame embossing powder.

I diecut the geometric looking stag from metallic gold cardstock and adhered it on top with liquid glue.

The sentiment I stamped iwth Versafine Onyx black ink.

Materials used/ Gebruikte materialen:

Craftin Desert Divas Happily Handmade

Today I am sharing how to make a jumbo tealight box.
Mine are from Ikea, but I think they're all the same size.
For mine you need a piece of card  4"1/8 x 7"1/4

you score on the long side at:
 7/8", 3"1/4, 4"1/8 and 6"3/8.
on the short side at:
7/8 of one inch and 3"1/4

Burnish the score lines and cut and notch as indicated in the pattern, then glue together.
I use a hot glue gun, but a really strong  tape or glue will also work.

Make a thumb notch with a circle punch, not required, but I think it looks more professional.

To decorate my little box I used a Craftin Desert Divas digi stamp that I printed on marker friendly paper and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers, then cut it out.
I mounted tow layers of foamtape with space in between so I can feed the ribbon through this canal.

For the sentiment I stamped the Just because from Say it Big with Versafine Onyx black ink on a small tag.

AAA Cards Challenge #124: Imagine

This fortnight we're working with the theme: imagine.
Our sponsor is Winnie and Walter.

For my card I used the Winnie and Walter stampset  called Big Hugs and I stamped the cute puppy and kitten with My Favorite Things black licorice ink onto the Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and let the Scan & Cut do the cutting out.
Colored the image with Spectrum Noir and Spectrum Illustrator markers. Nuvo Shimmer pen on their noses, bit small to see on the photo, but I thought pets need wet noses ;-).
The sentiment is from C.C. Design (puppy power) and I stamped it  with  Versafine onyx black ink, heat set it to be sure.

I used a gold like shimmery cardstock for my background and masked off a strip at the bottom, splattered Distress inks in Antiqued bronze and Dylusions White linen spray stain. Then Stamped the paws from the Puppy power set with Versamark and heat embossed them with Wow! metallic copper embossing powder.

Mounted the pets with foamtape. Adhered the panel with taperunner to the cardbase and mounted the pets on top. At first I wanted them to sit in the strip, but I didn't want to cover it now, so they sit on top, which helps to ground them I suppose.

For the "imagine" bit I thought about the anticipation of a child getting their first pet, I was so excited and my pets never let me down.
