AAA Cards Challenge #132: up to 1/3 + masking, with video

This fortnight our sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays and our theme is use up to one third and as an added option, use masking.

I used masking to  protect 2/3 of my card whilst I was inkblending Distresss Oxides (Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid lagoon and Tumbled glass). I  made the area smaller and 1/3, just so I could stamp my sentiment in the same 1/3 area.

For the sentiment I've used CAS-ual Fridays set called Heartfelt sayings, and I just love the little hearts dotted around the sentiment.

For the Strip I've used Creative expressions stamp  Secret Woodland and I stamped it with Versafine Onyx black ink, just as the Sentiment. Heat set it to be sure, then splattered some Midas Touch out of a Nuvo Shimmer pen onto the scene.Added three golden rhinestones, I wish I had heart shaped golden ones.

For the second card and video I've used Oxide Dusty Concord and Versamagic SPring pansy and Eggplant, and the stamp is Magical Meadow also Creative Expressions and I kept the Sentiment the same from CAS-ual Fridays.
For a chance to win the $25 giftcard to CAS-ual Fridays please play along with our challenge.

Welcome Baby, Lee Holland art, video

Today I'm using one of the digis I recently bought on Etsy from Lee Holland art.
They are the cutest images, really and affordable too. I paid with Paypal and you get the downloads immediately. That's what I like about digi stamps, No postage, no customs, no waiting for them to drop on your doormat, and best of all you can resize them to your needs.
 Find his shop here.

I printed mine on the Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I went with a green teal bunny, as if he's a stuffed one. But with the hearts it could well be a Valentine card.
The sentiment I've added whilst editing the digi.

Hope you like them as much as I do, can't resist cute, you know that and if there's a cat on it...I'm such a sucker...

Recycled CAS Cards

Hello, the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: recycle something.
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: CAS, showcasing Hero Arts Products.

I recycled one of the shop bought Christmas cards I got last year (not last Christmas, they're still on display :-D).

Anyway I would never touch those beautiful handmade ones and they have they're own keep safe container.

For the first  card I had an option of 4, almost went with the gold bird, but that was actually too pretty .

So I chose this windowed one, and cut our a circle, trying to include the sentiment, but it didn't fit completely so I just chopped off the edge and placed the circle off centre for more interest.

But first I used the Simon Says Stamp retro Deer die to cut out a silhouette.
For the Hero Arts bit I stamped the Classic Christmas Borders with Memento Sky Blue ink in the bottom, this instead of Merry Christmas and there's a sentiment already, albeit a Dutch one.

For the second card I used the Retro Deer I now have left over. I glued him onto a stitched circle  I diecut from Craft card.
Mounted the circle with foam tape.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts' Color Layered Deer. I found out I'm not very good at lining those up ;-). I've used Distress Oxides Iced Spruce to stamp the sentiment onto a grey/green card base. Added a red rhinestone for a pop of color and I know Rudolph is not a deer, but hey .artistic freedom? haha.

something new

I've been playing with A new kind of Watercolor paper, the Spectrum Noir card 300grams.
First time using it, it reminds me a lot  of the Tim Holtz wc card.
I've used Distress inks and free downloads from Karin Joan Newsletter subbies.
I found the paper is very absorbent, and probably not best if you try to move the Distress inks around after stamping them with a home made stamp from  craft foam.

I love that it's very white and comes in A4 sheets, this is half a sheet.
I will have to play some more with it, but for now it's OK.
I've used Distress inks Weathered wood, Bundled Sage and Iced Spruce on the leaves and Frayed Burlap for the branch.

Beer crisper..

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: use something new, showcasing Simon Says Stamp products.
The Male Room Challenge is: Anything goes, with the twist of Beverages.

For my something new I've used a new  12x12"inch cardstock with beverages, I felt kinda bad cutting into it for my background, as I never use patterned paper either, also something new haha, just for giftbaxes or treatbags and such.

I've used the Simon Says Stamp Adult beverages set, combined with the Riley and Company set RWD551, I just think it's hilarious, esp for a manly card.

I've stamped both with Versafine Clair ink onto watercolor paper,  and colored it with fluid watercolors and then mounted it with foamtape.

Adhered the patterned paper with tape runner to the cardbase and mounted the colored panel on top, still CAS , well kinda...lol
