AAA Cards Challenge #143: One Corner + flowers. With Video
This fortnight our Sponsor is Uniko and my card is heavily inspired by a card Beverley (the Uniko owner) made last year for Remembrance Day.
It is a bit early perhaps, but I thought these stamps and our challenge and the optional twist just called for this card. I didn't look up her card, I made it a bit as I remember it and also to fit our challenge.
The sentiment I've printed onto the cardbase, I've used Photoshop for this, but Word or alike will also work of course.
Then I used the biggest solid flower from the Uniko Style set and stamped it with Memento Love Letter red ink.
Heatsetted it to be sure and then used Black Soot Oxide ink for the centre. I Versafine inks or
a black heat embossed dot would also work.
thought it would be nice and opaque, instead of the Memento black, so it would layer better, but of course
Then I watered down a little of the Memento red ink and covered the cardbase to expose only the right lower corner and splattered a bit of a poppy field. Luckily the red turned a little pink, due to being watered down I suppose. Red splatter is very dangerous, it can looks like a crime scene. I didn't add anything else, black splatter or gold would also be cool, but as a CAS Challenge, we like our uncompromised empty space :-D
It literally took only 10 minutes to make this card, so perfect for mass production, you can use the flower in different colours and add a different sentiment to fit any occasion.

Spots
Spots is the new One Layer challenge over at Less is More this fortnight.
I made a card with lots of spots last time,so now I went for a different kind of spots, those on a Leopard. It reminds me of that phrase "a leopard never loses it's spots".
I used a digi from Stamp on it and printed it first, then stamped the sentiment from Uniko (All occasion sentiments #6) with Versafine Clair nocturne ink.
At first I thought of colouring the"cat" but I kinda like it B&W, more masculine and also a different kind of beautiful ;-), which ties in with the sentiment.so super easy and super quick card this time, even though it's 1am ;-), I started really late after work. Hope you like it, I do

Polar Express?
Well I think the Polar Express from the animated movie was blue, but I chose Christmas red as the sky is also blue and I wanted it to stand out.
I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge :vacation/travel and Iwas so happy to see at least one Christmas/winter card from the DT. I wasn't sure if I would fit the theme, but I guess I do ;-) I'm Showcasing Lawn Fawn with the stampset Param pa pum pum and the slide on over dieset.
I'm also entering it into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: transport it, and I thought my little train would be perfect.
I stamped my images with My Favorite
Things Extreme black ink and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Triblends.
For the background I've inkblended Distress oxides: tumbled glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire.
I then splattered it with water, Distress spray stain Brushed Pewter and White linen Dylusions spray ink.
I heat set it to dry it,then diecut out the slider portion.
My city scape is from Craftin Desert Divas and the sentiment is from the same Lawn Fawn set and I heat embossed it with Wow metallic silver regular embossing powder.
I adhered my train onto a strip of acetate so I can move it as one.
Mounted the panel and city with foamtape and put it all together.

Bon Voyage
The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is:transport it.
I chose to use this high speed train as my mode of transportation. It's a dieset from Amy Design,a Dutch Company, but there are mane similar sets across the industry, mainly from SugarPea Designs, but I do not have them.
For the sentiment I had a bit of trouble choosing a fitting one. I settled on this Bon Voyage (happy travels) from Happy Little Stampers and I stamped it with Versafine Clair ink.
The background I made with Versamagic inks: Aspen Mists,Oasis Green and Hint of Pesto. Distress Oxides would also have the same effect if you have the right colors.
