AAA Colourful Challenge #23: Dec-Jan

 Hello this month I see ice or snow and I went for a Snowflake like stencil with Distress inks.

I bought this set of stencils from Action and there isn't a brand on it, only 5pcs set. also it's probably no longer available as you need to get them when you see them, Action is funny that way.

I've used, Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon and a bit of Uncharted Mariner I think that was left on my brush.

I then Stamped the sentiment, that's probably also no longer available, it's from Simon Says Stamp and I had it for years (SSS101644 Merry Christmas)

I splattered some silver ink on the whole card for some icey shine.

AAA Cards Challenge #305: Anything CAS goes with the option of White only

 Hello, this is our last challenge for 2025, I hope you have a great Christmas and will come to play along again in 2026.

We have an Anything CAS goes with the optional twist to make it white only, or white on white.

Fun for a snow like Christmas card as it's the season. We had a similar challenge before and I've included the card I made for that challenge in the game badge.

Though it's optional I would very much like to see your all white cards.

I made a shakercard with the My Favorite Things' Christmas Tree Window, it's a good few years old, not sure it's still available.

I diecut the tree from a white cardpanel, and closed the opening with acetate, then built up the shaker portion with foamstrips.

I recently got the This calls for confetti Anti Static powder wand and I used it on the Crafters Companion mixed sequin pack, it's in a plastic bag and it was so clingy, but with the wand, that looks like a lip gloss applicator, it all calmed down amazingly. Whimsy Stamps sells them ans you should try it, I'm amazed. The sequins are called Iridescent Diamond and they're clear, but with a pinkish hue that you can only see from certain angles. I could have used others, but it's still white and they show up  little more than white on white  or clear of white.

AAA Birthday Card Challenges #80: Box Card

 

Hello this month our challenge is a box card.

Mine is more a diarama, but the box card die I had was a bit teeny tiny, I've included my first attempt. I did recycle the elements I made for that small one.

I made the box by cutting a piece of cardstock in half at 10.5cm (that's the metric A4), then scored both pieces at 28cm and 14 and 12. I did it backwards to even out the centimeters, but you can do any size you want..

I burnished the scorelines and diecut the window from one piece, then glues them together with tape runner.

The opening I made with the Whimsy Stamps Wonky nested frames.

I used a little bit of grass on the tiny box, but I can't remember which brand that was, so I perused my stash and found this older set from Crafting Desert Divas and I used the grass and fence from the  Outdoor Landscapes 2 set. Sadly Crafting Desert Divas is no longer in business, but other brands will have similar dies. There's a little piece of fence included with the  Ewe dies from Impronte D'Autore, but it's just a small piece, you can see it on the second photo.

I  entertained the idea of a white picket fence, but I thought with the white sheep it's not very smart, so I went for a painted fence.

I cut strips of 16cm wide and scored them at 1cm from each end and burnished them, adhered double sided tape on the small ends and adhered the grass, then placed them inside the box, it's bit fiddly but it can be done.

The fence I adhered to the front panel with liquid glue.

The elements were mounted with clear pieces of acetate and I kept them on, just te stuck them.

For the tree I've also used Impronte D'Autore and added a little shading for a 3d effect.

Clouds also from the Alberelli set and the flowers are from Marianne Design LR0851.

AAA cards Challenges #304: Sketch

 

Hello, this fortnight we have a sketch and well I just found the perfect stamp for it in my stash, it's an oldie from Craft Sensations a set I bought mostly for the Stag in it, but the little bauble is just super.

I even stamped them in the same colors, kind of, I've used Memento inks ( Grape Jelly, Paris Dusk and Cottage Ivy).

the sentiment is something I've printed with my laser printer, then foiled with toner foils. I think the font is called Gatsby.

Diecut it with the Whimsy Stamps Simple Sentiment Strips and mounted it with foamtape.

I also made a second card with three adorable mice from Impronte D'Autore (Tutti Nelle Calze 1218UMS) I  stamped it with Extreme Black ink and colored the image with alcohol markers. the sentiment is also a gold foiled printed sentiment, cut out with the Whimsy stamps Simple Sentiment Strips and inset in a gold border.

I sure look forward to your makes and remember, you don't have to use the same shape and or colors I've used in the sketch, you can rotate the sketch if you want, or flip it, as long as we can see the sketch in your card.

AAA Colourful Challenge #22: Nov-Dec

 Hello, this month I made a Christmas card, not with baubles as the game badge might inspire, but a white Polar Bear with red Scarf and gold sentiment.

the Polar Bear is from Impronte D'Autore (Baby Polar Bear)

The gold sentiment is metallic cardstock with double sided adhesive on the back, no way I can put glue on that  skinny font. Gummiapan dies D201177 Merry Christmas

Very simple, but I like it.

AAA Cards Challenge #303: 1+1

 

Hello , this fortnight We have the 1+1 again. I picked Birthday (of course) with the Balloons, just one in my case.

I've used the Trinity Stamps Birthday Shark, stamped it with Extreme black ink from My Favorite Things and colored it with alcohol markers, then cut it out and mounted it with foam tape.

For the cardbase I stamped the sentiment first, it's from the same set and I used Versafine ink, then applied Distress inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon) and splattered with water. for that fun bubbles effect.

Then I adhered the shark on top, I made sure it peeked out here and there, as I like that look, but it would fit inside the blue too.

I thought the shark would look cool all glistening and slathered it in Nuvo Shimmer pen, a bit  more than I wanted, but I put the pen upright in my pen holder and all the ink went down to the nib and ok it's still cute  hehe, pilled the paper a bit though when I tried to wipe some off I made the sea shimmery too ;-)

AAA Birthday Card Challenge #79: Music

 

Hello, this month our theme is music.

For my card I used the guitar from Marianne Design, it's discontinued but you can find it here and there, and I"m so happy I was able to get one, of course there's others, but I loved this one the most as it's a bassguitar (LR0657) and I diecut it from colored cardstock and silver metallic cardstock.

I made the background with the Woodware Sheet Music stamp, not sure if it's still around, I stamped it with Versafine Morning Mist and after inking the stamps I dabbed some ink off here and there, to give you that worn look.

Stuck the guitar on top and smothered  the red case with -Glossy Accents so it looks like that lacquered wood guitars have and I love it. I almost did the chords with silver but decided it would be too bright.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips) and I stamped it with Versafine Crimson red to echo the guitar.

AAA card Challenge #302: Follow the leader (Karen)

 Hello, this fortnight we follow Karen's lead.

Her card features a cute little stamped image with inkblending behind it.

As it's October I wanted to use this image from Impronte D'Autore (Halloween night) , I've colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out. Put some Nuvo Shimmer pen on the Moon.

For my inkblending I wanted to use a Dutch Doo Ba Doo stencil of a galaxy, but it looks weird on white. as the night sky is black. I then picked up some black cardstock and splattered it with Metallic watercolor instead of inkblending a patch. I stamped the sentiment on the inside as I didn't want to take up more white space with it. It's from the same set and says Halloween night, there's a seperate "cute" and "sweet" and I almost went for Sweet Halloween night, but didn't want to mess up lining it up.

Mounted the image with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

AAA Colourful Challenge #21: Oct-Nov

 Hello this month I saw blue, red, white and black (and green) in the sketch and I thought those would be perfect  colours for my Spellbinder penguins,

So I diecut the Spellbinders (Dancing penguin) and stuck it together.

for the background scene I applied Distress ink (Tumbled Glass) through a Studio Light Stencil (Winter Hills)

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things  (Bitty Holiday Whishes) and I stamped it with Versafine ink.

AAA Card Challenge #301: Anything CAS goes with the optional twist of all greys

 

Hello, this fortnight we have an Anything CAS goes challenge with an optional twist of all greys (as in monochrome)

For my card I've used the Whimsy Stamps Winter Wonderland Stencil and one if it's treelines, it's always the same one, just shifted a little.

I masked off the bottom of my cardbase and I've used Distress inks: Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot, I know that's black, but with a light application it looks grey.

The sentiment is diecut from Versafine Clair (morning Mist) colored card. The die is from Crealies.

AAA Birthday Card Challenge #78: Ombre

 

Hello, it's October, so I thought I should mae a Halloween like Birthday Card, incorporating the Ombre into the night sky.

For my cardbase I masked off an area and also a circle for the Moon and applied a bunch of Distress inks.

For the Moon Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed.

For the Sky: Villainous Poison, Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac, then Shaded lilac all over the other colors to even it out.

Splattered with water and Silver watercolor paint for the stars.

The Eek! is from Whimsy ( Eek word and shadow dieset.

The sentiments, How Old? is from Gerda Steiner Moody Unicorns

The You belong in a museum is from Kindred Stamps.

the Mummy Gnome is a image from Dutch Doo Ba Doo  Diecuts  and I mounted it with foamtape and adhered it onto the card. 

I thought as he looks like a mummy it went well with the sentiments and turned what could have been a Halloween card into aBirthday card, but still fun for October.

AAA Cards Challenge #300: Sketch

 Hello, this fortnight we have a sketch for you, as it's that time of the year, it features a black cat on a banner, and although it could be any shape, I went Halloween :-D

For my card I masked off an area on the cardbase and applied Distress inks ( Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Villainous Poison) Splattered with gold paint.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Spirited Sentiments) and I stamped it with Versafine ink.

The image is a precut ephemera like thing from Dutch Doo Ba Doo (Dutch Diecuts Hallo herfst), it's also availave as a rubber stamp but my store was out, I ordered it though, you know why.

I mounted the image with foamtape.

AAA Colourful Challenge #20: sept-Oct

 Hello, this month, I am in the mood for Halloween and the game badge might just be inspired by the Halloween colors of old. 

I see, green, orange, purple , gold and black and for my card I used Distress inks (Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry). 

I made other cards with green and I just couldn't get a good blend it all went muddy, no matter how careful I was, so I omitted the Twisted citron in favour of Fossilized amber or that creme colour in the colour  bar. The blend looks better in person than on the photo.

I printed the images I found on Png Wing, it's 2 different files, I combined them in Photoshop where I also added the sentiment as I can't find my one Halloween set...

Added white gel pen to the Bat eyes for an extra spooky look and feel.

AAA Cards Challenge #299: Color Challenge

Hello, this fortnight we have a color challenge for you again, and  I saw a golden brown branch and some kind of bird in the purples. I didn't use the blue-grey

I've used a dieset from Decotime and cut all the elements from colored cardstock with double sided adhesive on the back. Cut 2 birds, then cut one wing off and stuck it on top the other/

AAA Birthday Card Challenge #77: Snarky

 Hello this month we're all about the Snarky sentiments/cards.

I do like a punny sentiment and sarcasm isn't wasted on me.

For my card I used one of theUnicorns from the  Gerda Steiner stampset Moody Unicorns. I stamped it with My Favorite Things Extreme Black ink and colored it with alcohol markers, the cut it out.

The sentiments are from the same set and I stamped them with Versafine black ink.

On the cardbase I masked off a circle and applied Distress inks: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Candied apple, then splattered with gold watercolor paint; let it dry and adhered my unicorn to the cardbase with foamtape.

AAA Card Challenge #298: Follow the Leader

 
Hello, this fortnight we follow Ceal's lead and her card is very Autmnal like.

For my card I've used the Crafter's Companion die and stamp set (Leaves are falling) and I diecut them all from white cardstock, then colored them with Distress inks; then adhered them to my cardbase. Ceal has also inkblended an area on her cardbase, but I kinda forgot when I was making the card and frankly I think this is enough as I like how the colors pop. I borrows a few Fall items and one was a hedgehog die, I did cut it but at the last moment I swapped it for the mushroom.

Sentiment is from the same set and I stamped it with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink.

AAA Card Challenge #297: Anything Cars Goes (all greens)

 

Hello, this fortnight we have an anything goes challenge, with the optional twist of using only green. 

I only used black for the eye lashes ( I think) on my Marianne Design Chameleon (Col1542)

I started by prepping some Clair Fontaine Aquapad paper with Talens Ecoline, let it dry.

The attached double sided adhesive on the back (Marianne Design Lr0014) and diecut all the elements.

I had enough background left, I used a strip on the cardbase as if the chameleon is in a forest and as the colors match, I think it looks like he's absorbed his surroundings. The branch is a solid dark green cardstock)

With the double sided adhesive, glue-ing this critter together is a breeze, no mess.

The sentiment is from Leane Creatief (NL Teksten), and I also diecut it from the watercolored card.

I look forward to what you make, of course green is very suitable for forest or greenery like ferns, but a green car is also valid, or green house p.e. I'm sure you can come up with more ideas.
