AAA Cards Challenge #162: Made in Minutes + Use a Stencil, with video and 2 cards in under 30 minutes, with video

This fortnight the AAA Cards Challenge is : made in minutes and the option to use a stencil.

Our Sponsor is Funky Fossil Designs and you could win a GBP15 store credit.

I made two cards in about 25 minutes. I sped up the video 200% and it's now under 13 minutes :-D.

At AAA  HQ we thought a time restriction will make you more CAS as you can't keep adding stuff. The gathering of your supplies is not included, neither is the time you might spend on a design, I usually do this in my head, could take a day or more, but then I know what I want and it's easy to put to
paper. The watering can turned out bigger than the one in my head though lol.
If you're worried about leaving enough white space, consider using smaller images, but if that's not possible consider a bigger cardbase. I could have done that on video, but I didn't think of that just there and then, so off camera I've used up the  other watering can on a bigger cardbase.

That really took only 3 minutes to make as I already had the image, the stencils and such pulled out, just assembly essentially

For the embossing I've used Wow Fairy Tales, Atlantic Sea spray and Verdigris embossing powders.
The unicorn and watering can are from Action, a dollar or pound store like shop, but
you might have something similar or better in your stash.

The sentiments  and snail are stamped in Versafine Onyx black ink and I've used the Funky Fossil Designs To Plant a Garden set and the Simon Says Stamp  Secret Garden set for the unicorn card.

For the stencil part I've used the Marianne Designs PS8024 for the clouds and Tumbled Glass Distress oxides. for the garden background a generic brand stencil and Cracked Pistachio and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides.

Mounted both images with foamtape and adhered them to the card.

Les Toits de Paris

The Less is More Challenge this fortnight is: One Layer and NO sentiment.

For my card I stamped the Katzelkraft Les Toits de Paris (Parisian Rooftops) with Gina K Amalgam ink on  watercolor card and colored the image with Talens Ecoline. I thought they rooftops could be weathered copper,

Friends

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Anything goes, showcasing Gina K designs.

I only have the Gina K Amalgam ink and the scrubby was a gift with it in Diecember, so used those to stamp my image and sentiment from Clearly Besotted Best Friends.
I stamped on watercolor paper and colored the image with Talens Ecoline a fluid watercolors.

Stuck the panel on a cardbase.

Save the Crafty Youtuber- Magnetic slider card

Hello and welcome to a new Save the Crafty Youtuber 2020.
I made a magnetic slider card.
I will list all the materials only, it's bette rif you watch the video for explanation.

I didn't get the stamp I wanted to use in time, or it would have had a Pariasian rooftop with the Eiffel tower and one stamped cat. then  a diecut cat that will be beamed up by the UFO.

Anyway I started with  watercolor paper and Distress refills for my background:
Faded Jeans,
Dusty Concord,
Broken China,
Tumbled Glass,
Black Soot.
Dried the layers in between with my WOW heattool.

My ufo is from Whimsy Stamps/CC Designs and I stamped it with Gina K. Amalgam ink.
Colored it with Spectrum Noir triblend markers: dull green, Hydrangea and Ice grey

The cats are from Impression Obsessions : cat set.
The wall is a stencil from Craft Emotions: 185070/4431 and I appliead Black soot Distres sinks on a slate grey cardstock.
For my pull tab I've used the My Favorite Things Launch Party Dienamics.

Get well dragon

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: whatever the weather, showcasing Lawn Fawn.

I didn't use any Lawn Fawn things, but a Whimsy Stamps image from Get well Dragons and  I stamped it on Watercolor paper with Gina K Amalgam ink and colored it with fluid watercolors.
Cut is out.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted with Versafine Clair ink. the background is Distress Oxides : Tumbled Glass and Peacock feathers and water splatters. I thought to apply a stencil, but it got too busy in my opinion.

I thought feeling under the weather fits the
theme, so a get well card.

My Grandfather

The new Male Room Challenge is : at my gransfather's house.
One set of my grandparents live in Germany and one in The Netherlands, then when we moved to Italy it was hard to get round to them.

We left when I was 7 or 8 and my Dutch Grandpa died before that, I don't remember much, except I think he was a fisherman as my grandma was always peeling shrimps. I also remember trying to get a fish off the hook and being put off fishing for life! My granddad had lots of fishing things in the shed, so I went down that route.

I printed this cute digi from Lili of the Valley ( now 50% off)  with my laser printer so I could use Ecoline watercolors.

I added the sentiment  in Photoshop when I was resizing and arranging the digi.

I've put some Nuvo Shimmer pen on the water and I thought the yellow wader things is what fisherman wear, oil coats...
In any case it's still manly ;-)

Stencil fun

The new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: Stencil fun.

For my card I masked off a strip on the cardbase and applied Distress inks with finger daubers. Then layered the Simon Says Stamp Circle dots on top and applied Lawn Fawn Yeti ink through it for a Bokeh effect. I've moved the stencil a few times, to get the coverage I wanted.

The image and sentiment are from My Favorite Things' Flower Fairies and I colored them with Spectrum Triblend markers. Mounted the fairy with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

I thought the Bokeh effect is like a  blur of a flower meadow where the Fairy might live. A
few glittery dew drops to add to the effect.

AAA Cards Challenge #161, Along the edge + cats and dogs, with video

This fortnight the AAA Cards Challenge is: Along the edge + Dogs and cats.
The dog theme was chosen by Ceal and Asa chose cats.

I also chose cats;-) the Whimsy stamps set called Adopt, don't shop cats, There's also a dog version but it  was sold out when I ordered.

Our sponsor is CraftyScrappers and I could have used their digi stamp of cats again, but I felt  that was too soon.

I've stamped my image and sentiment with Versafine Clair ink and coloured the images with Polychromos pencils, the base is Waterart panel that I later adhere to the cardbase with tape runner.

For my second card (no video) I've used digis from our sponsor Craftyscrappers: Lucky Birthday Wishes, printed one of the images three times, as if they're  resting on the edge of the card, the sentiment is in the set also, colored it with SPectrum Noir markers.

Colour Challenge

This fortnight, the Less is More Challenge is to use : grey, raspberry and red.

For my card I used the Marianne Design Collectable 1456 and diecut the flamingo from hotpink, red and grey, the eye and beak in black, I thought it was ok as black stamping os also allowed.
Made the grass grey too just to add a bit more grey and to anchor the bird.

The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things'set Bitty Birthday wishes,

Look for rainbows

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: Bit O'green.
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Use some green.

For my Card I used the new Clearly Besotted Stamps as I have no LDRS.
For the background I inked Distress inks through the Clearly Besotted Stencil Got you covered. It's my second version as first I also made the circle blue, but I thought it looked too muddy.

The images and sentiment are from the set Under my Umbrella and I stamped it with Gina K amalgam ink and colored them up with Spectrum Noir markers. I made my little kitty green, the umbrella rainbow colored to match the sentiment and there's some green

in the background too.

In the Netherlands we do not  celebrate St. Patrick'sday so I thought a green plushie is the best ;-).

Cut them out and mounted the images with foamtape.

Floral wreath

I made this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: something feminine, showcasing Polkadoodles.
The AAA Birthday Challenge: flowers.

I do have 2 sets of Polkadoodle stamps: meow you doing and a monster, but they didn't seem very feminine, although I am a female and love cats, the set didn't seem to fit...so

My card is made with the Simon says Stamp Blooming circle die, I diecut it from stencil material and then applied Distress inks through it. I lost the inner flower bits this way, but I don't mind, it still  says flowers  to  me.
I could have inlaid it, might do that still on another card.

The sentiment is also Simon Says Stamp, from the Birthday Balloons set. I thought the swirly writing is very feminine and I stamped it with Versafine Clair ink.

The little fairy I already had in my stash colored up, it's from Joy Crafts and I stuck in on top with foamtape.

I dig you

The Less is More Challenge is: big and small.

This is my second card as I just liked this digi so much I bought it on purpose for the challenge. It's from the March release of Whimsy digi stamps.

I printed it on markers paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.I added the sentiment while I was editing the digi in Photoshop.

I printed it as big as possible, leaving as much white space too, so the details are still tiny, don't look too close hehe.

AAA Cards Challenge #160: Maxi white space + Metallics

This fortnight the AAA Cards Challenge is:  Maxi White Space with the option of Metallic.
Our  Sponsor is Pink and Main and you could win a $20 giftcard.

I have used  My Favorite  Things' Panda Pals and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Punny Animals. I stamped both with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and the grass in green. that's just to ground the panda. The panda is  not solid black, more sketched and I couldn't handle that, it looks like I stamped it badly, so I filled it in with a black Memento marker. It's personal, you don't have to do this.
There are plenty of good sentiments in the MFT set, but this one from SSS is smaller, giving me more white/empty space.

I've stamped directly on the cardbase.
I didn't film this, as I thought it to be too simple for a tutorial.
