Monkey with banana

The Less is More this fortnight is a sketch and whilst I was making the other card and I was looking through my stash of coloured images I also cam across this cute monkey. Also CC Design    (Monkeys set).

I like to color images when I have a break or watch tv, but I also should put them to good use, so just now in a matter of one hour I've used two to  make two cards how cool is that.

I masked the cardbase with all my sizes of masking tape to get the rectangle from the sketch.

Inkblended Distress inks Cracked pistachio and Peacock Feathers and splattered with Lawn Fawn Liquid stardust. Removed the

masking tape and stamped the sentiment. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple sentiment strips) and I stamped it with Versafine ink.

The monkey was previously stamped with MFT Extreme black ink and triblend markers, I mounted it with foamtape to the cardbase.

For more information or to play along the Less is More Challenge, see this.

I like the sketch so  much, I might make more, but first I should get dressed and go into the garden.

New home card

There's a new challenge over at Less is More Challenges: a sketch.

For my card I've used a DigiDoodle Design studio digi of the house, added a black frame and resized it according to the sketch. I left it uncoloured so the Puppy from CC Design would pop.

It is actually a Christmas Stamp (Cosy Critters) but I can see a puppy with the owner's slippers. I stamped it with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and colored it with Triblend markers, then cut it out. Popped it on with foamtape on the cardbase/background.

The sentiment I've added whilst in Photoshop.

Added splatters of water and then stamped the silhouettes from Marianne Design with Versafine ink.

The Mooses, Meese, Moose, whatever you call them I turned into Rudolphs, kinda without thinking. Stamped them on Copic friendly paper and colored them with my Triblend

The Male Room Challenge: Water/Beach

This month the Male Room Challenge is all about water and or the beach.

I went with an underwater  scene.

It's based on a T-shirt I once saw and I thought it was hilarious. I like punny cards for men, so it all made sense in my head.

The Shark and the little fish are from Avery Elle (Shark hugs and Monkey sea, Monkey do), I stamped them with My Favorite Things Extreme Black ink on Copic colouring paper, then cut them out.

I then Printed the Sharkasm using Word onto a panel. Did the sentiment in Word too "Yes, I just love a salad" hehe, cos you know Sharks eat a lot of greens....

Anyway coloured the images with Copic markers.

For the background I inkblended Distress inks (Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire) on the the Sharkasm panel and then splattered water for bubbles.

The Algea or Seaweeds are dies from a Pound Shop like store in the Netherlands and  I cut them from a variety of green card.

Adhered the panel to a cardbase then added the images and lastly the seaweed.

For more information or to play along the Male Room Challenge, see this.

I just realized this might also fit the Less is More Challenge of Sea Creatures. so if you're looking to join the Less is More or want more information, see this.

AAA Cards Challenge #189 Up to 1/3 and Mystical Beasts, with video

This fortnight we want to challenge you to use max 1/3 of your cardfront and the optional twist is Mystical Beast chosen by Francesca.

For my card I sized the Unicorn digis from Kinda Cute by Patricia, to be just under 5cm in height so together with the sentiment from Lawn Fawn it would be 1/3, that sentiment is from Loveable legends and I stamped it with Versafine ink. Coloured the images with Nuvo shimmer pen in Midas gold and Graph'it alcohol markers. Adhered the panel to a cardbase with tape runner.

Birthday Fishes

Today marks the start of a new challenge over at Less is More: sea creatures.

Also today I got in these new Water Plushies from Clearly Besotted and well I had to use them, didn't I?

I stamped the images with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink, coloured them with markers and cut them out.

For the background I masked off a horizontal strip and inkbeldned Distress inks: Tumbled Glass, Mermaidd Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire. then splattered with water voor the bubbles.

I didn't feel any of the sentiments went with my images, so I made

one with my label printer.

Mounted the images with foamtape and adhered them on top. in my package there were three of those rhinestones as a freebie/filler and so I used those and added a few more.

For more information on the Less is More Challenge, see this.
