The Less is More Challenge this fortnight is: metallics.
For my card I diecut the circle Winter Wonderland from Cut-ies from a card panel.
Traced the circle onto the cardbase and aplied Distress Oxides: Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire.
I left it as is, no splattering as I thought it would be too busy, too much noise and the Deer wouldn't stand out.
The diecut I have smeared with Versamark and heat embossed with Papermania Superfine silver powder, three layers, would have stopped at tow, but I left a thumbprint...urgh.
Applied tape runner on the cardpanel and adhered it to the cardbase.
Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair ink, it's and older one from Your Next stamp (Holiday reindeer, but it works fine ;-)
Applied mini dots of liquid glue on the back of my wonderland and put it back in the circle.

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: S is for... skiing in my case, or snow fun.
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is : anything goes, showcasing Tim Holtz products, in my case Distress Oxides and Spray Stains.
For my card I masked off a portion of my cardbase and applied Distress oxides (tumbled glass, stormy sky and Chipped sapphire.
Then splattered with water, white and brushed pewter Distress Stains, heat setting in between.
Then I stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things (Skisons greetings) with Versafine Clair ink and the image with MFT Extreme black and colored it with Spectrum
Noir triblend markers and cut it out, then mounted it with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

Bunny with Balloon
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, this week is: CAS cards, showcasing CAS-ual Fridays.
For my card I used two sets from CAS-ual Fridays: Some bunny and Heartfelt sayings.
I stamped the image with My Favorite Things with Extreme black ink and colored with Nuvo Alcohol markers. I've used Crafter's Companion Neenah solar white paper.
The sentiment I stamped with Versafine Clair ink. Added red to the little hearts, just for fun.
Then added some Nuvo Shimmer pen on the balloon and white gel pen on the eyes.
Adhered the panel to the cardbase with taperunner.

take flight
The new Male Room Challenge is: flight.
For my card I stamped and coloured the little Katzelkraft pilot with Nuvo Alcohol markers.
Then I cut the front panel as if there's a cloud in front of him, also gave me the room to place the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers (wish you were here).
On the cardbase I used more cut cloud borders (Lawn Fawn) and applied Distress Oxides.
Adhered the sentiment panel on top with foamtape and slid the pilot behind it.

Artist trading cards - hi
For the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge I made a trio of artist trading cards cards.
For them I actually used ATC cardstock bits, one white, I trimmed a little to show the black card and give it a nice frame.
I inkblended Distress Oxides on them and splattered with water, let it dry over night.
I am not entirely sure anymore, but I remember: spun sugar and seedless preserves, cracked pistachio and evergreen bough and peacock feathers, and squeezed lemonade, mustard seed and carved pumpkin.
I then stamped the sentiments on top, they are from Woodware jgs670-hello set. I stamped them with Versamark and then embossed them with Wow embossing powders: Aventurine, golden flame and hot gossip.
Mounted them on the black card with taperunner.
The sentiments day: hi- it would be great to catch up, or life is about the people you meet and how's things. The embossing powder is a little shiny, so not sur eif you can
read it.
I left them plain the the rest, I'm a CAS person after all, my ATcoins might be a bit more elaborate, but as it's hard to read the message, I thought it best to leave them alone ;-).

AAA Cards Challenge #147 Along the Edge + Imspired by a Song. With video
This fortnight our challenge was chosen by Bharati. The theme is Along the edge and
the optional twist is : inspired by a song.
Out Sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays and I've used their Somebunny stampset.
There's a sentiment in the set "everybunny needs somebunny sometimes" that reminded me so much of the Blues Brothers' Everybody needs somebody to love..
So I've stamped my image and sentiment on the left side of the card with My Favorite Things hybrid ink and colored him with my alcohol markers.
I chose to use a dark brown grey color to mimic the black suits the Blues Brothers wear. I thought brown would be nice than ice grey. I did look to see if I had a sunglasses stamp and or die, but they were all too big, much to big.
After coloring I attached the panel to the cardbase and trimmed the card to neaten it up. White gel pen on the eyes for some shine.
Now that song is stuck in my head...Everybody needs somebody to love, someone to love, someone to love, love love ...lol..
But if you'd like to play along the AAA Cards Challenge, or see more examples from our Design Team, see this.

Jingle all the way
The new Less is More Challenge is: One layer and stencils.
For my card I masked a strips on the cardbase and applies Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. I then applied Peacock feathers through the Simon Says Stamp falling stars stencil. I made sure the strip is a little more narrow than the stamp, so parts of it peek out of the green.
The stamp from Studio Light covers a lot of the stencilled stars, but if you look closely they are there ;-)
I stamped the Studio Light (Stampsl392) with Versafine Clair ink and dried it with my heat tool. three little rhinestones for a little shine.

Turn that frown upside down
When I saw the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge : Summer Blues, I had to ponder a while.
Then The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge came on also as : Summer Blues, Showcasing Avery Ellen.
At this point things fell into place in my head. I have this fun set from Avery Elle called That bites.
And I thought the blue water together with the encouraging sentiment , might fight that blue feeling ;-).
I stamped the images with Extreme black ink from My Favorite things and then cut them out and colored them with Spectrum Noir and Triblend markers.
I went for fun bright colors, that would stand out against the backdrop.
For the sea I inkblended Distress Oxides: Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire onto my cardbase, splattered the panel with water and heat set it.
Stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle with Versafine Clair ink and mounted the fish on top with foamtape. I used only two as I found it full enough ;-)

Tis the season to prance
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: add a diecut, showcasing Memory Box.
For my Card I've used the Memory Box die: enchanted deer collage and cut it from Black Cardstock.
The Sentiment is from Clearly Besotted: let's prance and I heat embossed it with Wow! metallic silver embossing powder.
I made the background with Distress Oxides: Black soot, Chipped sapphire and Blueprint sketch, then splattered with water, Distress Spray Stains in Brushed pewter and white picket fence.
To make the shaker I've used black craft
foam, cut out the middle and built it up as usual. I've filled (overfilled) it with iridescent star sequins and blue, white and silvery ones.

Ombre stamped background
The Maleroom Challenge has turned 6, so their new challenge is: birthday, of course.
It just so happens I made this card last night to post today and I think it fits the boy birthday theme, even with the pink balloon. hehe...
I've used Memento ink and the Gefelicteerd set from Carlijn Design and repeated the gefeliciteerd down the card in different tones of green, I thought they could be the Panda's forest.
The panda is from Craft Emotions (130501/1305) and I stamped him with Versafine Clair ink and the leaves and balloons from the same set iwth Memento again. I first had blue and orange, But I felt it needed three balloons, although there was no room for the little twine, also
from the Gefeliciteerd set from Carlijn Design...Just pretend it came loose or the twine is hiding behind the others ;-)
Happy birthday to the Male Room Challenge, for more information on their blog and challenge, see this.

Glow in the dark stars
For the AAA Birthday Challenge: for the boys.
For my card I used the stars from Simon Says Stamp's Birthday Balloons, I stamped them with Versamark and heat embossed them with Wow glow in the dark.
The Image is from Lili Of The Valley and is called Astronaut. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and Triblend markers.
I find it always hard to try and capture the glow in the dark bit, my house doesn't get enough sun to charge it,so the lucky for me I had the embossing powder in my window sill for weeks now and also my house doens't get dark enough to show off the glow inthe dark, sorry.

AAA Cards Challenge #146: Made in Minutes + Summer
This fortnight our challenge is Made in Minutes with the optional twist of Summer.
Our Sponsor is STAMPlorations.
For my quick cards I like to either stamp a solid image, or go through my image bank, of precoloured or assembled diecuts "bank".
The flamingo is from Marianne Design col1456 and the sentiment is from Marianne Design too KJ1714. I stamped it with Memnto ink Dandelion and Cantaloupe for the ombre effect.
For me the flamingo is the epitome of summer, the tropics I suppose.
I diecut all it's parts from colored cardstock, hadn't used it yet.
but
I thought to add a few of stamped hibiscus flowers from the same stampset, but it is a CAS challenge , so nope...
I did try a blue panel as a sea backdrop but all the colors I have made the flamingo look sickly.
It literally took me less than five minutes to make thiscard, but you can take your time if you play along, not days but a little more time ;-)

No glue treat box for Maoam bloxx sweets or others, with video and pattern
This little no glue or glue it if you prefer box is 2 inches long,1 inch high/deep and 1.25 inches wide.
I made it to fit these Maoam treats I bought, but you can fit anything inside that you have and is not bigger of course ;-)
For the box you need a piece of cardstock 5,5"x6"
Start to score on the 6" side at: 1", 2"4" and 5".
Rotate the paper 90 degrees and score at: 1".2,25" .3,25" 4,50"
Fold and burnish all the score lines, remove bits as indicated in pattern and glue or not the flap before you fold it over. I think it looks neater if glued, but if you're pressed for time and need to make many you can skip this.
I have rounded the corners on the lid, but that's also not neccessary if you're in a hurry.

Balloon animals
For the Less is More Challenge: Tangerine, Aqua and white, I've pulled out the Balloon Giraffe from Avery Elle.
I diecut it first, then stamped it with Memento inks : Tangelo and Teal Zeal. It looks more like this than turquoise to me on the photo, but anyway there's no other green/blue in the Memento range.
The Hoera is from Carlijn Design's set Hoera and I stamped it with Versafine Clair ink.
I glued the orange balloon down first, mounted the blue one with foam tape. Somehow they felt off centre to I added a few glittery enamel dots to even out the space. I was also considering another balloon, but chose dots ;-)

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: bright and cheerful.
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: anything goes.
I made my rainbow with Distress inks: Candied apple, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, twisted citron, mowed lawn, mermaid lagoon, chipped sapphire.
I then splattered it with water, white dylusions sprays and Brushed pewter Distress Spray.
The village is from Craftemotions, but there's many across the industry,I diecut itfromblack crdstock with doulbe sided tape on the back,so it's a sticker, easy peasy.
The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Clair ink.
