Doggie with heart

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: pets corner.
For my card I used a new Wild Rose Studio stamp called  Cl503 Dog with heart.
and for the sentiment I used a Technique Tuesday stamp called say it- love you by Ali Edwards.

I mounted them both on my WRMK precision press and inked them up with My Favorite Things hybrid black ink. Stamped it quite a few times to get a nice dark impression on the watercolor paper.

I used  Distress inks to color him or her. Whilst I was coloring I thought the doggie needed a bow,  but then decided against it ;-) I don't like dressed up pets.

Mounted the panel with foamtape and as the panel is narrower than the cardbase I filled the gap with a red valentine washi tape with swirls and hearts...you can't see much of it though, still it gives the illusion of a scalloped edge I think.

I added wink of stella clear glitter on the heart and nose for some shine and a healty looking dog, white gel pen to brighten up the eyes and a  reflection on the heart.

Squirrel love

Art Impressions set "nuts about you" is the cutest Valentine set I've seen this year, so I had to get it.
I colored my Squirrels in red tints, two different furs, but both inspired by the beautiful Scotland red squirrel.

It's a clear set as well, not used to that from Art Impressions, but kudos to them, I love clear stamps ;-)
I stamped it with My Favorite things hybrid black ink on watercolor paper and  colored it with Distress inks. I used some Shimmer Spritz (frost) on the balloon, applied it with a brush.
I usually don't do anything with the card base, but today I embossed it with the Cross stiched die from Memory Box, not actually a cutting die, it only embosses or debosses the words love.
I tried to capture it on the photo, but I had to use flash as it's a dull and dark grey day here in the Netherlands.

I then mounted the watercolor paper with foam tape
onto the card base. I used a dotted rectangle die to cut the panel.
I'm entering this into all three of the Simon Says Stamp Challenges, sorry I had to combine them, time is escaping me at the moment. Been painting the kitchen yesterday, but in order to do do I had to empty and clean it first. Not done yet, but I'm taking a break to make a card just for you ;-).

Giftbox for a Santoro stamp

I'm giving this little gift to our host tomorrow, when all the ladies from Crafter's Companion DT meet up.
I bought a little Santoro stamp, measured it, rounded up the size to 2"1/2, "1/2 and 3/8.
Entered those measurement in the tool section from the Crafty Owl website, and out come the measurements for the WRMK envelope punchboard.

As the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: anything but a card I thought  I should enter it ;-).
Showcasing We R Memory Keepers,  I used the envelope punchboard.

The boxbuster tool says to cut a piece of paper 7" square and score first at 2" 1/4 and then 2"3/4, rotate and join up the score lines as usual.
As the flaps were too big for the box I cut off the tips and notched the sides.
Glued it together with hot glue as that's a little forgiving and very strong.
I used a strip of scrap for the bellyband and secured it too with gluegun. The prettied up the belly band with some woodchip and paper flowers.

I hope she likes it.

A winter birthday

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, that is about to run out (winter birthday, showcasing Lawn Fawn) and the Monday Challenge (Chill out).

For my card I used a 140lbs watercolor panel and I applied water where I wanted my colored banner.
I used Distress inks (shaded lilac, broken china and Mermaid lagoon) and one Spectrum Aqua marker (orchid) to deepen the purple a bit.

I heat set it and then stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp (it's your birthday 3x4) with Versafine black onyx ink. Heat set it too.

Then I used the snowflakes from Lawn Fawn's winter penguin and critters in the snow and I stamped them with Versamark so I can heat emboss them. I used Wow! Opaque bright white for that and the MISTI as it's watercolor paper.
Mounted the panel with foamtape and adhered is off centre on the cardbase. I like more room at the bottom as it makes the panel float instead of heavy to the eye.

Big hugs

The Less is more challenge this week is one layer with favorite drinks or beverages.
I don't have stamps for that, so I ignored that bit ;-), either I don;t enter or I ignore lol

I made my one layer card by die cutting the My Favorite things big hugs die from the card base and from a watercolored panel.
Oh that has water in it, that's a beverage ...haha....never mind..
I placed the hugs onto the panel so to get the most variations, blue purple, blue again, but I wanted it straight on my card, this one's just a bonus card, and I love that.
But for the challenge it needs to be one layer, so I adhered sticky tape on the inside and inlaid the word with the watercolored word. Then I prettied up the inside with a panel of printer paper, just so you don't see the innards, but so it's still one layer on the front...does that make sense?

Added a few enamel accents from Ranger.

For the other panel as it was a panel I stuck it on the card base.

Hello

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: square.
The AAA cards Challenge is: hello.

I've combined the two in this square hello card.
To make it I used a piece of Schut Watercolor paper and ink smooshed on Distress inks Wilted violet and picked raspberry, I diluted it with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in the frost variant instead of water, I wanted this nice sparkly panel. I ordered two of these shimmer spritzes frost and sparkle. It's the first time I used them and I didn't know which to choose, but I'm happy with this frost look.
I then diecut the Simon Says Stamp painted hello from the panel and from black cardstock and inlaid it into the panel.
Raised the panel with foamtape and adhered it to the card base.
I diecut some butterflies from "normal" cardstock as in not watercolor paper.  For these I swiped the inkpads across the paper, spritzed them too with the shimmer spritz and then die cut some butterflies out of it.
I think it's a die from Olba, but I'm not sure got it second hand from a Facebook group.

Thanks

Whether you need a thank you card or are sending out thank you cards for all those Christmas cards you got, any occasion is good to say thanks.

The card is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: something new showcasing Simon Says Stamp products.
The Simon Says Stamp  Monday Challenge: start afresh,
and for the Less is More Challenge: ombre

I used the heart of flowers die and the painted thanks die, both from Simon Says Stamp and both came in today's mail..woot!
So new for sure ;-)

I diecut the heart from a cardpanel and mounted it with foamtape.
I diecut the thanks from black cardstock with doublesided adhesive on the back, so it becomes a sticker.
I painted a watercolorpaper panel with Ecoline (318) and faded it towards the bottom to get the ombre effect.
Mounted it all together and adhered it to the cardbase.

Superhero card

For my nephew, who's turning 12 next week I  made this card.
I'm entering into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: start afresh.

I got the Uniko (explosion) stamp in earlier this week and the My Favorite Things stamp (superhero boy) today!
I was quite anxious about it getting in in time, so I started the cardbase yesterday, I stamped all the words and graphics from the stampset with Memento dewdrops in fun and bright colors, I hope boy colors, but I'm not an expert on 11 year old boys, lol.
Anyway for the superhero I stamped him with My Favorite Things hybrid black ink onto Schut watercolor paper and used Talens Ecoline to color him, then cut him out and then I went around the edges with Memento black marker and mounted him with foam tape to the cardbase.
I didn't include a sentiment on the front as it's quite busy as is ;-)
Though about a black strip, but decided against it.
I've used fixative off camera to set the image.

A rainbow hurray

The challenge at Less is more this week is: dimension.

So for my card I used a Hoera (hurray) die from Nellie snellen and Distress inks.

I started by masking of a part of a cardpanel, inkblended on: candied apple, carved pumpkin, squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn, mermaid lagoon.
Then immediately brushed on Perfect Pearls in the pearl color and set it with a mist of water.
Let it dry.

Then I diecut the hoera from the front and four more times out of white card and stacked it all together and inlaid it back in.
Added the panel to the cardbase and added some enamel dots.
