Make a splash

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: A day at the beach.

For my card I've used the Whimsy stamps' Hippo Beach Fun.

I stamped it with Gina K amalgam ink and colored it with Triblend markers.
The sentiment is from the same set and I've stamped it with Versafine Clair ink.

For the beach I've diecut circles from all colors of cardstok, then ripped them to make the waves and foam. Stacked them back together and mounted the hippo on top.

Cat on the Moon

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Reach for the Stars, Showcasing Simon Says Stamp Products.

I've used the Simon Says Stamp It's your Birthday 3x4 set and an oldie but goodie from  Penny Black called Cat on the Moon.

I've stampd the image onto Crafter's Companion Marker paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers, had the Scan N cut do the cutting.

For my galaxy I inkblended Distress inks through a mask and then splattered Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain, Dylusions white Linen and Shimmer spray Sparkle for my stars.

The sentiment I've stamped with Versafine Clair ink.

I wanted something like reach for the stars as my sentiment, but I don't seem tohave it, or welcome baby, but then I thought birthday cards are always needed.

Mounted the cat with foamtape and adhered it on top

AAA Cards Challenge #170: Maxi White space + flowers, with video

This fortnight the AAA Cards Challenge is to made Maxi white (empty) space with the option to use flowers.

Our sponsor is Crafty Scrappers and oyu could win...

For my card I used a solid kitty from Moda Scrap: funny cat and I stamped it with Memento inks, then shaded one side by applying a darker Memento ink with a finger dauber.

The I stamped the littlest flower from the Fairy Happy set by My Favorite Things and elongated the stem as if the cat is holding it.

Added a bit of grass to ground the cat and
coloured the flower with Polychromos pencils. This is my normal DCP cardbase so  very very smooth and probably not suited for pencils, but for these tiny buts, I felt it's better than alcohol  markers that seep through to the inside.

Christmas in July One Layer Card

One Layer and Christmas in July is the new challenge over at Less is More.
For my card I cut a piece of masking paper to the size of my card.
Diecut a circle from it and then I diecut the trees from the circle, they are Joy Crafts! 6002/1335.

I applied both masks and then inkblended Memento inks inside (Paris Dusk, Nautical blue, Teal Zeal and Summer sky); then splatted with water and Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.

Stamped the Purple onion  Silhouettes Santa on the way and the sentiment from My Favorite Things  Bitty Holiday Wishes. I've used Versafine clair ink for both, then dried it with my heat tool.

Baby Shark doo doo doo doo doo doo

For the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: for a child.

I have no Honey Bee products, so for my card I used a stamp from Darcie's (Shark baby) that came in today from my Simom Says Stamp order...how's that for timing?

I stamped the image onto Crafter's Companion marker paper and colored it with Copic markers.
I didn't want to color it like the packaging, but still "normal" Shark ish...so grey blue and a peacock belly which might be pushing the "normal" hehe... anyway it's a costume, so...I don't care ;-)

For the background I inkblended Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled glass Distress Oxides, splashed with water for bubbles and also Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.

I stamped all sentiments from the same set with Versafine Clair Ink.
Mounted the "shark" with foamtape, comtemplated a wobbler, but decided against it.

Hey hop stuff

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: moving parts, showcasing Lawn Fawn.

I've used the Lawn Fawn Slide on over channels for the interactive bit.

Almost superglued my fingers together too haha..ok leaky superglue tube and Maaike don't go together, tossed it now but I needed it to glue my coin to a iron-on-bead and on to the frog.

The frog is from My Favorite Things  Toadally awesome and Icolored it with Copic Markers, then cut it out.

I applied Oxides Broken China and Mowed Lawn to a panel, then cut out the channel and inkblended the cardbase to match.

I stamped the Katzelkraft clouds with a  water and bleach solution to  bleach out the sky, it's very faint, but there.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's Punny Animals and I stamped it with Versafine Clair ink, then heat set it.

Mounted the cardbase with twolayers of craft foam so there's room for my element toslide, I think in hindsight I should have used a heavier cardstock, but I had this bit of scrap on my table, so...Didn't think about it .

Hoera voetbal team

The Male Room Challenge is: Sport

I made a second card and I also used a digi from Lili of the Valley: Football Bears.

Also colored it at work with Triblend markers, we might be open again, but things are slow ;-)

For more information on the Male Room Challenge, see this.

Hoera karatekid

I made this card for the Male Room Challenge: Sport.

The hoera is from Carlijn Design  Grote Teksten 2, so I added my DT badge and the digi is from Lili of the Valley that I coloured with my Triblend markers at work today :-D, it's called Karatekid.

Christmas Craft Creations July Challenge: Christmas Characters, with video

Welcome back to the Christmas Craft Creations, July edition: Christmas Characters.

I chose a surfing Santa, as if he's on holiday at the mo, getting a nice tan too.
I will send it to my friends on the Southern Hempishere as it's Summer there when it's Christmas.

For my card I used a digi by Craftin Desert Divas, it's no longer available, but you might have something similar.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas.

I made the background twice, didn't like the smaller window, so I used a stencil I made with an oval die, then inkblended Distress Oxides (Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon) through a Simon Says Stamp Waves stencil and for the clours a Marianne Design Stencil.

I mounted Santa with foamtape and placed him on top.

AAA Cards Challenge #169 Made in Minutes + Christmas in July 2 cards in under 15 minutes, with video

This fortnight the theme was chosen by  Lucie and she chose Christmas in July as the optional twist to the Made in Minutes theme.

Our sponsor is Time for Tea stamps. See the card with their images below.

I made two cards in under 15 minutes, you can see the real time video down below or on Youtube.
For my cards I used the Katzelkraft Penguins and stamped them with Gina K Amalgam ink on  two cardbases. Then I knew where to apply  masking tape and embossing powder.

I've used Wow  Diamond White embossing glitter, but glitter paper might be easier and even quicker, or make your own glitter paper with this embossing powder and cut strips.

For the sentiment I've used the Simon Says Stamp Tiny words Christmas and same Amalgam ink.
I then coloured the beaks, feet and skates with alcohol marker, and I know they might bleed through a little, but it's fine. I didn't do much shading because of this, you could add some tho their belly, but that would definitely show. You could cover that with some extra card on the inside.

For the  stamps from our sponsor Time 4 Tea Designs, I printed them onto Crafter's companion Neenah paper and coloured them with Alcohol markers. Cut them out. On the cardbase I  applied Distress Oxide blue (whatever was left on the blending tool) and spritzed some Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust. Mounted the images on top with tape runner and or foamtape. The images are from the set: Pawsome Christmas.

I coloured it with Copic markers.
