AAA birthday Cards Challenge #85

Hello, this is our Birthday month, can you believe it ? we are 7! So this month any birthday card goes.

For my card I stamped one of the raccoons from  C.C. Designs set with the same name (Raccoons) and had it cut out by the Scan N Cut, then colored it with Graphit Brush markers.

I masked off an area on the card base and applied Distress inks ( Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio with whatever was left on the blending brushes as I feel the Mermaid lagoon is a little darker than normal, but still pretty. I wanted to try to bleach the background with a damp towel and a stencil from scrapberry. it did work a bit,  but it's very faint, didn't

want to risk a  cloth that was wetter as my DCP paper doesn't really like water all that much.

Stamped the sentiment from the same set and then mounted the raccoon with with foamtape and adhered him to the card.

I look forward to your Birthday cards, you can enter them here.

AAA Card Challenge #313: Color Challenge

Hello, this fortnight we have a color challenge for you, use at least 3 of the colors on the badge, white, black, fur/hair color and silver and gold are allowed as accents.

For my background I inkblended Distress inks: Saltwater Taffy, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Rapberry and One Memento ink Lulu Lavender as I thought that's more on the red side than Shaded Lilac from Distress inks.

The colors don't have to be an exact match but as close as you can get them. I used the same pink inkblending tool, so I think the Flamingo and Raspberry kinda evened out.

I also used the Lulu Lavender for the sentiment which is Sunny Studio's Birthday Mouse, as is the image of the mouse.

I stamped it with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and colored it with Graphit Brush markers, cut it out with the Scan n Cut, mounted it with foamtape and adhered it to the card.

I look forward to your takes on the card, you can enter them here.

AAA Colourful Challenge #27

Hello this month I kinda took the colourbadge literally, well as literal as I could. I used a kakatoo I think instead of a Macaw bird, didn't have that.

My dies are from Spellbinders (Flying High) and cut it from coloured cardstock. Now in the badge you can see a bit of dark blue and even yellow and some purple dark red, but in the colour bar a red, 2 pinks , blue and green.

I used 2 shades of pink that looks more salmon like on the photo and I used brown and black as neutrals for the beak and twig p.e. I don't have all the shades of cardstock I would like.

For the background I've used a Studio Light  mask  (Tropical leaves), the sentiment is also

Studio Light (NL Gefeliciteerd).

I look forward to what you come up with, you can enter your card here.

For my card I inked up a Your Next Stamp stamp (Striptastic edge) with Card deco inks and Memento inks. (Canary Yellow, Dark Orange, Magenta, Rose Bud)

on top I stamped the sentiments from Woodware (JGS607 Hello) with Versafine ink. Added three rhinestones as it all felt a bit flat.

AAA Birthday Cards Challenge #84

Hello, this month we would like you to use Washi tape.

I don't have a lot anymore, destashed most of it a couple of years ago. But when I  odered a few cat things I also got the  kitten tape. In my stash I found the cheetah print and the  metallic ones.

I covered a piece of scrap paper with the cheetah print and then diecut the cats out of it. They're from Marianne Design (LR0889)

Adhered strips of the washi tape to the cardbase and stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted (Tiny Tape).

Glued the cats on top.

Can't wait to se what you make, you can enter your card here.

Charlie thought he should help me take pictures....

AAA Colourful #26

Hello this month we have a new interesting game badge, is it hail, snow, ice crystals? don't  know but I went  more tropical with my scene.

I started inkblending the cardbase, realised I put the sky or sea at the bottom, so cut that part into a strip and turned it around for a sandy beach and Sea/sky, maybe a desert at night as it's quite moody in the blue department, oh well I wish I thought of that earlier, I might have made it into a Christmas card ;-)

Anyway I've used Memento inks: Nautical blue, Teal Zeal, Toffee Crunch, Desert Sand and Card deco's Beige.

The palm tree is a diecut from
Marianne Design: LR0541 and the sentiment  (means Congrats) is from Studio Light (Nl Gefelciteerd) and I thought it might work for a
number of occasions.

I look forward to your card, you can enter them here.

AAA Card Challenge #310: Anything CAs Goes with the twist of Zoo and or Animals

Hello, this fortnight we have an Anything CAS goes challenge, with the option to twist it into a Zoo  and or animal theme.

For my card I used the Spellbinders dieset Flying High, cut from a lot of colored card, not as many flowers on the branch as they did on the package, but I also didn't want a bare tree.

Sentiment is Whimsy Stamps Simple Sentiment Strips.

I look forward to your takes on the card, you can enter them here.

AAA Birthday Cards Challenge #83

Hello, this month we'd like you to use diecuts.

For my card I diecut a window from a panel and traced th eopening onto the cardbase. then applied Distress inks: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry.

The hanging basket is from  Find it Trading (Berries Beauties BBD10040). I've used lots of scraps, great way to use some.

adhered everything together and adhered it to the cardbase.

The sentiment is from Studio Light  NL Gefeliciteerd.

I look forward to your makes, you can enter them here.

AAA Card Challenge #309 1+1

Hello this fortnight we play the 1+1 again.

I chose Lamb to go with my Spring prompt.

I diecut the lambs and ducklings from Gummiapan from colored cardstock. The grass is from Marianne Design (LR0524).

I added a little blue sky with whatever blue was left on my inkblending tool, just enough to make the lamb stick out.

The Sentiment is Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips).

I look forward to your takes on the card, you can enter them here.

AAA Colourful #25

Hello this month I saw old fashioned test screen from TV in I dunno  when they stopped, but if you know you know, once the programming stopped you'd get a special screen, or with technical difficulties.

So my card is a rendering of one of those screens, they might have been different per country, I don't know.

I diecut strips of coloured cardstock  twice for each colour.then adehered them to the cardbase. ealving a little border. a strip of black card in the middle.

With my Brother label printer I made the text, it's whie lettering on transparent tape. it's a bit shiny, because of the flash I need to use, but looks better in real life.

I look forward to your card, you can enter it here.

AAA Card Challaenge #308: Sketch Challenge

Hello, this fortnight we have a sketch for you.
For my card I diecut all sorts of shapes from different Avec Creative (Love to Craft) dies, these we could buy at Action but I haven't seen any in a while.
Anyway you can use stamps, paper, washi tape i think those strips would be excellent in Washi or scraps of patterned paper...
For my 2 pillars I diecut the lantern twice, the  scooter is from the same set, the portion of the road is another.
The sentiment is from Whismy Stamps: Simple Sentiment Strips and I stamped it in Versafine Morning Mist to match with the road. Added som shimmer from a Nuvo pen on the lights and then splattered a bit on the cardbase.

I look forward to your takes on the card, you can enter them here.

AAA Birthday Challenge #82

Hello this month we want you to make a slimline card.

For mine I went with a night scene. Train to Busan springs to mind  though ;-) You might have seen that movie....

Anyway...

I started by cutting an A4 at 21 cm, making it square, then folding it in half for my slimline. the bit left over I  cut slightly smaller to make a nice border on the panel.

On the panel I inkblended Distress inks: Mermaid Lagoon,  Blueprint Sketch, Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire. Splattered with water and silver metallic paint.

The scene is  made with diecuts from the Amy Design set ADD10129 and  pfff all those windows..I started with 2 city scapes, but I couldn't  do another. I lined the black with yellow for lights, seems almost everyone is home... same for the train, I diecut another wagon to make it longer for the slimline. The bridge is also two sets in grey. Gave the train a nice red colour, just to make it pop.

Adhered everything to the cardbase and stamped the sentiment, it's from Clearly Besotted (Tiny Type).

I look forward to your makes, you can enter them here.

AAA Card Challenge #307 Color Challenge

Hello, this fortnight we have a color challenge for you again.

Use at least 3 of 4, fur, skin and neutrals such as black or white, gold and silver are fine; and the colors don't have to be an exact match, just try your best.

For my stamping I've used Memento inks: New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves and Nautical blue

The brush stroke is a stamp from Marianne Design (Eline's Brush  EC0161 and the twig is also Marianne design (cs1143 Mistletoe), I stamped that on top with Versafine. I didn't realise it was mistletoe until I wrote down the supplies, I thought it was an Olive branch, so  you know it's versatile.

The sentiment is Whismy Stamps Simple Sentiment and I cut it out with the coordinating dies, then mounted it with foamtape.

I look forward to your takes on the card, you can enter them here.

AAA Card Challenges #306: Follow the Leader Francesca

Hello Happy New Year, we're back with a Follow my lead challenge, this fortnight it's Francesca's card we take inspiration from.

As it's January but I'm making this card well in advance (July if you must know) I went for Christmas. I could have done Winter wishes, but I found these diecuts in my stash, so Merry Chrsitmas it is ;-)

I inkblended the snowflakes on the cardbase (Studio Light SL-ES-Mask353) with Distress inks that were left on my blending brushes.

The little diecuts I had from my Christmas Card, all different brands, I think Joy Crafts, Gummiapan for the Bauble, but I'm not sure and Jeanine art house.

I Look forward to your takes on the card, you can enter them here.

AAA Colourful #24

Hello, this month our theme is quite pink, like pink pink pink and some more pink...well it's almost Valentine's day, so I made one of those cards.

At first I wanted to use the Clearly Besotted Laugh out loud Love, but I didn't fancy any of them with my images which is also Clearly Besotted (Stupid Cupid)

I stamped the images with Extreme black ink from My Favorite Things and coloured them with Graph-it Brush markers and Spectrum Noirs.

Made the background with Distress inks and a cloud Stencil from Marianne Design (PS8024) and applied Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar and whatever was left on my inkblending brushes

Mounted the images with foamtape and adhered them to the cardbase.

The sentiment is also Clearly Besotted but went with Tiny type in the end and Versafine Morning mist

I'm looking forward to your card, you can enter them here.
