Freshly Made Sketchs Challenge #184.
I Inked the left of the card with Distress ink (peacock feathers, cracked pistachio and tumbled glass).
I don't have many ornameltal die cuts yet, just some snowflakes and stars, hearts, squares, etc, you know basic shapes.
Instead of a tag I die cut the word Hoera (hooray) in that position. Die cut a few more in plain white and stacked them to give a little dimension (just 3)
Added rhinestones with gluedots to help your eye travel across the card.

AAA cards challenge #38: there's a hole in my card
AAA cards challenge #38: there's a hole in my card.
Great I thought I can finally put my Art Impressions stampset to good use.
I had wanted it since I saw it, bought it a few weeks ago, started coloring, then lost the plot so I put the colored imaga aside in my project bin, I just couldn't figure out how to assemble this lot.
And let me tell you, it looks like it wasn't my best crafty day as I messed this card up more times than I care to count....
Infact halfway through I started on another one with a lovely easy peasy die cut and stamp from Lawn Fawn, but I wasn't going to give up surely?
So I bit the bullit and carried on.
It's a birthday card with a window into a house full of cats. The wood pattern is to resemble wallpaper or woodpanelling if you prefer, infact I have wallpaper like that in my living room ;-)
The back of the cats is my favorite part.
the two black and white ones are an impression of my own cats and they had a few friends over for a party....lol..
Hope you like it..still sweating lol...this card brought me to breaking point, seriously...
Here are my adorable cheeky twins sleeping "comfortably"on top of laundry tower.
For more info on this AAA cards Challenge, see this
This is the other one, watercolored front panel with diecut, raised on foam and a Spectrum Noir colored flower.
the sentiment is from Joy Craft's cherry blosson tree set.

Less is more challenge #221: add a TAG
For this week's Less is more challenge I've used watercolor paper, a Ranger Dylusions stamp called Mushroom madness.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Gleeful gardens set.
Coloring with Ranger Distress inks.
Tag is made with same watercolor paper. Splattering also Distress inks.

CAS(E) this Sketch #120
For the CAS(E) this sketch challenge #120 I actually made 3 cards as a proces.
I ended up with this on on the left as my entry.
Bird and background are coloured with distress inks.
My first entry also looks a lot like the sketch, but I changed the orientation, then when I placed the sentiment I kinda felt like I messed it up, and that I had stepped away from the sketch too much.
Alos don't like the little blue shadow that grounds the bird.
In the card above I just placed him on the border, so it looks like it's standing on the white.
This first card didn't feel CAS enough to me.
I moved on to this image, orientation as in the sketch, sentiment, as in sketch, splotchy background added to the image, because there is no way I can cut that out!
I made the background splotchy by adding watercolor whilst using the heatgun to dry the paper, so the drips don't get the chance to fan out, if that's the right technical term ;-).
Torn the edges and mounted it with foam tape....
better, but not it either.
The third card to me is more CAS and mor elike the sketch, although I changed the placement of the sentiment (again), just because the bird is looking up. The Speech bubble might be a little cheesy, but I liked it. 3 gems to make your eyes travel across the card.

Freshly made sketches challenge #183
I've used a Scrapberry stencil as a stamp for the floral panel, inked with Distress inks.
For the bar at the bottom I used the same inks to mimic the 2 bars in the sketch.
The sponged bar looks much better blended in real life than on the photo :-(
I've stamped my sentiment on vellum, to tone down the floral panel and I used a bold stamp from Sizzix so it would stand out even more.

Lawnscaping Challenge #104: sketch inspired
Lawnscaping challenge: sketch inspired.
I wanted a mostly one layer card, so I've masked off three areas and sponged the background with Distress inks in an ombre like effect.
Then I've stamped Lawn Fawn's critters from the past in the 3 windows and colored them in with alcohol markers.
I've used the stones also as clouds, clever eh?
I've die cut a circle for the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape so I could arrange some leaves behind it.
I've covered the little blue egg with Glossy Accents.
For more info on this Lawn Scaping Challenge, see this
I was awarded the Honorable gnome badge for my card, so thank you!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: due date
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Due date.
I don't have any date stamps, preggie stamps or alike, so I started thinking how to go about this challenge.
I've opted for the "I'm sorry I'm late" because that is like missing a deadline, isn't it?
The images and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn, gleeful gardens.
I masked a square and taped it off for water coloring with my Peerless watercolors, but I let a few images hang over the edges.
The snail is holding the birthday card and I die cut them and popped it up on foam tape for some dimension.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Make your own backgrounds and My Favorite things
This week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to make your own background and showcasing My Favorite things.
I have ONE My Favorite Things item, the stampset called bold statements, and here's how I used it....
I used a piece of red cardstock and tone on tone red pigment ink.
I chose all the positive statements, like you're fab, you rock, thank you, you're amazing and you're a star. I've filled the whole background with positivity.
On vellum I've stamped, "i'm so grateful" also in red pigment ink. I first sprinkled white pearl embossing powder from Wow on top, but I didn't like it, so changed it to just the red ink.
I've place a few rhinestones at key words on the background, so you're a star, thank you, i'm so grateful catch your attention and make a complete sentiment.
I thought that was clever..lol..Hope you like it too.

CAS on Sunday challenge #56: Gold
CAs on Sunday challenge: Gold.
For my gold I used a Scrapberry stencil (petals), and a medium you might not neccessarily think of...Viva Decor's Inka Gold. Actually a rubbing paste, but it also gives dimension and dries hard...way cool!
I didn't have any gold embossing paste, or ink to stencil and I didn't want to heat emboss it late at night because of the noise, also I thought heat embossing would be the "easy" solution...;-). So I taped off a corner of the stencil for the gradient and with a palette knife I applied the Inka Gold.
The sentiment is from Sizzix (birthday clear stampset) and I've stamped it with Memento Tuxedo black.
The sequins are all gold tinted, some more reddish or brownish to pick up all the tones in the Inka Gold.
Stuck those down the big ones with glue dots and the small ones with Aleene's Fast grab glue.

Friday Mash Up #204: congrats and shakers and Lawnscaping challenge #103
This week's Friday Mash up #204 is all about Congratulations and Shaker cards.
I love making shaker cards, so woot!
I've used Schut smooth watercolor paper 300grams, I think that's 140lbs.
I've stamped Lawn FAwn's Monster mash with black Staz-on.
The "Have a Boo-tiful day" is also from that stampset.
The Happy Birthday is from Sizzix and I think it's called Birthday.
I filled my shaker with loads of colorful sequins of various companies.
I water colored with Peerless Watercolors and then added some googly eyes.
the googly eyes inside the shaker are stuck down, doesn't the square looks like a monster too now?
For more info on the Friday Mash up, see this
I usually don't combine challenges, and I've already entered in the Lawnscaping challenge, but I thought this one turned out sooooo good (esp my coloring if I say so myself), I've entered two of the 3 times allowed ;-), so for the Lawnscaping challenge, see this

Less is more challenge #218: predominantly black
I've diecut 6 sheets of black cardstock to get the height, which you still can;t see really, but the card is pretty heavy ;-)
Behind it I've placed a piece of yellow cardstock (as if the moon) and I've stamped the Bird silhouette from JOy Craft with black Staz-on.
The sentiment is from Eline's sweet sentinments and I used Perfect pearls on it, It says Thinking of you, which I find so fitting with this image.
I don;t have any Clearly Besotted stampset as of yet, but I have my eyes on (quite) a few, especially they're fabulous dies...one day lol..

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: A
This week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "A".
I chose this stampset from Lili of the Valley called Abracadabra for my A.
Didn't fit on an ATC card alas, so normal card with a sentiment from Kaisercraft (blue bay set), which I've heat embossed. Stamped the image with black Archival ink on Arches watercolor paper.
I've colored the yellow stars first with Peerless watercolor and then masked them with Aleene's paper glaze. Did the same with the little stars I punched out of cardstock and covered in paperglaze and then Stuck down with Aleene's fast grab glue.

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #117
The CAS(E) this sketch of this week has inspired me to make a shaker card, as if I need convincing to make one lol.
I've diecut a circle 6 times, trying to be as precise as I could, are there dies out there that can do this in one go? I want it ;-)....
For the DImension I used craft foam where I alo cut out 6 circles. It's only one layer so I couldn;t fit seed beads in, which I wanted at first, I opted for some sequins. The sketch has 3 shades of hearts, so I used white, red and silver sequins. The sentiment is from Eline's sweet sentiments.
For more info on the CAS(E) this sketch, see this
At first I was inspired me to paperpiece a whole lot of kitties.
But I would have liked them to be smaller, but the stamp is what it is.
Stamp and sentiment are from Eline's sweet sentiments.
I've colored some bells with gold and some with Aleene's paper glaze. Some cats are raised with foam dots. This wasn't it...
