AAA Card Challenge #292: Follow the Leader

 

Hello, this fortnight the card to follow is from Sue S. I made a few variations, the first 3 I didn't like, mostly because I wanted to use a smaller font die set and it just didn't work as well as it did in my head.

I made a 4th card and I actually love this one.

For my Merry I've used the Marianne Design Collectables Col1449 alphabet dies and cut them from a white panel. Mounted a black panel on a white cardbase ( so you can still write your message inside, but you could make a black cardbase, saves on paper)

Splattered with silver/grey and gold water color and let it dry.

Mounted the panel with foamtape and adhered it to the card.

My first cards were an attempt to use gold leaf in the diecut and it looked shabby to me, on Sue's card the golf leafing looks fabulous.

AAA Colourful Challenge #16: May-June

 

Hello this month our game badge is a flower, a Spanish Daisy I think, not sure.

I saw purple, gold/ochre, black and White.

I found it quite challenging at first, then I separated all the colors and it made more sense to me, I'm sure it's different for you/everyone.

My purple butterflies aren't as dark as the one on the game badge, I really don't have such a deep purple, the ochre/gold I made with a gold circle, a wreath if you will by diecutting two nesting circles.

Bold black sentiment from Studio Katia (mini Birthday Greeting) and a few foam squares.

Seems simple after the fact haha.

AAA Card Challenge #290: Anything CAS Birthday goes

 Hello we turned 11!, well our challenge blog and challenges I mean.

Last year we celebrated big, but 11 doesn't feel as special, it is, just no prizes sorry, we hope you'll still join in.

The challenge is CAS birthday, so we look forward to your entries.

For my card I inkblended a cardpanel in rainbow colors with Distress inks and then splattered with water, silver and black shimmery watercolors, let it dry.

I diecut the Birthday Wishes from Whimsy Stamps from both the rainbow panel and a  black one for the outline.

I forgot to put double sided adhesive behind the rainbow, but luckily I remembered with the black as those lines are too thin for liquid glue for me.

Put it all together and partially stamped the Happy Birthday, also Whimsy Stamps with Versafine black ink.

AAA Birthday Card Challenges #73: 6th birthday

 

Hello this month, we're celebrating our birthday, our 6th! can you believe it? I cannot but time flies for sure.

For my card I used the Crocos from Katzelkraft and I stamped him with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers.

Nuvo shimmer pen on the balloon.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and it's from the Simple Sentiment Strips, stamped with Versafine ink.

I matted the panel and adhered it to a cardbase.
