CAS(E) this sketch #136
I've used Simon Says Stamp air vent die and stuck a strip of gold paper behind it, for a minute I considered raising it, but at the sides it would have been too difficult to even attempt ;-)
Same gold cardstock for the sentiment that is from Memory box (small thanks)
Cut the panel slightly smaller than the cardbase and mounted that with foam tape.
Simple and elegant ...I like it!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: food and or drink with SSS
I've used the birthday circle die set for the cupcake.
Die cut silver metallic paper and purple and green glitter paper and inlaid it into the silver cardstock.
Die cut a stitched circle and as the stitches are on the negative bit I mounted the cupcake onto that, raised the smaller frontpanel with foamdots and stamped the sentiment (from Dovecraft)
at first I thought I could well use a Simon Says Stamp Birthday sentiment from the bithday Balloons, but as the challenge is about food and or drinks I thought this to be a better match, also fits more occasions, sorry!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: homegrown summer.
I have an allotment garden, 150 square metres I think that's 3 times in feet so 450 square feet of untamed wilderness..lol..
I have two greenhouses for my tomatoes, chilli peppers and bellpeppers, eggplants or aubergine, and cucumbers, then outside loads of flowers and perennials to keep maintenance down, some veggies like beans, carrots, beets etc but this year the slugs and snails got it all! :-( As I grow
everything organically I hand pick slugs and snails and dispose of them in the compost bin at home, far away from my veggies ;-)
At the moment I'm harvesting a gazillion blueberries and the last strawberries, the first tomatoes and lots and lots of courgettes...lots!
I took inspiration for this card from I picture I made last week of my harvest of blueberries for that day.
the colours are represented by the Distress inking of the background. Then a top panel with sentiment from Dovecraft and Simon Says Stamp pale blush ink.
I diecut lots and lots of circles in 4 sized out to the frontpanel to represent the shape of the berries.
At first I thought about raising the fronts panel, but decided to mount is flush with the background.
Still leaving texture as the "berries" are set back a little.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: make a plan.
At first I thought I can't take part in this week's challenge, I don't have a planner, just a calendar on the wall, and I don't really plan much, my life is very boring ;-) lol
But I do host a dinner club every Friday, they pay the groceries, I cook them, but at 6 euro per person for a 3 course meal it takes quite a lot of planning.
Looking through the ads to see what is on offer, then make a meal out of that, a soup and a dessert.
I wish we had coupons here like on extreme couponing...but alas.
Anyway to plan all this I make a grocery list, I calculate costs and try to squeeze it in budget.
I decided I could use a prettier notebook wherein I plan my shopping trips.
I've pimped it as best as I could, by covering it with cardstock and applying gesso, then coloring it with Distress ink diluted with Winsor & Newton iridescerent medium, then splattered it with spray stains in the same colors and with brushed pewter and picket fence.
Rummaged through my trinket box full of die cuts extra and diecut a bunchmore out of vellum, cardstock and glitter paper. I've a mix of snowflakes, hearts and stars in silver, gold, blue, lilac, purple and a pale blue almost white .
Stuck them down with glue or gluedots and trimmed the edges.

Less is More Challenge #236: one layer and the eyes have it!
Stamp from Art Impressions Feline set.
Stamped with Memento black ink and coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers on Neenah solar crest ultra smooth cardstock.
The bubble I drew myself and shaded it a little, but it's all a one layer card.
I've tried to make one like my kitties, but failed miserably ;-) black is hard...

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: tie it up with Paper Smooches
I've used the Paper Smooches Balloons die on Marker friendly heavy cardstock as I first wanted to use my Spectrum Noir Markers.
Then I thought I'll ink them with Distress inks, which I did and whilst doing so I remembered the wonderful Jennifer Mcguire using Perfect Pearls to make faux metal panels on one of the videos this week, so I thought I'd try that to give my balloons some shine and it's gorgeous. I fixed the perfect pearl with some water.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's Birthday Balloons and I've heat embossed it with gold.
I've used matching metallic strings to tie my balloons to the sentiment

the photos are very similar so pardon me for combining them.
I made a strip of sea and beach by sponging on Distress inks (a diy made purple similar to dusty concord, blueprint sketch and mermaid lagoon for the sea and fossilized amber for the sand, the foam is just card left white)
The diecut from Joy Crafts! is also coloured with Distress inks, I die cut it on watercolor paper and used twisted citron and peacock feathers and ripe persimmons and spiced marmalade)
the sentiment is also from Joy Crafts!
