AAA Cards Challenge #43: starry night.
I´ve made an Aurora Borealis or Northern lights water color card.
I´ve used liqud water colors from Talens ecoline for that.
I handdrew the twiggy trees, there´s a stamp that looks kind of like these trees but I don´t have it.
I used a black Sharpie for the trees and the faux stitching
A white Sharpie to dot in the stars.
Black frame to accentuate the colors and no sentiment to detract from the water coloring ;-) I mean it could be a "thinking of you" or any other card now....
Then I wondered if it was CAS enough, so made another with a smaller panel, so there's more empty space. I used Distress inks and mini blending sponges for this one. Memory box cityscape die and also white Sharpie.
But I really like my Aurora one, so will enter that one ;-)

Both of your cards are gorgeous. Your Aurora Borealis sky is so beautifully done and I love that you hand drew the trees. Your cityscape card is also wonderful - the blended colors are spectacular. Thanks for linking up and playing with us at AAA Cards!
ReplyDelete2 simply beautiful cards Maaike - I can't pick a favourite as they are both so awesome. Great work and thanks so much for playing along at AAA Cards. Sarah x

ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunning. Great job on the night sky and the aurora-that's my favorite, too. I missed the recent night show as we were clouded in here in Upper Michigan-but saw some awesome photos.
ReplyDeleteWow! I just love the Aurora card; your twiggy trees are Fab :)
