CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #150!

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #150!

I made a second card for this week's challenge, as I started to doubt myself, as I often
do ;-).
I was happy with the other one, but I felt I could do better.

Now I'm not sure the sentiment meets the number requirement, but I thought it might, so I used it.

I cut a strip of cardstock, masked off areas and inked them with Distress inks (spun sugar and picked raspberry) to make stripes, then I cut out the heart and mounted the panel raised from the cardbase with foamtape.

I used the Amy Design Star filled heart and cut out 2 hearts in pink tones, not quite the same as the Distress inks, but close. I thought to ink them with Distress inks too, but I like the little teint change or all would have been quite sickly sweet ;-).

The sentiment and image are from the Inkadinkadoo stampset, welcome baby.
I colored the tortoise with my Spectrum Noir markers and then cut him out and traced the edges with a black marker.
I stuck him half inside and a bit popping out of the heart.... him or her, it's a girl card afterall lol.

    Louise xx

  3. Your tortoise image is so cute, I especially like the way he/she is stepping out from the heart. Thanks again for joining in our birthday celebrations. Stef x

  4. Having the turtle stepping out from the cutout is a cute way to bring him/her to life! I like how you've inked the horizontal stripes - the edges have more character than crisply cut cardstock. Thanks for joining in our CC&S birthday challenge a second time!

  5. So fun & such a cute image :) Thanks for joining in on the fun at CC&S. Hugs Bev (Uniko Sponsor & GD)
