AAA Cards Challenges #164: One Image + Inspired by TV, with video

This fortnight our challenge is to use only ONE image and the twist , if you choose to use it, is inspired by tv.

Our sponsor it CAS-ual Fridays and the theme was chosen by DT member Ishani.

For my Card I've used the Stay Golden set from Kindred Stamps as it's their take on the Golden Girls.
I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and  had my Scan n Cut cut it out.

For the strip along the cardbase I've used Distress oxides and then stamped the little stars from CAS-ual Fridays on top with a darker Oxide.
If I had thought about it sooner, I would have left the masking paper on, but only after I

thought this card needed a  bit of sparkle, as I thought the Golden Girls are quite flamboyant ladies, it needed a bit of Liquid Stardust from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and mounted the lady with foamtape.

rainbow hello

The Less is More Challenge this fortnight is: scribbles, drips and or splats.

For my card I used two Woodware sets: Van Cat for the paint splatter and Hello for the texts.

I stamped the sentiments with Versafine Clair ink and then a rainbow of  splatter with Memento/Card Deco inks.

One layer too, so :-D

Sing like nobody's watching

The Male Room Challenge this time is: Music.

I used a digistampset from Beccy's place for it. Added my own sentiment, there's some included, but I wanted this one.

Coloured it with liquid watercolours from Talens Ecoline and added a pew music notes with a little punch.

I printed the digi on watercolour paper with  my laser printer, so it's waterproof.

AAA Cards Challenge #163 a Sketch, with video

Happy Easter!

Our AAA Cards Challenge this fortnight is a Sketch and the optional twist is It flies, chosen by our dt member Michelle.
For my card I've used two it flies : a butterfly and ducks. It is a Lili of the Valley Digi called Easter Sweeties, seemed perfect.

Our Sponsor is Stamplorations and you could win: $15 credit to their digital store

For my card I cut up a full sheet of A4 DCP paper to 21cm first, scored and folded that square in half, The bit I cut off I've used to print my digi and then matted it to size.
My printer can take all sorts of paper sizes, but I left it as big/long as possible in case it decided to line it out differently to what I want it to...it does that ;-)..it's easier to cut off a bit than adding it if the image is cut if half.
I added the sentiment whilst prepping the digi. Then I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir markers and mounted  the panel with foamtape. Added some shine with a  Nuvo Shimmer pen.

Out of focus

That's the new challenge over at Less is More.
I chose a bokeh effect for my card. For it I applied Distress inks through a mask and then White Lawn Fawn Ink through the dotted circle stencil from Simon Says Stamp.

I had this fairy from Joy! Crafts in my ready coloured stash so I used her as my image. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things' Bitty Birthday Wishes. I might cover it with a banner as I had reinked my  Versafine and it stamped a bit "bold"...we'll see how I feel tomorrow ;-)

And I also like to enter it to the AAA Birthday Challenges, for their dots and or stripes challenge.

Christmas Craft Creations April Challenge, Use a Stamp, with video

I'm delighted to say I joined the Chirstmas Craft Creations DT. Once a month we make a Christmas Cards according to the prompt.

This month it's: Use a stamp.

For my card I used Clearly Besotted : Christmas Line up and Laugh Out loud Christmas  for the sentiment.

I start my card by inkblending a background, through a home made stencil/mask. I applied Tumbled glass on the bottom and Stormy Sky Distress Oxides on the top. I thought it would look like a snowy scene.

I splattered Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust at the end, it was a bit of an afterthought, but I was careful, if not you should add the splatters now, before you add the images.

I coloured my Christmas Line up with Spectrum Noir markers and adhered it on top with foamtape.

I started to make little thank yous for all those people who can't stay inside, those people, I call heroes, that  help us in hospitals, retirement homes, supermarkets, anyone who goes out their way for us and sometimes get the abuse end of the stick from people stockpiling.

So I thought what can I do when we're allowed out again. I  usually make a 3 tealight box, but as I want them to stretch further I made them a little smaller with two lights. Still a nice gesture I think and a little kindness. I have many tealight left, infact almost donated them away! same with scrappaper. Clapping on the streets is not really for introvert people like me.

For the box you need a piece of card 4.75inchesx5.5 inches. You can get 4 oout of one piece of scrappaper (12x12inch) and you have a few bits left over, you caould use as a bellyband or tag. I used ribbon instead.

On the short side score at: 3/4inches and 4inches
On the long side score at: 3/4, 23/8, 31/8 and 4 3/4 inches
Burnish and cut out notches as indicated on pattern. I prefer using hotglue to stick my boxes together, it's much easier and quicker.

I've used a stamp from Carlijn Design and I let my Scan N Cut make the tags, but you can use whatever you have of course.

Dots and or stripes

That's the new AAA Birthday Challenge.

For my card I used the Your Next Stamps Stripetastic for the stripes with Pink Fresh Studio lilac inks.
No rainbow this time lol

For the Sentiment I've used Clearly Besotted Tiny Type and Laugh out loud.
I added a few contrasting dots in the form of enamel dots, and that's when I feel out of love with it, it's like red and green on a Christmas card, can't stand it lol

Anyway I shall ponder a little more and make another, as it doesn't have to be CAS I might  do something else...At first I didn'twant to enter it, buttaste differ and others may like it.

I'll just blame the dog

This rat from  Katzelkraft's Les Rats des Villes is just the perfect image to go with the sentiment, I made it  on the computer, printed it on markerpaper and then stamped the image of the rat with Gina K Amalgam ink.  Coloured the image with alcohol markers. Adhered the panel to a cardbase with tape runner.

It's for the Male Room Challenge: make  me laugh

Garden bugs

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Happy Birthday.

I Stamped it once on a cardpanel and once on Masking paper, cut out the mask and applied it on top. I applied  Distress Oxides inks through an ovalstencil., removed the mask and then colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.

The sentiment is also from Clearly Besotted (tiny type) .
