I used to have a veggie patch, an allotment if you will, for about 15 years, I gave it up last year as it got too heavy for me, it was all clay soil and my body just rebelled and said "nope".
So for my card ofcourse I had to use a veggie theme. So I combined the Clearly Besotted Pick a plushie with the sentiment from Funky Fossil Designs.
I stamped the vegetables with WOW embossing ink and heatembossed them with Wow Bright white opague embossing powder. peeled the top mask off and stamped the image again with Gina K amalgam ink.I thought I might want to colour them, but felt there was enough colour as is.
Stamped the sentiment with the same ink.
I know ONE layers scare people, but I look forward to what you come up with, you can link your creation on the AAA Cards Challenge blog.
I guessed you'd plump for gardening as you have the most densely packed balcony garden ever. Loving all your bright happy vegetables, they look so inviting!
ReplyDeleteLove the bold colors then the stems of black and white!
ReplyDeleteVery adorable and funky vegetables! Good idea
ReplyDeleteLeuk kaartje en mooie kleurencombinatie. En neen, mijn kaartje is niet geborduurd maar helemaal gestempeld.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and vibrant card, Maaike.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Maaike - love that bold background!
ReplyDeleteLove your veggie card Maaike! I gave up on my veggie garden this year because the Possums ate all my produce!
ReplyDeleteaww I'm sorry. No possums here, but hares, rabbits, birds and slug and snails by the bucket load, so I gave up last year, mostly for my health, but I don't miss the eternal struggles being an organic gardner
DeleteThanks for leaving a comment. It made me feel part of the gang, even if I did use a Kraft card with no white space. I now know the process for next time at least.😉
ReplyDeleteI must admit allotmenteering is hard work but our soil is lush, as are the weeds. Good job I like weeding. 🤗
Cheers, Sue. x
