The Less is More challenge this fortnight is: Lucky Dip- Chalkboard technique.
I started my process with the one chalkboard with sentiment only, but as I was looking for that Woodware set I came across the Whimsy set and so I made two, mostly cos the giraffe didn't fit in the frame.
The frame is from Craft Sensations and I enlarged it by stamping the top first, then the giraffe and then the bottom to fit.
I have been known to draw on schoolboards before cleaning them ;-).
I've used Versamark ink and Wow opaque bright white regular.
The sentiment is also from the Giraffe Peeking set from Whimsy and I've used Versafine Clair ink.
The woodware set is called Old Type messages.
To keep it CAS I only used a portion of my card for the Chalkboard look. I left the strayed bits of embossing powder on purpose, so it looked more like a mess.

Both are fabulous Maaike - I wouldn't know which one to enter if I'd made these and well done on getting them both made so fast this morning too

Two very different and both wonderful takes on the technique, Maaike. Always a joy to have you play with us at Less Is More.
ReplyDeleteI think you've got the technique just right in these two cards. Well done for being first to post as well - thanks for playing with us at Less is More.
