I made this card for best friend. It will include a giftcard for a high tea, so I thought the stamps were perfect and she really deserves it. Pink is her favourite color too,so I foresee a big hit. The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: for a special lady, showcasing Altenew. I only have one Altenew set and don't know how to incorporate it to be honest. The Less is More challenge is: Beverages. For my card I stamped these images from Craft Sensations with SSS intense black ink and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers, then cut them out and mounted them on the cardbase.

There's a new challenge in blog land: AAA Birthday. A sister challenge to the AAA Cards Challenge. Also CAS. Looking forward to play along. The first challenge is: Anything Birthday goes. On oldie but goodie is the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: this week it's add something metallic and showcase Brutus Monroe...I would if Ihave any BM things. For my card I used an Alcohol ink,background I made in the video below, I experimented with watercolor techniques on alcohol inks. And this one's my favorite outcome. So I thought I should put it to use finally ;-) I then used the powder tool to remove any static and stamped the sentiment from Woodware (aged to perfection) with Versamark ink and sprinkled Wow rich gold embossing powder on it and heat set it. Adhered the panel to a cardbase. No embellishments as I thought the colours were masculine and they might not like glittery enamel dots....not that I care too much haha, but I don't think the card needed them. Well I call it camo as in camouflage clothes as it's a lot of different colored patches. I made it for the 10th birthday for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Happy birthday, showcasing Simon Says Stamp exclusive products. For my Card I diecut the SSS circle of leaves from a cardpanel and stamped the SSS sentiment from Birthday Balloons with Versafine Clair ink. Mounted the panel with teeny bits of foamtape. For the background I used something I call camo embossing. Not sure it's a proper technique or if it has a different name.But essentially I applied Versamark ink on the cardbase, sprinkled little hills of embossing
powder. I re use the overflow, so the pinks are a mystery. It;s all Wow embossing powders. New ones I've used are: black Magic, Hercules, Fairy Dust and Carroussel. I made this card for the Less is More challenge: one layer and blooms/petals. Ans the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: anything goes, showcasing Concord &9th. For my card I used two Concord & 9th sets (you are enough and butterfly beauty for the sentiment). I stamped the outline and sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink,directly on the cardbase for the ONE Layer challenge and then used the petals for color, I used pink and magenta inks. Added three pink enamel dots to finish the card. I positioned the flower in the bottom corner to leave as much white space as possible, there's is actually more stem to
that flower, but it has no fill in stamp so it stays white, unless you go in with pencils or markers and my cardstock doesn't like them, the markers will bleed through and it's too slick for pencils. This fortnight our challenge is a Sketch plus the optional twist of a shaker. Our sponsor for this game is Winnie and Walter. I only have one set of W&W and so for my frist card I used the Marianne Design Collectables Col1386. It's actually a "build your own giraffe" but I used the negative. I think you can tell what it is... Not all of them work, but the dino set does also. I diecut the body and head from a panel and then stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink. It's from a Marianne design set EC0171 I then traced the opening onto the cardbase and onto a sheet of white craft foam, the same size as my panel.
Using the traced line I knew where to apply Distress Oxides Cracked pistachio. Added double sided tape to the craft foam sheet and acetate and adhered it to the panel. I've filled my shaker with green toned sequins and fun colored stars. I did start out picking out only the green ones, then I though Oh that blue is pretty too, so is the purple..and in they all went ;-). Closed my shaker by adhereing the cardbase on top. The second card is done pretty much the same way, I just changed the shape of the shaker window into a heart to match with the Winnie & Walter sentiment from Big Hugs.
