Use paint...

That is the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and I've purposely bought Distress paints (blueprint Sketch and Twisted Citron) as the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: anything goes, showcasing Tim Holtz.

So the paints are Tim Holtz and so it the diamond die I've used (Sizzix 660220) and the sentiment is from SSS (it's your birthday)
I stamped it with Versafine onyx black ink.

Diecut the diamond lattice thing from a sturdy panel, traced it onto the cardbase and dabbed on the Distress paint. I had never used any before, I do like the matte finish it gives  and the brightness of the colors.

Mounted the panel with foamtape and then adhered it on top.
The cat is from Marianne design (col1454) and I had it in my stash, actually there are more in my stash, but I just had to use the one that looks like my cats, of course ;-)

AAA Cards Challenge #137: Made in Minutes + Dry Embossing, with video

This fortnight our challenge is Made in Minutes and the optional twist is Dry Embossing.
Our Sponsor is Heffy Doodle .

I've used the Happy Snappy Crocs from Heffy Doodle and a hearts embossing folder from Marianne Design (DF3438) and the Marianne Design  Eline's Brushes (EC0162).

In the video you can see the extend of my embossing folders (3) and you can always turn to embossing dies and or use your scoring board for a few lines; not too many, let's keep is as CAS as possible ;-)
So I placed a card panel(1cm smaller than the base) on the edge of my embossing folder , to just get a few hearts along the
edge, I thought they would go well with the sentiment.

I then Stamped the happy snappy croc with Versafine Clair ink and then the sentiment as well.

For coloring my croc I've also used a stamp and Pear Tart and Bamboo leaves ink from Memento. Personally I cannot do the colour outside the lines thing, so this stampset helps, also with the time issue.

To finish the card I've place three enamel dots around the image.

the Workbench

The Workbench is a (digi) stamp from Lili of the Valley. Mine is a digi, so I printed it on the Crafter's Companion Neenah Paper and colored it with Copic, Spectrum Noir and Spectrum Illustrator markers, then adhered it to the cardbase with double sided tape.
No sentiment as of yet, as I'm not sure if it will be a birthday or a Fathers day card.
I kept the colors to a minimum and manly I hope.

I'm entering it into the DIY challenge over at the Male Room Challenge.

Chocolater Easter Eggs treat box with bunny, with video

For the box you need a piece of card sized: 7"x 5"3/8
Score on the long side at: 1"5/8, 3"1/4.4"7/8 and 6"1/2
(making sure the thin line is at the bottom (rotate clockwise)
Score on the short side at: 1:5/8, 3: 1/4 and 4"7/8.
Reinforce all the score lines, cut away what is not needed and cut the fold lines at the bottom.

I use hot glue gun to glue it together, but you can use double sided tape if you prefer.
Decorate the little box to your liking and fill with treats. It willalso hold three tealights if you prefer and many other things I'm sure.
I've used a bit of ribbon to help it stay shut. That's only needed if your cardstock is thin and a bit flimsy.
But it looks nice also if it;s not needed :-)

100th card of 2019

Yes 100 already and I made it for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  miniature/tiny things.
And as the Wednesday Challenge is about cute things, I shall add it there too.

I think mice are tiny creatures, but I'm not sure if that's what they had in mind.
For my card I used the Stampendous Willowclimb stamp and I stamped it with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas and I stamped that with Versafine Clair ink.

Colored the image with Derwent Inktense pencils. I've used hot pressed smooth watercolor paper and mounted the panel with foamtape to the cardbase.

Some Nuvo Shimmer pen on the cattails for a little sparkle.

AAA Cards Challenge #136 One Image + Spring, with video

This fortnight our challenge is using only one image only and the optional twist is Spring.
Our sponsor is Craftyscrappers.

For my card I've used a digi from Sliekje stamps, you can find them on her blog for free.

I've sized it in Photoshop and added the sentiment. I've put the Welcome between brackets as I'm sure the flower that finally came up and the human who grew it weren't too happy about a playful and naughty kitten, also a sign of Spring ;-).

I've printed the panel on Ecoline printable watercolor paper and colored it with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and Odourless spirits.

Adhered the panel to a cardbase with tape runner. The printable watercolor paper from Talens, is very thin, doesn't like a lot of water or it will buckle, but it was fine with pencils and spirits, but it's also too thin to act as a cardbase.

rainbow card

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Whatever the weather, showcasing Sunny Studio, but I have none of their products.

So for my card I made  a sentiment in Photoshop and printed it on a panel.
Inkblended Distress inks for my rainbow (Candied apple, Spiced marmalade, Mustard seed, Twisted citron, Mermaid lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted violet and Picked raspberry)

Splattered it with water as if raindrops, forgot my inkejt might not be 100% waterproof, but it survived) and the added half a Lace Butterfly from Wild Rose Studio on the side.

I've stamped 3 of the kittens from the StampingBella set of Kittens (eb778)with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink onto Crafter's Companion Marker paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.
I cut the panel wonky, so had to  mat it to make it straight again.
Used tape runner to adhere itto the cardbase.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and I stamped it with Versafine Clair ink.

whatever the weather

Is the new challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, this time.
I live in the Netherlands, and the weather is cold and  drizzly, today even with hail and 2 minutes later sunshine....crazy weather.

So I thought the Carlijn Design Stamp of the Netherlands with Greetings from...was perfect.

I've used Distress Oxides with water to make the background, heat setting every layer.
I wanted it to look a bit like a map, or satellite photo.

Then I stamped the Netherlands and the greeting from Nederland groetjes with Versafine  Clair Nocturn ink.

The kitty paw is from Nederland Icoontjes and I also stamped it with Versafine clair ink, then added a bit of Nuvo Shimmer on top. It indicated where Delft is,or there abouts cos that paw is as big as three cities haha...
Anyway that's me, Delft and cats..perfect right?

Sadly I have no Sunny Studio products.

Design (Grouchy Kitty and Splish Splash and I stamped them with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir and Illustrator markers. I've used Crafter's Companion Neenah paper to stamp and color, then mounted the panel onto a cardbase.

Let's float away together

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: create a scene and I made an underwater scene.

I've diecut "bubbles" out of a panel, stamped the sentiment from Craft Emotions (Ocean set 1,2 and 3).

Traced the panel onto the cardbase and applied Distress Oxide inks ( chipped sapphire, mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass), then spritzed it  with water and stamped the little fishes with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink.

Mounted the bubbles panel with foamtape and adhered it on top of the cardbase.
I've stamped the fishes with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and colored them with Spectrum noir markers, cut them out with my plotter. Then I tucked them in and behind the bubbles. Few blue enamel dots to create more bubbles.

I printed it on the Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir and Illustrator markers. Then I used Nuvo shimmer pen Midas touch on the flowers and white gelpen dots in the eyes.
The sentiment I added whilst I was in Photoshop.

Easter egg hunt, with video

Today I colored this cute little bunny, who's playing orpicking Easter eggs, he's so cute smiling like that..

Lucky clover

The Male Room Challenge is: gorgeous greens and as it's almost St. Patrick's day I used this Clover leaf thing from Ipression Obsessions ( L16431).

I stamped it with Distress inks Lucky clover and spritzed it with water. It was a bit too blue for me, so I went over it with Shabby Shutters and restamped it. then used a wet brush to  move the ink, making it look more like a watercolor painted card.
Heat set it, the sentimentis from Clearly Besotted and I stamped it with Versafine Onyx black ink.

Then I added some gold shimmer Spritz, just because of the Leprachaun gold. lucky clover, luck is with the irish..see how my brain works?

Mounted the watercolor panel onto the cardbase with foamtape.

This fortnight we have a new and challenging game.
Use a Sentiment and any three of the "slices" out of the  circle and if you can, squeeze in the optional twist "friends".

Our sponsor this game is Pink and Main.
I thought my couple on a scooter could be best friends, or one is sending the card to the other wishing they were here ;-)...

For my card I printed the Lili of the Valley digi Ride with me, onto Crafter's Companion Marker paper and then Diecut the tree line, stamped the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers (wish you were here) with Versafine Onyx black ink.

I traced the horizon onto the cardbase and applied Distress Oxides (Mermaid lagoon and Tumbled glass)
Then I colored the image with markers, mounted it with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

I printed the Craftin Desert Divas digi on Crafter's Companion Marker paper and colored it with Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers.
Cut it out and mounted it on top.
