This Fortnight at AAA Cards Challenges we're playing with the 2 bits of 1/4 again, this time with the twist: Favourite Colours as chosen by our DT Member Michelle.
I've divided my cardbase into quarters, then masked off the middle otherwise it would be 1/2 and not 2 1/4s.
My favourite Distress ink colours are Wilted Violet and Peacock feathers, so I've used those to inkblend my quarters, first I thought I'd do one of each, then a gradient, but went opposites, just for fun.
Stamped a border stamp from Studio Light on the bottom, it's not wide enough to fit in one go, but I've managed to weld them together quite nicely. Left the middle mask on, so when I peel it off it looks like two different quarters, Wanted to do the same stamping in each quarter, but decided against it, but it might look better with the two hens in the same place instead of one almost falling off...ah well next time.
Not sure it's still available, it's Stampsl353 and I've used Versafine ink for it.
The sentiment is from Wow (Just saying stampset 41), also stamped it wit Versafine ink and then heat set it.

I think next to purple and pink , purple and turquoise run a close second. Love your distinct two quarters!
ReplyDeleteLove how you flipped the colors! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours and card. Great idea to blend the colours opposite of each other for the two quarters. Thanks for the video.
