I think you're purrfect

Well that's a nice thought...my cats are driving me insane at the moment...no, really...I love them but man oh man, let's blame it on the weather eh?

Anyway onto my card:

I used the Last Minute Manda digi "A cats life", I printed one of the images onto Copic safe paper, colored it and cut it out, mounted it with foamtape.

For the background I've used a Create a Smile Stencil (Splotch) with Distress inks, the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

There's a food bowl in the set with Spoiled on it, might make a nice sentiment too ...you know it's true ;-)

There's eight digi images in the set, even a can of tuna, and these digis are so affordable at 2.2 euro for a whole set!

You can find it here

Happy retirement

Hello, this week I'm showcasing the Whimsy Stamps Spring Gnomes Digi set.

I Printed this particular one from the set on Copic paper, cut it out and then colored it. Mounted the image with foamtape.

For the background I masked off about 1/3 from the top and applied a Distress inks (whatever was left on my blending brushes/sponges), I thought this could be a river or sea, puddle doesn't matter.

The sentiment is also digital from the Everyday Banner Sentiments and I cut out "happy retirement" as I thought  the gnome could be spending his retirement as lazy days bobbing on a lake, river, sea, brook. puddle..No care in the World.

Added  white gel pen for detail.

AAA Cards Challenge #218: Sketch + flowers

This fortnight we have a sketch for you and the option to use flowers. I didn't, I loved the sketch as is and I don't have many if any flower stamps.

For my card I used stencils with circle cut outs and ink blended Distress inks through them.

The I used the Happy Little Stampers set Mix Mash for the outlined circles and the sentiment. I've used Versafine for that.

Added a few dew drops (enamel dots) from Marianne Design.

Brilliant Butterflies

The Less is More started last week, but I had no time until now: One Layer Card + One image (sentiment allowed)

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Clean and Simple, Showcasing Hero Arts is you have it. I thought stamping on the cardbase with ample white or empty space i Clean and simple.

As long as I had my supplies out, I made a set of cards with the My Favorite Things Brilliant butterflies, and for the sentiment I've used Clearly Besotted's Tiny type to ensure the most empty space.

For stamping I used  bright colored die ink and Versafine ink for the black.

Distress ink Uncharted Mariner, kitten mayhem and color combos

Life's a beach

Hello this week I've used the Whimsy Stamps Digi called: Curly.

I Printed him on Copic paper, colored him and then cut him out. mounted him with foamtape.

For the sentiment I've use a Whimsy Clear stamp (Toucan party).

I masked off a strip on the cardbase, them ripped some masking tape to make my sea froth and inkblended Distress inks for my sea and beach, splattered with water.

Stamped the sentiment with Versafine ink. Then mounted the kid on top and filled in the areas between the legs, under the arms and in between the tentacles to match the background. I'm not attempting to cut that ;-) And honestly did you even notice until I told you?

Find the digi in the Whimsy Store: Curly.

Morning coffee

I made a little  coffee gift tag with the Last Minute Manda digi set Morning Coffee. I printed one of the images in the set on Copic safe paper, together with the sentiment, cut it out with a tag die and then colored it. I know usually those coffeemakers aren't lilac in color, usually  stainless steel, but I was thinking of those Kitchen mixers in pretty colors and I didn't feel al greys was a nice gift tag.

With some ribbon I tied three Espresso Sticks to it. Just nice little thing to hand out I thought. I think the sentiment makes it funny.

to the beach!

Hello, this week I made a beach themed surf card, it's Summer!

I've used  the Dude digi from the CC designs collection. I colored it with Alcohol makers, cut it out and mounted it with foamtape, set it aside.

One the cardbase I stamped the surfboard sta,p, also Whimsy (Surf Shark)

I made my beach/sea by masking off a strip on the cardbase and inkblending strips of different colors of blue Distress inks. I ripped masking paper for that wave look and moved it every time. The beach is Scattered Straw with a splatter of Gathered Twigs, on the blue part I splattered with water and white paint, then used the same white for the edges. I don't remember all the blues I've used as I went back and forth to get the color and gradient I liked, but there's Prize Ribbon, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon in there, maybe Chipped Sapphire and Tumbled Glass, not sure.

Stuck the image on top.

You're the Coolest.

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Bright and Cheerful .

It was also the Monday Challenge but I didn't have it ready in time to take part. It's OK really, I don't expect to win but it's a nice  motivation to get it done I suppose, didn't have all the supplies I wanted to use, and that's OK too.

For my card I made a video too and I think it's bright and happy.

I've used the My Favorite Things: Pair of Popsicle Dienamics, Mustache Trio, the

glasses or Paper Smooches (No longer in business), but there's many across the industry, MFT had one too, but I don't have that particular one.

For the popsicles I inkblended Distressinks on  the panels before I got the dienamics set and I didn't know their size, watch the video to see my whole mental gear shifting in action.

I've used real coffee stirring sticks,  there's the option to diecut it too, but I thought this was fun.

The glasses I embossed with Wow Clear gloss to give that plastic frame look. Goodly eyes were mandatory.

The sentiment is from MFT as well *Every flavor of happy) and I stamped it with Versafine ink.

The strip on the cardbase is also Distress inks: Twisted Citron and Mowed lawn.

AAA Cards Challenges @217: 1-9th + Butterflies

This fortnight we have the 1-9th game  again. You can use any of the 9 rectangles on the badge, but just one. You don't have to use the optional twist, but it's fun and was chosen by  Michelle.

I diecut my butterflies from Joy! Crafts (very old 6003/0033) from handmade vellum. It didn't cut perfectly as it's so old, but I kinda like that.

I stuck them in the corner, overlap them a little and hang them off the edge a little, so I don't use the whole rectangle and there's room left for the sentiment. Last time

I added is afterwards, which You can always do.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple sentiment strips) with Versafine ink.

Three little gems for shine.

Gnome Pals Travel

I made a Summer Holiday card with one of those required sunset photos people seem to like ;-) I inkblended the background on the cardbase with Distress inks, covered it with a semicircle window and cut black elements for my tropical holiday scene.

The gnome is from Last MInute Manda on Etsy. It's called Gnome Pals Travel and it's a digi stamp. I colored him with Copic Markers.
If you want it you can find the set with 5 other Gnome pals here: https://www.etsy.com/nl/listing/1202411017/gnome-pals-travel-digital-stamps?click_key=edc1fe4bf7b4f665a64d7f61a7e985487407ebd9%3A1202411017&click_sum=84c658e9&ga_search_query=travel&ref=shop_items_search_1&sts=1

AAA Birthday Challenges #38: Flowers

This month we are all about flowers on a birthday card.

For my card I used the Clearly Besotted stamp set: Wonderful Wishes.
I stamped the  background on  the cardbase and them stamped the images on Copic paper and colored them with my Copic markers, then cut it out.
Colored the background, just slightly. just to give it some colour, but still keep it in the background.
mounted the images with foamtaoe.
the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips)

Summer fun

Hello, this week I made a fun card with the Whimsy Stamps digi Ice Cream penguin from the Some Odd Girl collection.

Colored it with alcohol markers, then cut it out and mounted it with foam tape.

For the cardbase I've used Dstress inks through circle stencils I made with nesting dieset.  thought they could be bubbles in the same color as the icecream.

The sentiment is also Whimsy from the clear stampset called Surf Shark with Versafine ink. Adhered the Penguin image.

Boy's toy train

Here's my second card idea for the Masculine theme at Less is More.

Masked off the bottom of a card front, applied Distress inks : Mermaid lagoon, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.

Stamped the Happy Birthday from Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips)

The Boy and the toy train is from Nellie Snellen and I actually elongated the train with 2 more carts,I diecut it

from black cardstock and glues them on the cardbase (HSFD- Boy in go cart and HSFD033)

For more information or to play along the Less is More Challenge, see this.

Updated July 21st:

Masculine CAS card

Hello, the new Less is More Challenge i: Masculine, probably as Father's day is approaching, but I wonder if Boys is considered masculine too.

I didn't use boys but I had a few stamps in mind.

I went for a man grilling on the BBQ, it's a silhouette stamps from Nellie Snellen (Sil071)  and the sentiment is from Whimsy stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips), stamped both with versafine ink and heat set them.

For the background I inkblended Distress inks on the cardbase and splattered with water. I've used Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon.

Reach for the Stars

So here's my second of 3 ideas for the current Create a Smile Challenge.

I stamped the images from To the Moon on Copic Safe paper with MFT Extreme Black ink and cut them out, then colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers and mounted them with foamtape.

For the background I looked through my Scrap paper. Ideally I would have liked it a little darker, but it looks like space nonetheless. And I had to decide if I wanted a  curvy or straight or even ripped strip of paper, you can see I settled

for the most CAS option.

The sentiment is also from To the Moon and I stamped it with Versafine ink.

Nuvo shimmr pen on the helmet and a few details on the planets.

Create a Smile Sketch Challenge

It's been a while I left the Create a Smile Challenge team and I was just too busy or tired to play along their fabulous challenges.

This week there's a sketch that spoke to me so much I had to do make at least one card.

I also had the same idea with the planters as one DT lady, so I might skip that one and do another I have imagined in my head.

For this card I stamped the vases from Simply Wonderful with  MFT Extreme

black ink.

Colored them with Alcohol markers and then Stamped the flowers from Floral Decorations and the Sentiment from Mini Birthday with Versafine ink. Elongated the stems with a black fineliner and added shine with a  Copic blender pen, then white gel pen. Mounted the panel on a cardbase.
