Craftin Desert Divas Haul and an anouncement video

I am honoured to announce I have joined the Craftin Desert Divas Digital stamps design team.
To make nicer  or more elaborate cards I bought some extra supplies like sentiment sets.
AS you, I don't know what is coming out in the next couple of months, so I got a little bit of everything, things I can use all the time, not just for CDD things ofcourse.

Red, white and or blue...

Is the theme over at both the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, showcasing SSS exclusive products.

For my card I used red white and blue and a bit of black, the black is shimmery cardstock and I diecut the SSS birthday circle die from it, also  from the white panel and  put it in place of the white one. Stuck it to the panel with Scotch tape bits and then mounted the panel with foamtape.
On the cardbase I stamped red and white striped pattern,  If you look closely you can count 13 stripes as in the original colonies, yep...thought about details ;-)


The Dutch flag is also red white and blue and it feels too patriotic to me, not my favorite color combo, but little bits are cool, especially if in another hue.
Then I added glittery blue enamel dots and one white glitter star (dot? ) because of the

stars in the USA flag .
The red ink I used is Versafine Crimson red.

Video Collab #5: Mermaids with The Joyful Soul Creates, with video

Today's card is a rather big one, 15cm or 6 inches, well almost 6 inches lol.
It's a video collaboration with the Joyful Soul Creates and the link to her video is down below.
I had to cut my own cardbase from a full sheet and also for the diecut panel and white one.
I have listed all the materials together below, I think it's easier to find what I've used.
I have stamped all the mermaids and critters from both sets and let the Scan N Cut do the cutting.
I also diecut the frame from black and the seaweed from green card.
For the sea background I've inkblended Versamagic and Distress Oxide inks. I didn't do any splattering, you can ofcourse, but I thought it was busy enough.

I was thinking shaker card at first, but the frame is very thin at points and I didn't know how to contain glitter if there's gaps, so I abandoned that idea.
Colored the images with my markers, I ended up using the turtle from MFT and the Mermaid from C.C. Designs.
I used Dp and Ap colors for her hair, they work well together in hair in my opinion. I haven't actually tried them on a solid  area to see how they blend then.

To make the mermaid extra shiny and glittery I dotted glitter pens on the tail. These are just cheap ones from Action a Dollar store like shop. Copic actually sells alcohol bases glitter pens if you're interested. I think Stickles might also work or glitter glue, but might be harder to apply.

I used liquid glue to attach the frame. I like that the inkblended panel is bigger, you can cut it smaller if you prefer. It's like a colorful border around all that black.
Mounted the critters with foamtape and tucked in just two of the seaweeds . I thought I had more room ;-).

Buddy with balloon

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: anything goes, showcasing W+9 products.
Alas I have none, so I used the Penny Black set Buddy and Duck for my card.
I stamped the image and sentiment on watercolorpaper with Simon Says Stamp intense black ink and colored him with Aquablend pencils and Distress spray stains.
Added shimmer with the Nuvo Shimmer pen on the balloon and added the panel to a cardbase.

For today's card I masked off a strip on the cardbase , then inkblended Distress Oxides (Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade) together with Versamagic inks (Red Magic and Mango Madness)

Then I stamped the dandelion from Marianne design (tc0837) with Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow! embossing powder (opaque bright white). I then stamped the sentiment from Karin Joan (encouraged KJ1724) with Versafine Onyx black ink.
A few glittery enamel dots,but just a few because of the occasion.


Deze week is het een minder leuke kaart, nou ja om te sturen minder leuk, maar resultaat vind ik wel mooi geworden.
Ik ben begonnen met het afdekken van de kaart basis met Post-it tape en dan heb ik met een mini inkblender Distress Oxides en Versamagic aangebracht (Carved Pumpkin en Squeezed Lemonade en Red Magic en Mango Madness).

Daarna heb ik een poeder tool gebruikt op het gekleurde gedeelte en met Versamark ink de paardebloem van Marianne Design (tc0837) gestempeld en met Wow! embossingpoeder (opaque bright white) embossed met heattool.

De tekst is van de Karin Joan Encouraged lijn (KJ1724) en die heb ik met Versafine Onyx black ink gestempeld.
Een paar glitter enamel dots, maar niet teveel, wilde het toch wel sober houden i.v.m. de tekst.
