For the Less is More Challenge this week I had 2 ideas, and thought I'd choose once they were done.
I started with Magenta and lime green.
I used Talens Ecoline ( a fluid transparant watercolour) and Smooth 300gr Watercolour paper from Schut.
The stamp is from Bold Statements by My Favourite Things.
I think my Staz-on is getting a bit dry, because I stamped the sentiment 3 times and it still had a blotchy look.
Covered a few round punches with glossy accents for an embellishment in the same colours.
The other idea was to use blue and orange as opposite colours.
I used Mermaid Lagoon Distress spray stain on the same smooth watercolour paper from Schut.
The fish stamp is from Ranger Dylusions and the sentiment from Joy Craft.
Few blue rhinestones as bubbles.
Now I think this is my favourite...but I find it hard to choose as I think they both have flaws...

Ooh! I love both but my personal preference is for the more dramatic first card

WOW! These are FANTASTIC Maaike.
ReplyDeleteLove them both but I think the fish swings it for me as it's just shockingly fun. Great colour techniques on both and thanks for sharing how you did this.
Thanks so much for sharing and taking part.

Love both cards - love the pink and green combination, very effective :-) x
ReplyDeleteLove these, the green and pink watercolours are so vivid, and great with the black. And the blue sea effect looks fantastic with the pop of orange.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us.

Wow what a brilliant card, love the fish.
ReplyDeleteI just think the fish out of water wanting to 'sea' is just so very clever and fun! That would definitely be my pick.
