Hippo Bird day

There's a new challenge over at Less is More and it is: add a bit of bling. Both the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday Challenges are about adding a bit of green, in honour of St. Patrick's day, I'm Sure.

For my card(s) I started by inkblending the Clearly Besotted Roundabout circle on the cardbase, I've used a circle opening to position my landscape and Distress inks to make my landscape.

then I stamped the sentiment from  the Clearly Besotted set: Hippo Bird Day with  Versafine ink and smudged it when I was cleaning the stamp (slap face), so I diecut it out and stuck it on a new cardbase. Lucky for me it's not the ONE layer week ;-) I didn't want to start over from Scratch, but this time I did heat set the sentiment to be sure .

I stamped the image with My Favorite Things Extreme black ink and coloured it with Copic markers. I added my bit of sparkle on the balloon with a Nuvo Shimmer pen. I did contemplate to make the balloon green but I felt the pop of red is needed. There's green in the landscape after all, but I added some glittery enamel dots, contained inside the circle.
