And I would like to showcase a newly released digi from Whimsy Stamps and Dustin Pike: Christmas elf boy..there's also a gril version, gingerbread and reindeer.

For my card, I've printed the digi with a positive sentiment, kinda based on you can't see around the bend...you know it I'm sure.

I've colored it with Graphit Brush and Spectrum Noir markers, cut it into a mat and stuck it onto a cardbase.

Disability is not inability

 

Hello, isn't Christmas a time of positive thinking? I think it is.

Today I'm using the newly released digi from Whimsy Stamps and Dustin Pike: Christmas Elf Girl.

I printed it with the inspirational sentiment on alcohol marker safe paper,  then colored with alcohol markers.

I found the sentiment in some guise on the internet, but I wanted the word Disability to appear a few times.

For my card, I've printed the digi with a positive sentiment.

I thought of one of our community centre visitors that was struck by polio back in the day and although in a wheelchair he likes to do everything himself, I just help him over the door bump, but he could do that too.

Gordy the snowman?

 I had an idea..Inspired by the newly release clear stamp from Whimsy Stamps (Snowman)

I thought the scarecrow pumpkin could be a Snowman  like that clear set with the wooden legs, even a Halloween like one with the Halloween accessories.

As Long as I hid the pumpkin stem and colored it white, I think it could be a ball of snow.

So I used the Santa hat and Mistletoe from the Christmas Accessories and a carrot now ( I think Frosty Hugs, but I looked at a few and can't remember which one I used, but any will do, even considered drawing one, but I didn't have to),

So in my photo editing software I did some digital masking and that's easy with digis. Then I printed it on Copic marker paper. 

I set about to color it in Christmas red and snow, I mistook the Mistletoe for Holly Berries so started wit the red and then I noticed the leaves, oops ..anyway I like them. the Grass at his shoes are now snow piles and he's standing on a snowbank

I think the sentiment is discontinued, now sure it's from Ski Monsters clear set, also Whimsy, you might have it.

Mounted the panel to a cardbase.

Christmas positive vibes

Today I would like to showcase a newly released digi from Whimsy Stamps and Dustin Pike: Christmas Reindeer..there's also an Elf Boy or Girl and a Gingerbread version. Every digi set comes with many images, too many for me to showcase , but I use one of each set and made sure they're all different poses and positive sentiments.

For my card, I've printed the digi with a positive sentiment, I looked around the internet and then gave them my own twist. I'm more the Grinch at Christmas but these warmed my heart ;-)

AAA Birthday Card Challenges #56: Add a tag

 

Hello, this month the Birthday Card we make should feature a tag, or a card with matching tag.

My tag is actually a window in a tag shape, like I saw Michelle from the Card Grotto do on her Youtube channel in May.

For my card I mirrored the window as my element (Toucan) faces the other way. 

I've used all things Marianne Design:

Tag LR0411

Flowers are from the Bee set COl1505

Toucan is Col 1457

Double Sided tape LR0014

Distress inks: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and  Rustic Wilderness.

lots of colored cardstock.

I started bij cutting the tag shaped window 3 times from the left t make it straight and without smudges, only to realize I prefer it on the other side, so two more panels diecut and it still wasn't straight, looks straight when I stick it on, but I was fed up, so I  cut cut a matte to make it straight.

I traced the opening onto the cardbase, masked the edges outside the matte and applied my Distress inks, then splattered with water and set is aside to dry.

In the meantime I diecut all the elements from Scraps of colored card, backed with the double sided tape, so they  become stickers. I forgot one or two bits.

Mounted the panel with the tag window with foamtape before I realized I forgot to stamp the Happy Birthday and at this point I really didn't want another mess, so I did add it afterwards in photoshop.

I tried the black banner like in the Video from Michelle, but I  didn't know where to put it and at the top is wasn't   that pretty.

I then tucked the branch and all the bird bits into the window and assembled the Toucan and foliage. And lastly I added some details with a white gelpen.
