Firefighter: you're fabulous!

The theme over at Inkspirational this week is : mint and navy.

I got an address through Postcrossing for a German volunteer firefighter. So I matched them up.
As I have no clue to what the uniforms of firefighters look like in Holland, let alone Germany I just used the colors from the challenge.
I stamped the image from Lili of the valley (little folk-little heroes) with StazOn, same fro the sentiment from Technique Tuesday ( (fabulous by Ali Edwards).
I've used Distress inks to watercolor the image.
I've used Schut hotpressed and smooth watercoloring paper 300grams.

Usually I don't stamp on the inside but the little fire engine from Create a smile (whimsical wheels, just had to feature) and the Thank you is also from Technique tuesday.

Few glossy accents enamel "drops" as if it's actual water spraying ;-)

I touched up the sentiment with a Memento Marker as it didn't stamp well, at first I thought I'd leave it, bit grungy, wish I had now ;-) I can't wait to get a MISTI.

  1. Well whatever the German firefighter's uniform is , I am sure they will recognise that this is one from his hose! It's so great when as cardmakers we can tailor-make cards like these. This lovely card looks so fresh in the Inkspirational colours. Great job.
Thank you for joining us at Inkspirational Challenges. Come back next time! Marina

  2. I love this card! We have some big fires burning close to home with thousands upon thousands of people evacuated - this card would be perfect for those fighting the fires. Beautiful!

  3. This is super cute! Perfect for the recipient too. Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational!

  4. What a fantastic card! Those sentiment stamps are wonderful and the fireman is so cute! Thanks for sharing with us at Inkspirational!
