AAA Cards Challenges #117: Geometrics

This fortnight the challenge is: Geometrics and was picked by  DT member Elaine's.
Our Sponsor is Uniko  and the prize is the choice of one in stock stamp set.

For my card I used a hexagon die from Nellie Snellen and diecut it 7 times our of a cardpanel, the die is appr. 2cm in diameter and I staggered them in a fun way.
I then Stamped the sentiment from Uniko (All occasion sentiments #6) with Versafine Onyx black ink.

I traced the openings onto Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and then colored the shapes with Spectrum Noir markers (dr3, or2,ct3, cg3,lg5,ib3, lv3) and lathered the hexagons with Nuvo Shimmer pen for shine. You could also cut out glitter paper in
a rainbow order and inlay the openings...I only thought of this whilst putting glitter pen on top lol. Adhered the rainbow panel with liquid glue, so I could place it with some wiggle time, then mounted the panel with foamtape and adhered it to a cardbase.

For more information, more DT examples or to play along the AAA cards Challenge, see this.

  1. Loving all your rainbow shine and glimmer Maaike. Super card showing exactly what AAA Cards is looking for in a CAS card.

  2. Your rainbow colors are so pretty, Maaike!

  3. What a cool geometric card, Maaike! Loved reading about how you created it- I thought the hexagons were stuck to the card base rather than behind it!

  4. Love the rainbow geometric border and that gorgeous, scripty sentiment!

  5. The rainbow is so fun, Maaike! =) Tracie
