life sucks

 

Hello, today I'm using the Dracula digi from Whimsy Stamps and Dustin Pike.

I had a different sentiment on it at first, but the printer ate it, lucky maybe, not sure but it said "yes..I know a lot of Vampire jokes, but the all suck!" 

So I thought I'll redo it tomorrow and in the mean time I came up with Life Sucks Sometimes. I thought it was funny with the image of a blood sucking vampire, but I am 5 years old of course.

I printed the cardpanel, and added a moon, I didn't want to mask Dracula, so there's a bit of a halo, but I actually think that looks fab. Also didn't want to leave it without the Moon.

I colored the image with alcohol markers.

Matted the panel and adhered it to a cardbase.

A Haunting we will go

 

Hello, today I made a Halloween scene with many Whimsy Stamps goodies. I've used the newly released Peeking Pumpkins, together with Caramel Cared.

I flipped the Caramel Cared digi, there's a few in the set, I used the empty gravestone. but I flipped the image in Photoshop so I could attach one of the Peeking Pumpkins and resize it to fit the gravestone, like he's actually peeking from behind.. I printed it and colored with alcohol markers, cut it out.

Figured out where I wanted my moon on the cardbase and applied Distress inks through a round mask.

I've used: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber.

For the ghosts and sentiment I've used the Whimsy Stamps Spirited sentiment (clear set), There's also a comparable didi version, but it doesn't have the ghosts; and I wanted it to look like the ghosts are appearing from the grave or gravestone, bats would also be very cool though.

Mounted the image with foamtape and adhered it on top. 

In my head I thought Caramel and Pumpkin man went to pick up the ghosts to go haunting.

AAA Card Challenge #272: Sketch

 

Hi this fortnight,we have a sketch and I  took my inspiration from it for sure. I did't remember it accurately from memory, but it's similar and all on the cardbase, so No layers.

I've used the My Favorite Things Set Artistic Prints with Memento Inks (summer Sky, Lulu Lavender, New Sprout, London Fog, Teal Zeal)

and for the sentiment Whimsy Stamps Simple Sentiment Strips

AAA Colourful Challenge #7

 

Hello this month in the game badge colours and image  I see  a beach.

So for my card I inkblended Distress ink: Mermaid Lagoon and Scattered Straw on my cardbase, left a white strip as if it's the foam on the waves. I suppose it's a very graphic representation, but the star of my card is, of course, my image; I've tried to stick to the same colours, just different hues.

It's a clear set from Whimsy Stamps: Water Fun Dragons and I coloured it with Copic markers, then cut it out and mounted it with foamtape, adhered it to the cardbase and added some white gel pen details.

The sentiment is also Whimsy Stamps: Simple Sentiment strips and I stamped it with Versafine black ink.

Don't be a scared Spider

 Hellooooo, or should that be Helloweeeeeen ? ;-)

Today I'm using 3 digi stamp files from Whimsy Stamps: Frank 1, Spider , both Dustin Pike and the Halloween sentiments.

I prepped my card panel in Photoshop and place Frank1 like he's trying to step over the many many spiders. I've resized a few, flipped their orientation and placed them all on the "floor", I thought it could be mama spider with all her young. Colored them with alcohol markers.

The sentiment is another perfect example of why I love digi files, you might be familiar with partial stamping, or mirror stamping, like with the spiders, but you can change the size. I did same digital partial stamping to make the Don't be a scared spider instead of the don't be a scaredy cat, i've combined two files and made them into one. Printed the sentiment separately,  and made it into a banner.I could have printed them together, but I wanted to do something else first.

AAA Card Challenge #271: Anything Cas Goes with the option of Holidays

 Hello, we have an Anything Goes Challenge again with the twist of Summer holidays or travels. Holiday's as in Vacations is what I meant when I made the tile, but Holidays as in Christmas is valid too.

For my card I diecut the known buildings scene from white cardstock, it's from Marianne Design (CR1472) I also diecut a standalone tower of Pisa, which is included in this border, but I cut it off as I wanted it on top. then I thought that's too many layers and my Sentiment would be French, I don't think I have something Italian that might fit the theme...should check. The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers (Wish you were here) and I stamped it with Memento Teal zeal to kind of match the background I inkblended on the card base (Distress inks Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers) Thought the teal is a nice change from Tumbled Glass skies ;-)

Added the panel  to the cardbase with tape runner and little drops of glue on the tips of the buildings

AAA Birthday Card Challenge August: Critters #64

 

Hello this month the AAA Birthday Challenge is my choice and, of course, I chose critters as I like my litle furry friends.

For my card I made the background by masking off the top of the cardbase and applied all sorts of green Distress inks and splattered with water. I thought it could be a tree or forest background.

The images and sentiment are from Clearly Besotted (Tiny type and Nutty but nice) and I've used my Copic Markers to color the Squirrels.
