AAA Birthday Card Challenges February : Heart #58

Hello, this month we're all about Hearts  on Birthday Cards, probably because it's Valentine's but I didn't know how to implement it. 

In the end I came up with a Diecut Heart window (Marianne Design CR1351 and I cut it from a cardpanel.

Traced the opening onto the cardbase and inkblended various tones of green Distress ink, like grass or a meadow or just a contrasting color

I stamped the sentiment from Whimsy Stamps ( Simple Sentiment Strips) and then mounted the panel with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

I had some of these diecuts left over from  a color challenge I entered last year and thought I could tuck those into the corner, so I did.

AAA Cards Challenge #257: Anything CAS goes with optional twist Love is in the air

 

This fortnight anything Clean and Simple goes and if that's too broad for you, use the optional twist of Love is in the air as Valentine's day is coming up.   I don't do Valentine's day and so I made a snarky card with the Clearly Besotted: Purrfect Valentine and a sentiment from Impression Obsession that just made me giggle (C17253)

I colored the cat with alcohol markers, cut it out and stuck it on the cardbase with foamtape.

the sentiment was stamped with Versafine ink

Gecko Love

 Hello, today for Whimsy Stamps I am using a digi from the  Crissy Armstrong line, called Gecko Love.

I printed it, cut it out and  then colored with alcohol markers. There were some heart shaped tassels dangling from the box, I cut those off by mistake, or as I call it, I butchered the cutting out part....too fine  a detail for me ;-)

I made a heart shaped mask and applied Distress inks Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry, then splattered with gold metallic paint, let it dry

Removed the mask and placed the gecko on the cardbase. I wanted the sentiment  the the right of the gecko, and it just just fits. to be completely fair, I was so concerned with it being straight that it was lucky it didn't go off the side ..phew..lucky me, it's a bit close, but hey, it's hand made ;-)

The sentiment is from Whimsy also from a clear set: Simple Sentiment Strips and I stamped it with Versafine black ink.

birthday fly by

 Hello , this week I adapted a digi from Whimsy  stamps for a birthday card.

It's called Doggie Sky Writer from Crissy Armstrong.

There's also a clear stamp that is similar and you can build your own banner sentiment, I cut it off.

the digi version says be mine, but I don't do Valentine day cards, I like them, but I have no need for them if that makes sense.

I made a cloud banner by cutting some from masking paper and applying Distress ink, whatever blue was left on my inkblending brush.

The sentiment is from a Whimsy Clear set: Simple Sentiment Strips and I stamped it with Versafine ink.

I printed the image, colored it with alcohol markers and mounted the elements with foamtape.

Then I added White Gel pen and shimmer pen  and adhered the images to the cardbase.

for my card I've used a stencil and Distress inks for my banner. then I thought it went well with the image I had previously colored, it's a digi from Whimsy Stamps.

gnome in the forest, build a scene set

 Hello, Happy 2024.

Today I'd like to showcase the digi set: Gnome make a scene forest by Crissy Armstrong.

I made the background by layering and even mirroring the trees, if you look closely you can see the repeat.

I made them a bit more Spring like in color as it's a new year, so I thought the sentiment Hugs and Kisses went well  with all the pink cuteness.

Maybe a little early for Easter, but Valentine would also be cute, or Happy Birthday, of course, is always a goot one to add to your stash.

I printed the scene on Copic paper and colored it with Graph it Brush and Spectrum Noir Markers.

I cut out the gnome and mounted him with foam tape, then adhered him onto the forest.

I stamped the sentiment from the Simple Sentiment Strips with Versafine Morning Mist.

Matted the   panel and adhered it onto a cardbase.

AAA Birthday Card Challenge January: Rainbow Colors #57

Hello this month we're all about Rainbow or Rainbow colors  at the AAA Birthday Cards  Challenge.

My card is DIstress inks applied through a Create a Smile Stencil (glassware) and a Whimsy Stamps Sentiment. I've added the illusion of shelved with a pencil, I didn't want them to be too prominent, much like the sentiment I've done it in Morning Mist from Versafine Clair ink.

Then I wanted to add a clever image or diecut, but I decided against it and just continued the vases to the bottom (light pink and light yellow)

My Distress inks were: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin,Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and later Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade
