AAA Cards Challenge #49: word play and Less is more #243: something shiny

AAA Cards  Challenge #49: word play.
Less is more Challegen #243

I think on my card the sentiment plays the leading role , not sure I might be wrong ;-)..haha and it's pretty shiny too

I used lots and lots of glorious shiny and pesky glitter powders in a rainbow order.

I don't mind using it, but always regret it when clean up time comes...

To make the sentiment I stuck Elizabeth Crafts 1 inch double sided sticky tape onto a piece of card, on both sides so it makes the die cut into a sticker and it has a sticky front.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Big Hello die to cut it out.
I had to pass it quite a few times to cut it, as the release paper is very tough.
Once I managed that I left it in place and carefully peeled of the first section of the word and sprinkled red glitter on it. Rubbed it into the adhesive with my bone folder, then wiped off the excess and continued to the next letter.

When the whole word was coverd I removed it from the card and removed the backing.

Carefully placed it on the cardbase and pressed it down.

It's fabulous and glittery and oh man everyone should get excited to get this card..I hope :-D

Glitter makes me smile anyway.

Update on October 3rd: I remade the card with a video, so you can see how I made it, thanks ladies for all your kind comments!

  2. Simply FABULOUS Maaike and a great glitter-tastic and shiny card.
Perfect for our wordy challenge at AAA Cards but would equally work at the Less is More shiny challenge if you fancy dropping it in there too. Thanks so much.

Great card and deserves to be seen there and there's a thought ... I don't think there is a limit to the number of entries per week at LIM!
