Sparkle and Shine Challenge #25

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #25

For my card I cased myself, infact the card I made earlier today had blue tones and whilst making it I thought "if I had made it green..." So I did and filmed it too.

I don't have any St. Patrick's day stuff, we don't celebrate it as far as I know. I don't.
Last year I tried to make clover leaves with heart dies to make votives, which worked ok.

But now I decided to just be inspired by the green in the photo, infact green is pretty much all I see ;-) some metal color I thought to be silver (hence brushed pewter) but I now think it's  lepracaun gold...duh

So for my card I swiped mini Distress inkpad over a homemade stencil (cracked pistachio and peacock feathers)
As I used this stencil before with texture paste and glitter, the sides got a bit gritty, which add to the vintagy look, I like, but the sides were also quite sharp/hard and some of the felt pads lost a string or two...so be careful.

I then splattered it with white, twisted citron and brushed pewter spray stains, also Distress.

I used the bunnies from the Lawn Fawn  set called hello baby and stamped them with Memento for Spectrum Noir markers coloring. Pretty basic coloring as the images are so small.
Cut them out and neated up the edges with the Memento black marker, mounted foam tape on the back.
Stamped the sentiment with Versafine black, also from the Hello baby set.
Lucky for me the sentiment fitted right between the two stripes.

Used some Pretty pink posh sparkly clear sequins and other matching colors, I'm not sure of those which are PPP anymore.
I attached those with Tack it over and over from Aleene's which I turn into gluedots, see the video on how I do that, pretty easy and handy, you can make any size gluedot!
The store bought ones are 5mm and yet they always poke out a little from 6mm sequins, which drives me mad! So now I  make my own...easy

The votives I made last year were inspired by a video from Shari Carroll and I used them in a Simon Says Stamp challenge, still have them as i really liked the sponged paper (right one the other is colored cardstock)
