For my card today I've used the Zodiac kids Sagittarius from Craftin Desert Divas.
I'm a Sagittarius and my favorite color is purple and all it's hues like this dusty lilac; that's how I chose to color this image.
For the background I wanted to make a starry sky and maybe draw in the constellation, but I found a few different images and the were all called Sagittarius, wanting it to be correct I thought I better not attempt any.
I masked a portion of the card and applied Distress inks for my space: blueprint Sketch, chipped sapphire and black soot.
I used water, and white and silver spray stains for my stars.
The sentiment is from Say it big, also Craftin Desert Divas.

Cross stitch gift tags
The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: Gift it.
For this I made a couple of tags with a tag die and the criss stitch die , both are Marianne Design, but similar ones are available across the industry.
My grid is 15x15 stitches, which was the biggest challenge, find something that fits. So after scouring the internet and Pnterest I found a coupls of Perler Bead pattern and figured those would work too.
I've used DMC embroidery thread and after completing I've lined the bahg with a white tag diecut so I can write something on it.
I mounted them togethwith foamtape.
For more information on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, see this.

Let it snow
This fortnight the Less is More Challenge is: One Layer cards and Holiday themed.
The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: Baby it's cold outside, showcasing Penny Black products.
For my card I masked off a strip at the top.
I ink blended Memento inks: Summer Sky, Bahama blue, Teal Zeal and Nautical blue inside the area. Then Splattered on white inks (Dylusions white linen and Kuretake 30 ink) Heat set it.
I've used the sentiment from the Penny Black set called Merry Delight. There are three cute images in the set as well, but it being the One Layer challenge, I thought a silhouette stamp is easier.
For the image inside the strip I've used the Creative Expressions SYR038 Secret Woodland and Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I might add a few silver rhinestones, but wasn't sure if that's considered a layer...so left them hehe.

AAA Cards Challenge #129: Mostly White
This challenge was chosen by DT member Asa and our sponsor is Stamplorations.
For my card I used the My Favorite Things big hugs die and diecut it from white, three times, once from hot pink and lime green.
The polar bear is also My Favorite Things and I stamped it with MFT ink onto the Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers. I snuck a bit of color into his scarf, same as in the diecuts.
I then diecut the hugs from the cardbase and lined the opening from the back and placed the letters back in, stacking, white-color-white.
Adhered the polar bear with glue to the cardbase.
For more information, more DT examples and or to play along the AAA Cards Challenge, see this.

Penguin on a sled
For today's card I've used one of the images from the Craftin Desert Divas Chilly Time set.
I printed it on marker friendly paper, cut it out and colored it with my alcohol markers.
I thought it would look like fun if the penguin was sliding down a hill.So I placed a piece of glitter card in the corner and applied some Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass for shading.
I've used the same ink for stamping the sentiment. That is from a Craftin Desert Divas Clear stampset called Tis the season.
Applied the penguin and hill with liquid glue.

You are beautiful to me
Today I'm showing you an interactive card I made for Craftin Desert Divas, using their digis:
Belle of the Ball and Beast Prince. I printed them on marker friendly paper, cut them out and used my alcohol markers to color them. I then spritzed the dress with Shimmer spritz.
Then I inkblended a triangle on a panel, as if the party lighting. I chose two colors, but one spotlight color would also work of course.
I've used Distress inks Twisted Citron and Wilted Violet.
Then I cut a channel to make my slider.
I mounted the panel with foamtape and also the images. then I mounted it all onto the cardbase.
I have entered the card into the Moving parts challenge for the Male Room challenge.
You are beautiful to me is from the Beast Prince set.

Artist Trading Coins with Frosty Fairies
I made three more Artist Trading coins, for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (let it snow) and Wednesday Challenge ( all that glitters is gold) and showcasing Lawn Fawn.
So for my coins I watercolored half a sheet of watercolor paper 300grams in blue and lilac tones.
then added snow with splatters of white ink, snow effect from Viva Decor and the Simon Says Stamp falling snow stencil with the same ice effect, but as the coins are quite small I went for the lower bit on the stencil and now kinda wonder if it was worth the trouble haha...let it dry. I then diecut 2,5"circles and boy that ice effect turned out rock hard and difficult to cut, so I probably will add it last if I use more.
I then stamped the fairies from Lawn Fawn (frosty fairy friends) and used the matching dies to cut them out, I colored them with Illustrator and Copic markers. Added show shimmer with a Nuvo glitter pen on the wings.
mounted the fairies with foamtape.
Added the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink (same stampset) and placed the fairies. and then I added some glittery dew drops. the little tree thing is also a die from the same set. the twig with berries and I felt the only I could use to cut out a shape you'd recognize without stamping.

no glue Treat Triangles for tea and After Eight mints, with video and free pattern
Today's giftbox was heavily inspired by one from Pootles Papercrafts, but I've changed the size to fit my treats better and to fit on my cardstock better, but I loved her idea, and I've linked here above, so go check it out.
For my little box you need a piece of cardstock 4,1/2"high and 7"wide.
The finished box is 21/2"square and about 1 1/2"wide at the bottom.
You score on the long side a: 21/2", 5"and 61/4".
on the short side at 1" from either side.
fold and burnish the score lines, remove bits as shown on the pattern.
Round the corners if you like, it makes closing the little boxes a bit easier, also looks nicer.
Add ribbon and or embellishments as you see fit.

You are golden
The Less is More challenge is metallic this fortnight.
I've used gold mirror card and gold rhinestones for my metal bits.
For the card I diecut Jij from glitter cardstock, mounted it with foamtape.
I made the sentiment in Photoshop as the new Karin Joan set JIJ (kj1726) doesn't have it.
Cut it out and mounted it on the gold card.
The sentiment says literally "worth gold" with the JIj being you, so you're worth gold. But I think in English they'd say you're worth your weight in gold or you're golden. Anyway positive reinforcement.
For the cardbase/background I;ve applied Distress oxides through a stencil.
For more information on the Les sis More Challenge, see this.
Wasn't sure if glitter is "metallics" enough, so I changed my card from White glitter embossed snowflakes to this.

Jingle sled
Today I'm showing how I made this card with the cutest little reindeer and it's sled.
It's Jingle sled digi from Craftin Desert Divas.
I colored it with my Spectrum Noir and Illustrator markers, cut it out.
For the background I inkblended Shaded Lilac and Tumbled glass Distress Oxides.
I used a white gel pen for some stars and water to splatter.
The sentiment is from Tis the season a clear set from Craftin Desert Divas as well and I used Broken China oxide to stamp it.
Mounted the deer with foamtape and adhered it to the card.

AAA Cards Challenge #128: on the Move
This fortnight our challenge is: on the move.
Our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers and you could win a stampset if you play along.
I had some troubles with my card. On the move, could be moving house, moving up in your job, taking a trip and such, all things I don't seem to have stamps for.
In the end I chose three stampsets: Art Impressions Panda Slider for the plane, Stampendous Tweet Chirps for the sentiment and Craft Sensations for the lighthouse.
I stamped the plane onto Crafter's Companion Neenah paper, colored him with Spectrum Illustrator markers and used the matching die to cut him out.
I stamped the lighthouse with Aspen Mist Versamagic ink onto the cardbase. I wanted a hint of a scene, but also I wanted the Panda the focus point.
He's taking a trip around the world, it was his dream, hence the sentiment...does it all make sense? It does in my head hehe. The sentiment I stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.
Mounted the panda with foamtape and adhered him to the cardbase.
For more information, more DT examples and or to play along the AAA Cards Challenge, see this.
Since making this card our Sponsor Happy Little Stampers sent all the DT two stampsets, so I made a card using their "wish you were here" and "mix mash".
I inkblended Distress inks on the top of the card (festive berries, ripe persimmon and mustard seed) then stamped the London silhouette (from wish you were here) on top with Versafine Clair (nocturn). same ink for the sentiment( from mix mash).
I had also stamped the double decker bus and wanted to mount it on the line, but I really didn't want to cover the gorgeous skyline.

Aurora Borealis background
I tried to make my background look like the Northern lights.
I've used black, blue and green Ecoline pens and then splattered white Ecoline and Nuvo shimmer Midas gold glitter pen.
For the landscapes I"ve used some Craft Emotions dies and the Your Next Stamp die Houses on a hill.
For snow I;ve used white glitter card.

Craftin Desert Divas Creative Challenge: Winter Wonderland
This week I made a card with the digital stamp Santa Paws. I printed it onto marker friendly paper and cut him out. Then I colored him with my alcohol markers and added white gelpen to the eyes and nose.
For the background I masked off an area on the cardbase and applied Distress inks, then splattered with white ink. I thought the colors could be from the Northern Lights, you can see from some parts of the world, usually cold ones ;-) hence my connection with the Winter Wonderland theme.
Removed the masking and stamped the sentiment from Tis the Season with Versafine onyx black ink.
Mounted the little dog with foamtape and adhered him to the card.
I got this image with my monthly digi club subscription, totally worth it as you get them for half price, check it out.

Light up Santa
Yesterday night I've been playing with led lights. I am currently editing a video for it, it's scheduled for November 15th, so please come back, if interested.
It's way too hard to explain it in words only.
But basically I've used a diode led light with bulb and a battery.
4 layers of foamtape to hide everything.
I don't really like the messy looks from the side so I will also try it with craft foam and a pocket for the battery, but that wouldn't have worked on my first version.
Anyway I think it's super fun, as if Santa got eggnog instead of milk at too many houses ;-).
I've used the Marianne Design collectables col1391 for Santa. And Simon Says Stamp Merry Christmas stamp with Versafine Clair ink.
As the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, is Anything goes, showcasing SSS products, I thought I would enter it now and and the video later.
