AAA Birthday Card Challenge August: Critters #64

 

Hello this month the AAA Birthday Challenge is my choice and, of course, I chose critters as I like my litle furry friends.

For my card I made the background by masking off the top of the cardbase and applied all sorts of green Distress inks and splattered with water. I thought it could be a tree or forest background.

The images and sentiment are from Clearly Besotted (Tiny type and Nutty but nice) and I've used my Copic Markers to color the Squirrels.

Whimsy Stamps Digi Hop

 

Hello, today I'm honored to take part in the Whimsy Stamps hop: Christmas in July.

For my card I've used Frosty Hugs and added the wording in Photoshop, as Frosty is melting I thought the Oh oh oh instead of the usual Ho Ho Ho was funny and a nod to Christmas, a fan as it's really hot (even in the Netherlands at the mo) and the is it winter yet  cos we need a bit of relief...

I colored it with alcohol markers , matted the panel and stuck it on a cardbase.

AAA Card Challenge #270: Sketch

Hello this fortnight it's  a Sketch challenge again.

When I made the game badge for the AAA Challenge, I just went with a blue gradient, tried a few, they looked weird in Photoshop, and well...blue looked like the Sea or ocean , so I added a Shark image.

It doesn't have to be a silhouette, could be a sentiment too, as long as we can see a gradient and  the sketch, which you can flip, rotate . I wasn't very original with my take on the sketch, but I did rotate the orientation of the gradient so make it works for my ocean or shark tank.

I made my gradient with Distress inks in a masked off area on the cardbase:  Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Uncharted Mariner, then Splattered with water.

The silhouettes are made with a stencil from Whimsy Stamps (Ocean Stencil) and Memento Tuxedo black ink.

The sentiment is also Whimsy Stamps: Simple Sentiment Strips and I stamped it with Versafine black ink.

AAA Colourful challenge #6

 

Hello this month our game badge is quite unmistakably a sunset, I see a tropical sunset.

I had found the cardbase in my project bin, I discarded it before, not sure why as it's perfect for this challenge.

But I don't remember exactly what colours of Distress inks I've used, I'm guessing Lumberjack plaid and Carved Pumpkin maybe a Candied Apple? 

I inkblended these colors between two torn  edges I made with masking paper.

The palmtrees are from Marianne Design (LR0541) and the Seagulls from Gummiapan and I diecut them from black cardstock and adhered them to the cardbase.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips) and I stamped it with Versafine black ink..

"happy" birthday

 Hello, today I'm using a Whimsy Stamps Digi by Dustin Pike. it's Caramel's Happy Day and it's funny cos she isn't at all happy, makes me giggle at least.

That's why I put the Happy in between brackets/quotes, it's from the Whimsy Stamps Simple Sentiment strips.

The Birthday is from the Birthday Wishes dieset. I diecut it from white cardstock I colored with Distress inks (picked Raspberry), kind of trying to match the hooves I colored with alcohol markers.

The background is also Distress inks: Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade. I did go for happy and Summery colors, don't think Caramel approves ;-).

AAA Cards Challenge #269: Anything CAS goes and the option of Summer

 

Hello, this fortnight we have the Anything Goes challenge again, and we're all about Summer and or Summer colors if you'd like the take the optional twist.

For my card I wanted to use the Whimsy Stamps Gullibles stampset and I  made a little scene with the rock a Gull fling away going toi Seize the fry..I thought that was funny.

I grounded the rock with some simple inkblending on the cardbase, a circle mask and some masking tape.

Monster Birthday Wishes

 Hello, today I made a Birthday Card with  Whimsy Stamps goodies.

I printed the digis from Monster Smiles, two of them facing each other so it looks like they're holding a banner or sign.

I colored them with my newly acquired Ohuhu markers, treated myself  with them, got the bullet nib though as they're cheaper and I actually prefer the hard nib for precision.

I then diecut the Birthday from Birthday Wishes and inkblended Distress inks Black Soot and Lost Shadow, then glues it on the "banner". The Wishes is from Happy Sayings and I stamped it with Versafine Black ink. Adhered the panel onto a cardbase.
