CAS Colours & sketches challenge #148: duo challenge

CAS Colours & sketches challenge #148: duo challenge

For my card I sponged Distress inks on the cardbase. I used shaded lilac, seedless preserves and picked raspberry. I then splattered it with water and white Distress stain for interest. I thought the white would be ok as it's a neutral.
I've diecut 3 butterflies out of watercolor paper I colored or sponged and then never use up. these where the same colours, although they look different, because I applied these wet with a brush instead of sponge.
I used a gluedot in the centre of the butterflies  (Joy Craft! vintage flourishes) so I could pop up the wings a little.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, birthday balloons and I heat embossed that with a purple embossing powder from Lindy's stampgang (imperial crown purple gold)

  4. You've done a fabulous job with our double challenge! The splatters give a lovely celestial feel to the inked panel, and I like the dimension you've given the butterflies. Thanks so much for joining us this week at CC&S!
