I've chosen to make a polka dot card with Distress inks.
Actually it wasn't my first or second card, but this is what I loved most.I made this card with the Whimsy digi To the Moon from the Dustin Pike line.
I didn't add any sentiment as I feel Happy Valentine's day kind of limits the purpose of this card. Now it could be engagement, moving in together or what else you can think of; first Moon travel? I'd like to see that.
I started with the cardbase, and I went full on night sky with it. I've used Distress inks: Blue Print Sketch, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Then splattered with water, white and gold paint.
I printed the digi and colored it with alcohol markers, cut it out and mounted it with foamtape.
You can find the digi in the Whimsy Store here: https://whimsystamps.com/products/to-the-moon-digital-stamp?_pos=4&_sid=8589336f9&_ss=r

On the 8th day of February, my true love gave to me...imagine that song with food items in the days up to Valentine's Day..more me for sure.
Give me Pizza any day instead of diamonds haha. The image is part of the new Whimsy digi release and come with the sentiment or tick boxes; I giggled...
I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and Graph-it brush markers.
Adhered the panel to a cardbase with tape runner.

I started my morning, not with coffee, but with coloring one: Coffee Devil. The sentiment is based on a meme or t-shirt I saw once. I can't remember the wording cos I haven't had my coffee yet ;-)
I don't really do Valentine and if you'r elike me, these digis are perfect for you.
I prepped the image in Photoshop, printed it and colored it with Tri Blend Markers this time and I did go for pink clothes and coffe cup ;-)
Adhered the panel to a cardbase.

I did move the sentiment to the bottom as mine was a trad big and eating onto my white space a lot.
FOr my card I masked off and area and inkblended Distress inks as a kind of sunset. with: Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Squeezed lemonade, them moved the mask for the grass with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.
For my images and sentiment I've used a Happy Little Stampers set: Wish you were here. Stamped the Eiffel tower in Versafine Morning Mist and the Woman and sentiment in Versafine black ink, just so the Eiffeltower looks further in the distance, but it's all one layer.

Hello today I'd like to show you the Whimsy Stamps Digi: Love Birds
I've printed it and then cut it out and then colored it, not sure why in that order but hey...it worked.
For the back ground I've tried to make a bokeh like effect with the lightest of Distress inks and mini blending tools, then went over it with a stencil I made with circle dies and applied white pigment ink and then splattered with gold metallic spray, let it dry and then mounted the digi on top, just liquid glue.
I've used the sentiment from Yeti for Valentine (a clear set also from Whimsy). I did plan to use the 3rd word "Valentine", but I don't have a need for them, so I thought "happy Day" could be any occasion, maybe a wedding or anniversary or the like.
You can find everything in the Whimsy Store:

In the end I came up with a Diecut Heart window (Marianne Design CR1351 and I cut it from a cardpanel.
Traced the opening onto the cardbase and inkblended various tones of green Distress ink, like grass or a meadow or just a contrasting color
I stamped the sentiment from Whimsy Stamps ( Simple Sentiment Strips) and then mounted the panel with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.
I had some of these diecuts left over from a color challenge I entered last year and thought I could tuck those into the corner, so I did.
