Wax paper resist let it snow

The challenge over at Less is More this week is to use lilac and turqoise.

So for my lilac I first chose shaded lilac, but it was too blue so I added a layer of wilted violet on top and for the turqoise I chose peacock feathers.

I inkblended it on top of a panel I used an embossingfolder and waxpaper to create a resist.
Made a video for it too last week, so pop on over if you want to see how that works, I used more and other colors on that video though.

The sentinement is from Avery Elle and I used Ranger dye inks grape soda and Caribbean coast to stamp in.

Some diecuts of snowflakes in glitterpaper,  more or less in the same hue and some Ranger enamel accents in white as falling snow.

  9. Lovely technique, Maaike, it looks beautiful. I too thought Shaded Lilac was too blue so also chose others for my blending.
    Thanks for sharing with us.
