Is it St. Patrick's Day yet?

 Hello,  today I'm using the new Whimsy Stamps Dig: Caramel Beer and it gave me St. Patrick's Day Vibes; so my main color is green.

I printed the digi and colored it with alcohol markers and as I wasn't about to cut around all the bubbles and hearts I tried to disguise it  by matching it with the background.

The background is Distress inks I applied through a mask I made , it's a Barba Papa blob like shape.

The sentiment I printed at the same time and cut out, mounted both the image and sentiment with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

I don't drink coffee

 

Hello, today I wanted to use two new digis from Whimsy Stamps and Dustin Pike:

Caramel Coffee and Caramel Ignores.

I prepped the images  on the pc and I cropped the sentiment that is in between them,

I coy and pasted the I do from I don't and put it on the mug, so one wakes up without coffee and the other needs it, does it make sense?. 

I didn't want to make the images smaller so I could fit a speech balloon, and I only cropped out the lower part of the sentiment later in the process as, at first I wanted it to look like they were leaning against it, or each other.

Colored the images with Tri Blend Markers from Spectrum Noir.

Matted the panel and adhered it to a cardbase.

White gel pen for the eyes.

AAA Cards Challenge #260: Sketch

This fortnight we have a sketch and as  always you can flip or rotate it if you like as long as we can see it.

Now I have to admit it took me a while to find the right stamps and images and , you'd think I might consider this when I make the sketches, but nope I just go in with a blanc mind..hehe

I've used the Marianne Design  Panda's and I've stamped them on watercolor card with Versafine.

At first I did it on my cardbase with Copic safe ink, as I wanted to  use my Copics, but it would bleed through the cardstock to the inside and all the black on the panda's made stamping difficult.

So I went with watercolor card and Karin Markers

Sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips) and the clouds is a Stencil also Marianne Design and I've used whatever was left on my blu inkblending brushes, looks like Broken China.

AAA Card Challenges March: Geometric #59

Hello, this month we play with Geometric shapes on your birthday cards.

For my card I first went blobs, liked it but then I realized organic shapes aren't geometric..so onwards...My second card looks a lot like the end result, but I can't stand the look of it, so onto the third and final version.

I've inkblended rectangles with Distress ink Lost Shadow, then laid circles on top, And As Distress  inks are transparent, you can see the shapes underneath, something I loved about my organic blobs.

I've used  Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Mermaid lagoon.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Brushed Greetings II and I stamped it with Versafine Clair ink Morning Mist.

Splattered with a bit of black metallic ink, Ok not perfect circles but I needed something organic  and a bit of shine. I think the circles look like floating Planets

"Happy" Birthday?

 Hello, today I've used the new Whimsy Stamps Digi: Caramel's Happy Day..

I printed it with a sentiment "Smile, it's your day" but my printer prints on a slant and when you cut out things it's OK, but on a cardpanel?

I colored the image with alcohol markers and cut him out. I gave him a 5 o'clock shadow as if he's not shaved, I think it's a him ;-)

For the background I"ve masked of a strip on the cardbase and inkblended a Distress ink rainbow with: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and WIlted VIolet. Matched the white bits I didn't cut out on the image with the cardbase, also the balloon, rests exactly on the yellow behind...kind of on purpose ;-).

The sentiment I stamped with Versafine Black ink and it's from the Whimsy Stamps Simple Sentiment Strips set.

I paused my game to be here

Hello, today I wanted to showcase another new digi stamps from Whimsy and Dustin Pike: Gaming Monster.

The sentiment inside the screen is already in the digi, but I added the Love is: I paused my game for you"

I printed it on Copic safe paper and colored it, mostly with Graph it brush markers because of the fine details.

Adhered the panel to a cardbase.

AAA Cards Challenge #259: Anything Cas Goes, optional twist is Birthday

 

Hello, this fortnight we have an Anything CAS (Clean and Simple) goes.

If you are undecided you could use the optional twist to steer you in the right direction: Birthday.

I think Anything Goes is very broad and personally I need a little extra to choose.

So I did go to my stash of precolored images and used it for my card: Whimsy Stamps Peeking Panda's. As I colored it a while ago the little strips got bent and so I cut them off. Sentiment is from the same stampset.

Background is inkblended Distress ink: Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Villainous Poison.
