Camp create 2017, day 3, spectacular shakers

So on the Youtube video from My Favorite Things I said "I immediately thought of the porthole when I saw the title"Now MFT used it on their video I thought I should do something else, but I didn't ;-)

I did take a look at the trio stitched peekaboo die, but that's not very nautical looking.
And I already did a card with three portholes...so here is my card.

I stamped the pirate and the island on Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.
I'm not sure what the little "icing" on the island is all about, maybe wet and dry sand? I did do the  bottom bit darker, but it's only slightly visible.

I cut out a gold mirrored porthole.
For the shaker I used double sided adhesive all over a
piece of craft foam, front and back.
cut out a hole from the panel and the craft foam.
Adhered the acetate with taperunner.
Placed the island panel flat, and put on glitter and sequins and then placed the front bit of the card on top.
I usually close the shaker pocket with that island panel, but as I wanted it straight I had to see where I was sticking it. It;s not straight now also, so....haha...well the sea was a bit choppy shall we say?

The sentiment is from the same stampset (party like a pirate by My Favorite Things) and I stamped it with Versafine onyx black.
I splattered some black watercolor on the panel for an aged look, if that makes sense.

Adhered the porthole on top and then the pirate with taperunner.

Some shimmer pen on the sword for a shine metal.
